I’m new in the area so I try this place to do my laundry and I have the worst experience ever, the more expensive place and the machines doesn’t do a job what I was expecting and I agree with other bad reviews about this place

What a changed place, i went about 6months ago, man it was BAD… i have now been bringing all my orders to them.. i want to thank the new onwers for turning this place around… i always see people in here, and i forgot to mention the FluffnFold part… it has the best prices during the middle of the week… its like $.75 perpound… just an over all great place…

I’ve been coming to this laundry mat for over a year. It’s close to my place, I always come at a peaceful time (close to closing time) and it’s always clean and the customers I’ve interacted with are pretty chill. The Hispanic lady with glasses is always very nice and we always chit chat about something… I agree with some of the other comments about it being pricey ($ 2.50 a load for the smaller washers) but this place is convenient and never too crowded so it’s worth the price…

This place is way over priced compared to all the other laundrymats in PB. They actually charge you more if you use hot water, and the dryers only give you 5min per quarter, total rip off. My advice is avoid the greed, and go a few blocks more up garnet and there is a great spot across from trader joes.

The woman who runs this place is the rudest. If you go there you will see it is always empty. Then you will meet her and understand why it’s always dead. The machines are also pretty pricey. It cost me $ 5 to wash 2 loads of laundry.

Helen was very friendly and a caring person :) She was very enthusiastic about her customers and our interests. The pricing was average in regards to laundromat pricing. Good service though

This laundromat is not only more expensive than others I have been to, but the machines didn’t do a good job. I used 4 of the smaller ones ($ 2.50 each), and I had to rerun some of them. My sheets washed well (thankfully) but my actual clothes were damp, not washed. Kinda sucked, and I had to hand wash a few things.
It was a little stressful doing my laundry here, especially since I had to check everything before drying it. At this place, it’s 5 minutes per quarter and I set two separate loads and it took about 20 minutes each to dry.
Probably won’t come back here even though it is very close to where I live. The lady who was working there was very very nice, though. I appreciated her company, but I wish the machines were better.

This place is more expensive than PB coin laundry. The facility is smaller and they don’t have very many carts for your clothes.

Was from out of town visiting and wanted to do laundry before returning home. This place had good reviews so I thought I’d use the drop off service. The lady in the morning asked for tips before the service was even done. Clothes came back and still had stains on them which I had to re wash. Complete waste of money.

There are employees that when can not old the hot of a sunny day and the stress of a slow monday, are better stay at home relaxing. Than stay at work stressing also the costumer, especially if the lady she is over 65 with a strong east europe accent that became blind on front of a trouble of a costumer. i would like to remember to thia lady that the education as to be from both the side and that yelling is not gonna take her nowhere. I been using this laundry coin from years, but from today i’m gonna move the other laundry coin that is close to the other 7−11on balboa. Sure there nobody are gonna yell to you and nobody is blame on you as is happen to me​.PS. and the price here are really over all the other laundry 7 $for a washer machine.

First time using coin laundry. Prices ranged from $ 5 for the biggest washers to $ 2.50 for the smallest washer. Dryers cost 25 cents per load, but it took about 3 consecutive dries before my clothes were finally dry.
Could definitely use a different color scheme, but maybe some people consider the random colors part of the charm. I don’t know. Sign outside said there was free wifi, but there wasn’t at the time I went in.
All in all, a fairly decent experience. Didn’t run into Dr. Horrible or Captain Hammer, so that was a bummer, but the place got the job done in about 40 minutes without any further ado. I’d recommend them.

Showed up at 9 and the sign says the last wash is at 9 but I was told I’m not allowed to wash my clothes. This place is right around the corner from my house but I’m going to make it a point to go elsewhere from now on.

I live in PB and have no laundry connect to my apartment complex. I just started taking my laundry here for laundry service about a month ago. You can’t beat the price, 95 cents per pound. Towels and sheets will run you a little more. Helen, the lady who does the fluff and fold, has very little turn around time. I dropped off my clothes at 11am of Saturday and got them back at 2pm the same day, with no extra charge. She is pretty direct about tips which annoyed me a tad. But if you tip her and keep going back, she goes out of her way to do a better job and get your clothes done quicker. I recommend Ms Bubbles for Fluff & Fold in Pacific Beach.

I come here every couple weeks for laundry.
Helen is always the attendent I see while there, and I just found out she’s not actually the owner (which id always assumed she was seeing as she takes so much pride in the place). Its always clean, and Helen is always sure to be very friendly! Ill definitely keep going back.

Anyway, I dropped my clothes off and thought nothing of it. Two hours later I get a phone call from the owner letting me know that her employee misquoted me and that it was going to cost her more to get the job done than what they quoted me at the drop off time. Additionally, she mentioned that her gas was expensive so she wasn’t going to make profit.
A. It’s not my problem that they quoted me incorrectly.
B. I don’t want to do business with a place that can’t properly train its employees on prices.
C. Its simple/​basic customer service to own up to your mistakes and cut your losses.
D. Worst first impression EVER.
E. Now I have to drive back to pick up clothing that won’t be clean and drop it off at a different dry cleaner. My clothes will definitely not be ready by the time I need them.
Just horrible business. If the business owner had just let me know they had made a mistake and that next time I would pay a bit more that would have been fine. However, the fact that they completely didn’t own up or follow through with services that were promised is just unacceptable.

