Description

Specialties

Mezé Express Greek Fusion specializes in authentic Greek food, with an innovative twist: Southern California ingredients, flavors, and presentation. This is best exemplified by our different varieties of Greek tacos, which combine a perfect blend of ingredients like our house-made hot sauce (buy a bottle to take home), spicy tzatziki, different varieties of Greek cheeses (Feta and Haloumi), and our fresh Pico de Gallo (tomatoes, onions, and cilantro).

We also offer traditional wraps and plates made with slow roasted Gyro meat, Chicken or Steak Kabobs, Falafel, or our oven-baked lemon and herb Half Chicken Plate. Try one of our tasty mezes (small plates), like our Cilantro-Jalapeño Hummus, Fiery Feta, or Baba Ghanoush, or try our popular Grilled Asparagus Salad. Choose from one of the 135 flavors in our Coke FreeStyle soda machine, enjoy a refreshing Greek beer or glass of wine, or if you’re feeling adventurous, try the Crazy Donkey IPA from Santorini.

All of our food is made in-house and fresh to order. We pride ourselves on the quality of our food, and our excellent customer service. We also offer gluten-free and vegan options, as well as imported Greek products like: house-cured Kalamata olives, Greek olive oils, cheeses, wine, beer, coffee, pita bread, and many other specialty retail items that you won’t find anywhere else.

We take phone-in To Go orders, or call us to cater your next party or office event.

History

Established in 2014.

We are proud to introduce our newest addition to the R&P Restaurant Group, Mezé Express. With the success of our original Mezé location in the heart of the Gaslamp District in downtown San Diego, it was only natural to expand and bring it to Mission Valley. We started from the ground up, completely remodeled the space, and adapted the concept to fit the needs of those who live, work, and play in the Mission Valley area. Our newest location offers patrons the chance to stop in for a quick meal in a more casual atmosphere than our full service downtown restaurant, while still maintaining the same level of customer service and satisfaction. Our customers have already expressed that Mezé Express is a valued and loved new addition to the Mission Valley community.

Meet the Business Owner

Raymond and Patrick D.

Business Owner

Our operating partners are brothers, Raymond and Patrick Davoudi. Both grew up living next door to, and working in their family’s restaurants in the San Jose area (La Forêt, with their uncle as owner and their father as a chef, as well as its sister restaurant, Le Papillon). A family friend coaxed them down to San Diego to open Mezé in the Gaslamp District in the summer of 2012, and both brothers have fallen in love with the very Mediterranean climate and pace of San Diego. Raymond is primarily responsible for the growth and development, while Patrick is primarily responsible for the operations. Both are invested in making each guest at Mezé feel like friends and family in an environment that combines the elegance of the French restaurants they grew up with, and the family atmosphere they experienced while working in them. Feel free to introduce yourself…
