Mommy and Me 3D 4D Ultrasound

Great place the technician try her best to get my baby to move to see her face because she was facing my spine and we got some great pictures will definitely come back if I were to expect again!

Mommy and me turned out to be the best place in SD to get an ultrasound. After a bad experience, the owner Rod reached out to me, personally apologized and offered me a deal I couldn’t turn down. I believe most people/​businesses deserve a second chance. After having several conversations with the owner, I found out they were right in the middle of changing ownership, subsequently the reason for my previous experience. I told him how I felt and how he could’ve handled it better, and he was empathetic. I went in for my Ultrasound and my baby was not really visible. They rescheduled me for a second try, which I thought was real generous. The second try we could only see half of her face, it was better but the tech knew I wasn’t really satisfied. So she offered one last appointment. The last try was the best photos we received, baby came out of her hiding place for about 10 min. The techs were really nice, friendly, and professional. I never felt like I was being rushed. I am so glad I gave them a 2^nd chance because they were awesome! My family loved the theater like seating to watch the baby. I received a cute little animal that plays my daughter’s heartbeat. Dvd’s and more. I am really pleased with the customer service I received. The 2 techs Kayla and Rachel were very knowledgeable and genuinely wanted me to get great pics. I will definitely recommend Mommy and Me to everyone. They really turned my frown upside down. ;)

Firstly, don’t come in with such high expectations that you will feel let down or cheated out of your session. Just relax. Drink some juice or eat something sweet. Each baby is unpredictable and will do what they want to do during the ultrasound! I chose the Standard Peek package. Location is easy to find, good area, organized office and ultrasound room. Loved that the room was small-​felt more intimate. My baby covered herself with arms and legs from the beginning, but I had a feeling she would because she’s always been camera shy early on in pregnancy. Lol. The tech worked with her (I appreciated that) the last 5min. of the session, baby finally moved/​got some adorable shots. I fell in love and nothing else mattered at that moment. Loved the cd of pics we got and video dvd of the 20 minute session, etc. We paid then tipped her and we were on our way! Painless process and I plan to come back around 30 something weeks!

We are highly disappointed in the a) the service and b) the unprofessional and unexceptional «follow up» we received after calling the clinic at least 15 times and leaving a previous review!
We’ve been to 4D Ultrasounds a couple of times already and know what we can expect for the cash we are paying. For the last appointment we had at Mommy & Me the tech was not just rushing, but also incapable of using the machine correctly! She couldn’t get the printer to work so she left us with only one print out, that was basically garbage! When raising our concerns that we were not satisfied with the service she told us to contact the manager, so we did.
We left a couple of voice mails as well as a review on here. We finally got a call back from the manager apologizing and promising to stand to their «money back guarantee», in return the manager asked for a nice review on Unilocal.Trusting his words that we would receive a check in the mail soon, we left a good review on Unilocal.
It has been over 5 weeks since that happened and another 8 follow up calls with no check in the mail nor any response from Mommy & Me! This is absolutely inacceptable, highly unprofessional and simply rude! Not just has Mommy & Me not provided the service for the money paid, but also had no shame to lie to us over the phone!
I can only give you the advice to find another clinic to do your 4D ultrasound if you are looking to get the service you are paying for!

Scheduled an appointment for today at noon earlier this week & had my family take time off work to be able to come join us for a 4D ultrasound. The woman on the phone instructed me to drink 32 ounce of water beforehand so they could get a clear picture. We show up and the place is closed. I called the business and turns out they’re repainting so they were going to be closed today but for fun I guess I was scheduled.
One star for wasting my time & ruining my day.

We went to this place because of the great reviews we read on Unilocal and other sites, and because it was affordable.
Our first visit our baby wasn’t positioned well. The tech tried very hard to get a good look at his face. She had me move in different positions and she had me bounce on this ball. She had me try other things as well. She got two pics of him covering half his face. I was disappointed because we wanted a video and to see his whole face to show family. The tech was very apologetic and consoling. It wasn’t her fault at all. She rescheduled us for a another visit for free. We were very busy and couldn’t come in until two weeks later.
By then my baby was too big with not enough amino fluid to get a clear shot of his face because he was already facing down. We had just found out a week prior that at 32 weeks he was a big baby weighing already over 5lbs so it made sense. The tech felt soo bad we thought she was gonna cry. She was sincerely sorry. We asked if we could get our money back and she past the message on to the owner. The owner personally called himself and apologized and offered us a full refund. Which we did receive. This place is one of the few places that will give you your money back. Everyone there was very sincere and nice. Great customer service as well!
My only advice would be to not make an appt on a weekend on a hot humid day in the summer. Unfortunately, the building air conditioner isn’t on during the weekends only weekdays. The business is ran out of a suite so it’s not their fault at all.

