Buffalo fries here are the best. I always place an order for pick up and my order is is always ready. The staff is super nice also.

They have new name now«Buffalo wing star“I used to come here for their buffalo chipotle fries and mi friends love their wings but now they have better service, better food, more sauces, more options they even added a new healthy items to their menu and the best part its not that expensive compared to most wings places around, definitely love this place and my family as well

A solid 4.5 stars! It was very quick, good service, inexpensive and great tasting food. We will definitely be coming back to try their buffalo fries and ribs. We had traditional wings. My only complaint was that the mango habanero wasn’t hot enough for my preference but other than that the wings were cooked perfectly and has a lot of meat on them. Fries were crispy and delicious as well.

This place is nice on the inside and the cashier was very friendly but the wings were definitely over cooked, the onion rings were mostly batter and it’s a little pricey. If I wanted wings again I’d probably try another spot first before coming back here.

Actually this restaurant is called Buffalo Wing Star now my husband wanted me to try this spot since him and his coworkers work nearby. They come here every once in awhile for their buffalo fries. Located in a strip mall right next to Kearny High School and Mesa College this is actually the prime spot for all the students to come and hang out right after school. We were here on a Wednesday afternoon and Buffalo Wing Star had a buffalo fries deal for 6.99 and let me tell you that it was so crazy busy the line was out the door. Luckily we ordered just before the rush. I also ordered a 5 buffalo wings combo which come with carrots, celery and a choice of fries or breadsticks. I wanted to try their breadsticks here because I am a huge fan of breadsticks at another wing chain restaurant. They had several sauce flavors to choose from in addition to the buffalo spices. In addition they also had other items on the menu to choose from including ribs. The buffalo fries my husband and I definitely could have just shared. Portions are huge. The wings were fine crispy and moist and tasted like buffalo wings. The breadsticks are topped with Parmesan cheese and were soft so depending on your preference on how you like you breadsticks I think that buffalo Wing Stars’ was pretty good. I wouldn’t mind coming back again because I thought the food was pretty delicious or maybe I might have just been so hungry at the time but I’ll only come here if I’m in the area.

This place is awesome and all their food is very good, way better than wing stop or wings n things. This place is close to my house and I go there 2 – 3 times a month never having been disappointed. The regular wings are huge, the boneless wings and tenders are lightly battered and extremely fresh. I also highly reccomend their salads with grilled chicken or the grilled chicken sandwich for the health conscious. They pile the grilled chicken up high on the sandwich. My absolute favorite is the crispy chicken rolls which are like huge chicken taquitos but the shell is soft, flakey and much more delicious than the usual taquito shell. Put some Chipotle on there and it’s as good as it gets. I read some of the reviews knocking this place for being slow, dirty or just having bad customer service and in my opinion this place is really great. Sure it might take a bit when it’s busy because they make everything fresh but the customer service has always been outstanding. I’ve been offered free drinks and breadsticks twice when my order was taking a while but it was definitely worth it. It’s not dirty either by any means but unfortunately this place and all others in this strip mall are subject to being right across from a high school and college. Large numbers of teens and young adults hang out here and trash the place in the afternoon so if you go in the evening, you may still see some remnants of their destruction. I’m not going to hold that against the business.

Customer service is horrible, and their company policy is not correct. They would not give him his money back because the person who took the order wrote it wrong. So my husband ordered over the phone for pick up and the lady who took his order misheard him and got the order wrong. So when he got home, he noticed the order was wrong and went back. Because the lady didn’t hear him correctly on what he ordered, they blamed my husband for ordering wrong and would not give him a refund on only the mistake that was made due to customer policy. Customer service … Horrible.

Dear new York wings and ribs would it have killed u to use a Lil seasoning salt hell a Lil table salt n black pepper would have made these strips the bomb they were juicy and tender but the juices tasted like nothing because there was no seasonings so I had to drown them in sauce which doesn’t help a whole lot but it will irritate my stomach like crazy so thank u for that.

Looks like they changed their name to «Buffalo Wing Star.» The wings were delicious and the buffalo fries were to die for. Decent price, great food.

Had an order of mild wings with blue cheese dressing. I usually get medium when I get buffalo wings but I opted for mild. I hadn’t tried their wings yet so this was a first. For the most part taste was more like regular fried wings with a light spread of greasy sauce. No kick to mild as I’d like. If I had some Franks hot sauce I prob woulda enjoyed them more. I’m sure the hotter up you go is worth it so next time I plan to order atleast a medium or higher. wings to go came in styrofoam no wax paper or paper sheet to soak up the coating so u can dip your wing around the box for sauce if you want more. I would of added more stars if they added celery/carrot sticks as a side but you just get the wings. The dressing g comes on the side as well. I will definitely return but ay be not order things plain, and maybe order some ribs or other items on theenu. Stay tuned and hopefully you can be the judge and enjoy !!

Been here a few times. The wings are decent. The carrots and celery always seems less than fresh. One of my biggest pet peeves is the additional .35 charge when using a credit card. I understand businesses incur extra fees, just adjust for it in your menu pricing.

Came here for lunch with my son and we tried the chipotle medium fries. It was pretty darn good however next time we will order a little more spicy. I haven’t tried their ribs but we will be back to try more.

