Excellent service! We were travelling in the area from out of town and our brake light came on. We are regular customers of a Midas shop in Ohio, and this shop was right around the corner from us so we gave it a try. They worked us right in and we couldn’t have been happier with the service and quality of repairs. We left feeling confident and safe to continue on our trip. Thanks Abraham!

I was in a big hurry and in need of having my oil changed. Although I was skeptical that they would be «SpeeDee», I stopped into this Midas location as I needed an oil change and limited time to do it. I found a very friendly staff, a clean and comfortable reception area and they had me in and out in 40 minutes. I had time to have a snack before returning to work. Kudos!

95 dollars for an oil change and filter with standard synthetic. What a rip. Wish Subaru would change to standard oil.

Originally from Chicago, I typically used Midas for my oil changes. After a fender bender, I needed to get my license plate screwed back on and an oil change in San Diego. Not only did they put my license plate back on for free, they also checked the pressure of my tires AND were very kind to a homeless man who wandered in for some water.
I would not go anywhere else in the area to have car maintenance or repairs. The staff was quick and thorough and their kindness did not go unnoticed. I will be recommending this location to all of my friends.

I got a coupon at vons for a $ 19.99 oil change and tire rotation. I went it and it was great. Easy to make an online appointment, the people were friendly, they took my coupon no problem and were very straight forward. They suggested that I get new tires but there was no pressure. THAT BEING SAID, they severely over filled my oil tank. That is a BIG problem especially in my VW Jetta. I shouldn’t have to check but I’m glad I did. I It was a hassle and I will not be going back. Knowing the amount of oil to add is very simple and should be expected to be correct.

Wonderful service quick and fast. I came in for an oil change and tire rotation. However due to the lack of not having the right parts, I can still come in later and get the rotation done for free.
Honest people and decent prices. Will be back!

Fast service, found an online coupon for $ 19.99 oil change and it was actually less than $ 21 with the final total, they didn’t add on disposal fees and such. Great location and honest staff.

Make an appointment. You won’t have to wait as long as the walk-​ins. Always great service and always friendly.

I had to write something about those guys!
I went there today to get a car I intended to buy inspected. While we were waiting, me and the «seller» were discussing some paperwork stuff at the waiting room and during the conversation both me and the guy behind the desk had a weird feeling about the guy. He was totally trying to take advantage of me. When the «seller» left the room, the employee immediately called the manager, Scott, who came talk to me and oriented me to not accept the deal, as it seemed like the guy was just a dealer flipping a weird car on me. Because the «seller» was trying to charge me sales taxes on a apparently private owned vehicle, Scott explained to me why he could only do that if he was a dealer, or a company, and how I should proceed and check the title, the contract, the registration, etc. he was just so genuinely honest and willing to help me.
When the «seller» came back, I asked him if he was a dealer, of if he had a business license to justify the sales taxes he was trying to charge me, and he just ran away! Out of the room like he got totally busted!
Scott offered to take me home (I had my car so it wasn’t necessary) and obviously didn’t charge me for the not completed inspection since the scammer was long gone.
I swear this all looked like one of those hidden camera situations, so surreal it was.
I feel so lucky those two men were there to help me and from now on, I am bringing my car there, because if they were honest and helpful with me without receiving or expecting anything in return, I am sure they will take good care of me and my car.

Absolutely great service from start to finish. Barely limped in with a flat tire thanks to a screw. Scott, the owner, greeted us as soon as we walked in. Walked out to look at the car and got it right in. Let us know the different options depending on worst case/​best case scenario. Being from Illinois and only lived here a few years this is the first business I dealt with that felt like home, Scott was upfront honest! As soon as I knew about the screw I thought for sure I’d be screwed at whatever tire place I picked. So glad I picked this one! Thanks Scott, will be back to you for any other needs in the future! Highly recommended!!!

For the easy stuff (oil change, shocks, tires) think these guys are very good. Not to sure about the big jobs.

Unreliable. Over the phone they said they could do work straight away, but when I drove there 15 minutes later they said a mechanic had not turned up so the wait was now over 4 hours! I walked out and will not return.

Came for a oil change. I was greeted immediately by a employee then started goin over the options and packages they provide. Awsome service!!! Fast and clean job!!! Will be coming ban again thanks guys!!! By far the best team if guys I met

I’ve previously been to this location and have had good experiences. In fact, I’ve posted an excellent review on them before. However, today I felt ripped off and had to share. They wanted to charge me $ 150 for changing a headlight. They said it was not a simple job. I went to another business (Evans Tires, love them!) and they had it done within minutes of me buying the part. No extra fees charged. Not sure what midas was trying to pull but I will not be going back anytime soon.

They would not service my car (oil change) because my driver-​side window and exterior door handle did not function. Claimed it was a «fire hazard» and they could not service it. Went across the street to Synfast Oil Change and they serviced my car no problem.
It may not be the fault of this particular Midas location, but the policy created a poor experience for me.

Finally and auto repair shop I can trust! Point Loma Midas really took care of me. I can’t say enough good things about this particular location. The mechanics & staff here are patient, knowledgable and incredibly fast. I was really impressed by the incredible service. This is the only place I will be taking my car from here on out.

Lovelle really took care of me and my IS250 when I needed my oil changed. He is all about making the customer happy and will go out of his way to do so. He even listened to a couple special requests that I had.
I was worried that they wouldn’t be able to get my car on the racks being that it’s so low. But they have ramps to get low cars like Corvettes onto the oil change platform.
I will definitely come back and do business with Lovelle again in the future. I found a shop that I can trust to take care of me and my car.

It’s really difficult to find a good mechanic now days, especially being a woman. These guys got me in right away, on Saturday! I needed brakes and an oil change. Great price. Fast service. Lavelle and Ryan took the time to make sure I understand everything that needed to be done. They were able to save the disks. Any other shop would have just made me get the new ones. Oil change is only 20 bucks with a multi-​point service and a free tire rotation. Lifetime warranty on the break pads!!! what?
I’m a customer for life!