The whole family LOVED our experience here. The office is welcoming, the seating generous and comfortable, and the sonographer patient and thorough. When the baby was stubborn the first visit, we got to come back two days later and this time around find out the gender.

I’ve been holding off on writing this review within the last month, but after trying to contact the clinic 8 times and not getting an answer, or a call back has been the last straw for me. It’s frustrating when you pay money for a service, and do not receive the best service possible. I came to do a gender review at 17 weeks. Although our technician was able to determine the sex of our baby, I was still not satisfy. Why? I don’t know where to begin!
The technician, Rachael, on duty was hardly profession, nor was she knowledgeable to the equipment. We paid a good amount of cash just as any other customer would, and did not receive the full experience service offered. She couldn’t get the screen to load, so we had to all view from her computer, which if you ask me, was quite hard trying to turn my head to the right and trying to keep still for her to do the ultrasound. Secondly, we paid extra for a recording of our child’s heartbeat, which she barely recorded. It was literally a 3 second recording. Why am I paying $ 20 for her to record my child’s heartbeat for 3 seconds when I can go to my doctor’s office and do a better recording myself. Lastly, once she was done taking photos, we went out to pay, and she couldn’t even get the credit card system to work properly. She charged our card three times, then asked us to pay cash because she didn’t know how to work the machine.
To me, the entire visit was an inconvenience and a waste of money. Next time I’ll pay more money to visit a more nicer clinic. Also, not to mention, but she did not take very great ultrasound photos of my child and lastly, no one answers the clinic telephone regardless of how many times you call, or how early you call.

They did a great job making us feel comfortable. They were extremely welcoming & we didn’t feel rushed. Next time we’re bringing the whole family since they have an awesome showing room with plenty of seating. We got a great shot of the boy & a nice video for the archive.

We just went there on Saturday for a gender peak because we couldn’t wait since our Dr told us we would have to find out at my 20^th week. I’m currently at 17 weeks. The experience was so great and the tech was very nice. I wish I could remember her name, but I was so excited to find out the gender it slipped my mind, but I already booked my next appointment which will be 4D in October

Really long story short I think your experiences at places like this depend on two things.
#1 how willing your unborn child is to cooperate/​be positioned in a good way/​not blocking their face, etc
#2 how caring/​motivated the ultrasound tech is to work with your belly
I ended up going here twice, the first time my child was hiding, and the lady didn’t really care (she seemed super tired/​not awake) & pushed super, SUPER hard on my stomach. We couldn’t see the babies face so I rescheduled (I’m stoked that I was able to come in a 2^nd time… I would have been SO PISSED, if I paid all that money for nothing).
The next day, I came in again and the tech had a much more positive disposition. Fortunately my child was willing to cooperate and I got some better pictures on this try.
Overall, it was great to get a sneak peak of my baby but I wasn’t impressed with the quality of service that I was given, nor the value… I felt ripped off when I inquired about package items listed online and then was shot down by the girl doing the ultrasound.

I highly recommend this business.
We just went here this past weekend to do a gender reveal ultrasound.
The office is clean and nice. The viewing area is cozy with a large seating area. We had my parents, our daughter and two friends with us and they were very comfortable.
Our appointment was at 10 am. We were there a few minutes early and had to wait about 15 minutes for anyone to show up, which at first was discouraging, but the staff had been caught in a local marathon’s traffic situation. They generously upgraded our package and were very apologetic. The technician was warm and friendly and the whole experience was really wonderful.

I would highly recommend going to mommy and me! This was my first experience doing a 4D ultrasound. The space for viewing for family seating is HUGE and the screen size to see your baby is an Amazing experience! The package we bought we received the same day and was fast service. We got to choose a heart bear for our baby’s beating heart and they had the animal we wanted to choose! We had so much fun and you will too!

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Mommy & Me! The place was clean and adorable. The viewing room looked like a home theater with comfortable couches and a large projector screen. The sonographer was very professional and knowledgeable. She was very kind too. I came at 28wks gestation and all of my baby’s images were very clear and detailed. I highly recommend this place and will surely return for my future pregnancies. And may I add that they had a 30% discount on all packages for this month of April? Score!

So I had a wonderful experience here. I brought my family and it was a special moment to find out all together. The technician had a problem finding the sex. At the last minute she found it. We all left happy.
The place was clean and everything looked nice. The only thing is I went on a Sunday and the air conditioning apparently doesn’t work on Sunday’s.

