Our Instructors Bartend and Own Restaurants in San Diego. Sub-​Contracted, Abartender4hire has been training for the past four years at Professional Bartending Schools all over San Diego. During that time we found that other local school were teaching wrong recipes and drinks that are never ordered along with false material. In addition It lack Passion. So We decided it was now our Responsibility to Create Bartenders that are proficient in: Speed, Accuracy, Creating Multiple Cocktails Simultaneously, Recipe Knowledge and Much More Including Tips and Secrets from our staff with over 50 years combined experience in the Industry.

Arnold Barkhorn (Arnie B.) 15+ years Bartending/​Bar Managing/​Bar Flair. Instructed and Trained All over Southern California. He Created a Training Style That is Unique and Unlike any other school. Because of this you can tell that someone has been trained by us. From Corporate Bars to Private Events and Venues, he has seen it all. He is a very fun and animated instructor with tons of knowledge and experience. This is where we get most of our passion from.

Excellent bartending class and so much fun! Arnie had hot coffee ready for us every morning and was very thorough with the material. I would recommend taking this class even if you’re not planning on becoming a bartender because you learn so many fun drinks. I stocked my liquor cabinet and can now entertain guests with delicious drinks. I’m also currently training for a bartending position and I feel like the class really helped. Take it!

I just finished the masters of bartending course and it was fantastic, five stars all around. Its a lot of material but the instructor made it easy and fun to learn it. I came into this course knowing only two kinds of drinks and left confident in not only highballs but cocktails, martinis, and shooters too. Again great course highly recommend.

This is the best Bartending school around!!! Coming from a back ground in education I can tell you that Arnie, the instructor, is well knowledgable in his field and has the patience of a saint when it comes to instructing any body and any one from all sorts of backgrounds. It is obviously true that bartenders are like psychologists as Arnie knows how to get the best out of you in your performance behind the bar. Very well structured thus why it is well taught! Not all schools have good instructors/​teachers but this one is worth it’s weight in gold. Well worth the investment into your future in the bar/​restaurant business!

I had a great time, and I learned a lot for the two week class. Arny, our instructor was very knowledgeable and he knows a lot on how to be a great bartender. He shared with us his experience of becoming a professional bartender, starting from the very beginning. I highly recommend that if you want to have fun and want to learn an array of cocktails out there, take the 2 week bartending course, and I assure you that you will learn a lot while having a great time. At the end of your 2 weeks, you will be surprised at what you have accomplished and will be poised to be the best bartender you want to be.

I had researched many bartending instruction schools and most all were online. I am a «hand’s on» learner so I chose MOB. I am SO glad I did. Arnie is an excellent instructor. He gives personal experience and insight when teaching. He is also very supportive. I was a bit intimidated but Arnie and the rest of the (small) class were very helpful.
I recommend M.O.B. with the highest regard!!!

I did a lot of research before I decided which bartending school to enroll. I had heard Arny’s name also in other school reviews. I compared the classes and this one takes the cake. Arny is the real deal when it’s comes to skill, real scenarios you will face, and genuine about getting everyone to succeed the course. They are adding more programs to the school soon and i look forward to see what else they will bring next year. I’m stoked I joined the M.O.B.

This is a good place. Lots of information and instruction giving by an awesome master of bartending! Two of us from the class were offered bartending jobs right out of completion of the course! Arnie is the instructor and he is great. He is there to guide you and coach you but also let you work at your own pace and create your own rhythm and flow. Definitely worth the affordable price if you just want to learn something fun as a hobby or take tending bar on as a career.

First off, this was a BLAST! Arny made things that seemed overwhelming, manageable. Early on, I wasn’t sure if could grasp the sheer amount of drinks to remember. .but Arny has the system down to let people progress at their own rate. From 1st timer, thru experienced… the information was really on point. It was informative, safe and most of all… FUN!
After that class I have more of an appreciation of the skills, from memory to social, that being behind the bar requires.
Simply put, if you want to learn drink combinations and have fun doing it, pick Masters of Bartending.

I did lots or research including checking reviews before selecting MoD. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The certifying course taught by Arnie is well organized, professional and well designed to help us students gain not only the knowledge but the necessary skills in a comfortable & conducive enviroment.
The format of the class was well designed to maximize the learning process. Each class started off with lectures and then on to practical hands on pouring of the drinks. Arnie was always available for assistance and also offered tips & insights that would help any bartender, new or established. With each new day the class built on what we had previously learned.
It truly helped that MoD classroom was set up as working bar with multiple stations. In addition it helped myself and almost all my fellow classmates that MoD offered concurrent classes in the morning and the evening, so you could arrange around your schedule.
As note, I don’t know how you can learn the bartending trade with an online course. As repetitive hands on building of the drinks & live critiquing is essential. That’s a major part what MoD offered
I would highly recommend MoD & Arnie to anyone wanting to learn the art of bartending.

I did this course on a whim and really enjoyed my time here. Arny is a great teacher with many years of experience. His acronyms and sayings really help you remember drink ingredients.
However, you learn much more than that, including bar safety, strategies on how to handle different customers and techniques to speed up your drink output times. There’s even a little flair added for those who want to try. Can’t beat the price and you get to learn in a relaxed and motivational environment. I definitely recommend this to everyone. Give it a shot! You won’t regret it.

I looked into several bartending schools looking for the best teacher and Arny’s name kept coming up, even on other school’s pages. When he left his former place to start his own thing, I went out of my way to travel the extra miles in order to learn from the best.
I loved the way he set up his classes: you learn not only from his lessons but from the other students as well when you’re behind the bar. You mess up over and over and over again until you can’t possibly mess up the drink recipes anymore and you surprise yourself one morning when you find that you now know every drink solid. At least that was my case ^^
Arny hasn’t done much advertising or social media stuff, which is something I recommend he amp up because otherwise people will keep going to the wrong bartending teachers.

It was the best decision to go with him, because the great reviews I read are all true. Arny is SO passionate about bartending, and he’s got some great experience and advice to back up his training. This school is awesome. It was closeby and it only took 2 weeks to graduate. I graduated today (5⁄29) and get my certificate soon. The instructor, Arnie, is very professional as well, he has been bartending for 15 years and I feel very confident and ready for what’s to come in the next few weeks! The classes are affordable and all of the tools needed are already there. You learn everything… from highballs to martinis, from cocktails to shooters… and now I feel very blessed. You won’t regret it. This is the best thing that’s happened to me in a while!