This is the first time I’ve needed to use a coin laundry service due to the fact that my new house doesn’t have a washer and dryer. Decided to go here because it’s really close to my place and I was pleasantly surprised. The place is clean and colorful with inexpensive prices. I have gone a few times now and it takes about 20 minutes to wash and 20 to dry. I usually bring a book or drop off my clothes and come back since I live so close. Overall a great choice for laundry. The lady that runs the place is very sweet and always strikes up a conversation as well!

I have been coming here off and on for nearly 2 years. I have never used the fluff and fold service, but many are happy with the service when they pick it up.
I bought two IKEA extra large dark blue plastic bags to bring my laundry in usually once a week. Helen is typically the attendant in the mornings (7 am — 2:30 pm) and Darcy is in the evenings (5:30−10 pm). There is a 3 hour window where no one is there for the fluff and fold service. They are open 7 days a week except major holidays.
7-​Eleven is 2 doors down if you need laundry supplies or change. A dry cleaners is next door, and a nail salon and Dave’s Tavern bar. I have been to every business. The nail salon is great if you want to get your nails done while waiting for your laundry. Dave’s Tavern has trail mix some soda for a dollar each if you’d like to have a snack while waiting for your laundry to be done.
the typical amount of time you will spend is about an hour and a half… at least I do. good machines clean facility and free WiFi. if you need to grab a full meal while you are waiting there is an MXN restaurant next to the 7-​Eleven and they also have a public restroom.

THE SHORT VERSION:
Wow. I obviously had a different experience than others. I came in and paid a little over $ 20 for fluff and fold service on a down comforter. I was heading out of town and needed this thing cleaned STAT (it may have been involved in a toddler pee accident). Helen called and said it was done, I picked it up and found it was wet, which (only after I returned it) she explained was because it was taking a really long time to dry, and she suggested I lay it out to dry at home. WHAT?! I had her put it in the dryer for an extra 12 minutes (with her protesting how much money it was costing), but was on a schedule and had to leave out of town with a damp, smelly comforter in the back. Complete waste of time and definitely money.
MORE DETAILED VERSION:
Helen called to tell me that it was done, so 30 minutes later I had loaded all our stuff, both toddlers, snacks, drinks, toys –the whole circus– into the car planning on picking it up and getting out of town before traffic got bad. I popped in to get it, and it’s packed in a plastic bag for me to carry out. Helen assures me that she «did a good job,» and I’m «going to like it,» but I «should let it air out a little» when I get home. Okay… Maybe that’s normal? I got it out to the car and thought it felt too heavy so I open the bag and it’s WET inside. Not damp. Wet with drops of water on the inside of the bag, which, having been sitting there for a while now, smells like a big wet dog.
I haul the heavy, wet comforter and both kids back in and mention that it’s still wet. Helen says, «I put it in the dryer for an hour but it was still wet. I didn’t want to melt it, you know?» I was trying not to be accusatory, but mentioned that a down comforter takes a lot longer than an hour to dry, and said that I couldn’t take it like that in the car. So she begrudgingly put it in for 8 MORE MINUTES as if that was going to do the trick. Spoiler alert: it didn’t do the trick. Neither did the «extra» 4 mins she added after that.
Maybe I wouldn’t have gotten so bent out of shape if I hadn’t had the kids with me trying to climb into patrons’ laundry carts and crying when I didn’t let them. Just that made it two stars for bringing me in when the job wasn’t done. But I can’t give anything higher than one star after she acted put-​out and said, «My boss won’t be happy. I already put $ 10 into washing and drying it– that’s already half of what you paid!» That’s unfortunate for your boss, I guess, but I’m not the one who set the prices. If it costs more than that to wash it and dry it, then you should charge more. But you didn’t. I paid for a service, it wasn’t completed, Helen would have let me walk out with a wet comforter if I hadn’t checked the bag, and she tried to make me feel bad for wanting the job done right. No, no, no.
SEVEN HOURS LATER: I’m at my destination, I’ve laid the comforter out in the guest room and it still stinks like a wet dog. Such a poor experience.
FINAL UPDATE: It took well over 24 hours (!!!) for the comforter to air dry. I tried fitting it in a normal dryer at a family member’s house, but it was still wet and way too heavy for a residential grade clothes dryer. Such a huge waste of $ 20. I could have gotten it wet and stuck it in a bag for free):-/

I’ve been using the fluff and fold service for a while now… Simply amazing!
I wanted to give 5 stars before I even picked my clothes up the first trip, but I held out until I used the service for a bit. The lady was so polite and convincing and I was stoked to not be doing laundry. Went for a long surf and my clothes were done!