I’m so glad we chose Mommy & Me 4D Ultrasound! It far exceeded our expectations. The whole experience from the moment you walk through the door to leaving with the precious heartbeat stuffed animal and pictures was top notch. We went on Sunday which is evidently isn’t as busy as other days and the experience was relaxing. We went back a second time since they had unfortunately been out of stock of the stuffed animals during our first visit. They were just as accommodating the second time to capture the heartbeat which I can’t stop listening to!
I recorded it on my phone and was able to send the clip to grandparents out of state too, very neat to be able to share that! The technician is phenomenal :)

I’m so glad I chose Mommy & Me for my 4D ultrasound. This was my first 4D ultrasound & I must admit, it was beyond more than I expected. My baby’s 4D came out PERFECTLY visible for us to see his face /​features! I was actually planning on going to another ultrasound place in Mira Mesa but my cousin recommended that this place would’ve been the best choice since she came & to do her 4D.
They provided a great package, customer service & most of all, everything was nice & cleaned, comfortable, my front desk /​ultrasound tech Cassandra was such a nice /​friendly staff! I called her a day before my appointment hoping to do something cute for my aunt during the ultrasound & writing a little message during the ultrasound for my aunt to see & Cassandra made it work with no problem /​hesitation! My aunt loved the surprise I did & it wouldn’t of been able to happen if it wasn’t for Cassandra’s great effort!
I would definitely love to return /​would recommend everyone to come here. I’ve looked through lots of ultrasound Unilocal photo’s & I haven’t seen anything more clearer than Mommy & Me’s 4D photos. I promise you won’t get just a glob of your baby, you’ll get his/​her entire features!

At 30 weeks pregnant, I had my first ever 4D ultrasound this last Sunday evening with ultrasound technician, Mark. I did some research on the 4D ultrasound facilities in San Diego because this procedure is all new to me. Mommy and Me was the only facility that offered a money back guarantee. Their website had all the information I needed to make an informed decision. They were also running specials and had the best prices. I chose the «sneak peak» and I feel I got way more pictures and time watching my son on a live feed than what was advertised. Imagine that! Mark was friendly, professional and great at capturing the best pictures of my son. During the ultrasound he was able to capture pictures of my boy yawning, smiling, and he even opened his eyes. It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. I was crying tears of happy. We paid for 15 minutes of room time but honestly we were there for 30 to 45 minutes. I have a ton of good quality clear pictures to print from the disc I got. The facility was very clean and lots of room for family and friends to watch baby on a big screen on comfy couches.
I left Mommy and Me with a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. My 20 week ultrasound at the Dr. office left me feeling uneasy. The black and white photos were very hard to see and looked like something was wrong. But after Mark was able to capture clear photos of my son, I now know he is perfect. I no longer feel so worried. Thank you so much Mark & Mommy and Me! I will always refer you to any mommy’s to be!

12 weeks into my pregnancy and my physician was performing an ultrasound on one of my visits. We asked her if she was able to determine the sex of our baby. Unfortunately she claimed that it was still too early. Bummer but at least during our visit she said that everything looked fine. Baby is healthy and that’s what is important.
Fast forward two hours and we arrived early to Mommy and Me 3D 4D Ultrasound. Honestly since my physician wasn’t able to determine the sex I had little doubt that a boutique place such as Mommy and Me would be able to give us any additional insight.
Parking is a pain as there are lots of other offices located in this building and surrounding buildings. The offices are older and if you are still experiencing nausea wear a mask. There is a musty smell in the air.
Mommy and Me is located on the second floor. Once in the suite it’s hard not to be excited. The waiting room is small but you won’t be sitting. There are stuffed animals to purchase and place a recording of your baby’s heart beat in. These make great gifts for grandparents or to help soothe the baby once out of the womb.
Once in the ultrasound area I laid back on the table while my family sat in the family viewing area within the same room. For family members that are out of state Skyping or Google Chat is allowed so that they can be a part of the experiance as well.
It was set up like a mini movie theater. Three rows of seating and a HUGE screen to project the images and surround sound to hear the baby’s heartbeat, I was impressed.
I was told that since I was so early that the 2D pictures were recommended. At 4D the baby is still transparent. No biggie, we were there to see if we were having a boy or girl.
My little one was being stubborn and crossed the legs with the umbilical cord covering him/​herself. After 20 minutes we were able to determine the sex!
If for some reason the sex of the baby cannot be determined you keep going back every week at no additional cost. It’s really a win, win.
The sonogram tech was very pleasant and patient. I didn’t get the whole package since the baby is still very early along. I plan on going back at 28 weeks to get better 4D images and the stuffed animals. I will have to pay again but it’s only $ 42.00.
Insurance does not cover the cost since it is a boutique place but the sonogram techs are all certified and professional. I highly encourage all parents to check out Mommy and Me.

Be sure to check your souvenir CD of the Ultrasound to ensure that it works. My husband and I found out ours did not work while out of town with family over the Thanksgiving holiday. I am currently working with Trang from the Mommy and Me office to resolve the issue. Apparently this has happened to others. Very disappointing that we missed the opportunity to share the gender reveal with our family on the East Coast.