I guess I was expecting too much |: Food: I got the chipotle honey bbq fries and it was way too sweet. I even had a side of hot buffalo sauce but the sweetness is way too much. Maybe if I ordered regular chipotle buffalo fries it would have been better. The lemon pepper wings were good, nothing special though. Avoid the breadsticks they were way too doughy and soft. Service: the workers are super friendly and patient when it comes to the customers taking their time looking at the menu to order. I would give this place an overall 3&½. I have heard that the location in El Cajon is a lot better so maybe I’ll check that out sometime!

The Buffalo Chipotle fries are awesome! A must get the boneless wings were the biggest I’ve ever had and they put chain restaurant boneless wings to shame. The service was okay the guy was new and not really forthcoming with recommendations but was only his 2nd day so no lost stars for that.

I really like this place. Their ribs are prepared just right. Sometimes I’m disappointed with the price you pay for ribs and there’s hardly any meat but not at this place. Yum yum yummy. I am a huge fan of the chipotle fries. Who knew French fries and boneless wings all mixed up would taste so good.

Ok so they are chicken wings. I do love me some chicken wings. I got the 5 piece spicey hot wings. They were good… the fries were ok. The ranch was ok. Nothing too spectacular. The breadsticks were good kinda of tasted like Pat and Oscars breaksticks nice and gooey and garlicy. The downside to this location is that when I have my break at school is also when the highschool across the street is getting out so it’s full of a bunch of kids. Alas what can you do. :/ 3.5 stars.

Buffalo Chipotle Fries… that’s all I need to say! WOW! It’s like the long lost brother to Carne Asada Fries! I love this place. Not a big fan of the ribs, but the wings are fantastic. The price is just right. Out of all the locations I have been to, the Linda Vista location was the cleanest. Overall great experience. On the top 10 list for sure.

This place is ok but definitely not better than wing stop. Quality is poor if you know your wings and sauces. My kids love the chipotle fries but I’m not so much a fan. Although I must say this location is better than the one on federal. The wing and rib on federal always has long lines, the wait is ridiculous and every time I have left I’ve gotten home and my order is messed up come on now once I understand but every time I have a problem. I try to pass this place but I let my babies get what they like sometimes and like I said they love there fries. Every time I come I hope it will taste how I imagine it should and it never mets my standards.

3.5 stars My wife was craving some Wings N Things. I decided to mix it up a bit and come here instead.(My wife did not like them at all… mind games, I think. She was expecting one thing and here comes another… anyways.) I had seen this place next door to the taco shop we frequent while at the hospital with our son. I decided to stop in and grab us some lunch. The cashier guy was extremely friendly and waited patiently while I looked over the menu. I decided to place an order for a combo meal of 5 medium strips which came with breadsticks or fries, carrots/celery, your choice of ranch or blue cheese and a drink. I also ordered just 5 plain strips with hot sauce. Total came out to a little over $ 16.00. Waited about 5 minutes and my food was ready. Here is how it tasted… Chicken Strips– They provide you with 5 strips per order. They are big pieces of chicken too! Longer and more plump than Wings N Things. Wings N Things only gives you 4 strips in their orders. The sauce on both the medium and hot was really good. typical buffalo sauce. The hot made me sweat a tad. My wife didn’t like them at all though and I ate most of her strips too. I would later go to Wings N Things and get her some food.(She is picky and like I said earlier, I think it was mind games… she was expecting one thing and I showed up with another. If you put these side by side, I would actually take NY strips over Wings N Things because of more meat and more strips for the money. True, the sauce might not be exact and possibly a tad weaker, but it isn’t a night and day difference and it is still delicious.) Bread– The bread was just meh. She took one bite of it and didn’t eat any more. I even tried a little bite and it was kind of dry and seemed almost stale. Wings N Things has them beat for sure on bread. Celery/Carrots/Ranch/Blue Cheese– The typical stuff. Nothing better or worse than anywhere else. Overall I was pretty impressed. I never really crave buffalo wings/strips but I never turn them down either. Service was friendly, the chicken was really good and the portion size was excellent. If I’m ever wanting buffalo wings/strips in the future and am in the area, I would not hesitate to come back.

The cashier was nice. She greeted us and I’ve never had any workers at NY w&r ever say anything to me. We ordered the usual chipotle buffalo fries and they were just as good as i remembered and expected. Piping hot and oh so satisfying. If your tired of carne asada fries and are craving some wings and fries this is the place. There are also more locations through out sd and they are all great!

The guy at the counter last night was awesome! He really took the time to go through the menu and even suggested how to turn our order into a combo and saved us 20% off the bill by doing the combo the wings were good their teriyaki sauce is a little salty but not to gripe there is a place that actually serves teriyaki wings! fries are good cant complain def a good stop in for wings kinda place, ill have to try their ribs and see how those do There is a .35 cent fee for paying with card just to let you know

I heard so many good things about this restaurant from co-workers so I thought I’d give it a try. There was not one special thing about the wings or the sauce. I selected the original hot but it wasn’t original or hot. One of the wings was also undercooked and very pink. The most memorable part of my dining experience was the gracious cashier who took our order. She was pleasant, patient and very sweet. She took the time to explain some of the menu items. I wish I asked for her name so I could mention it here. Maybe next time I’ll try the ribs, but I won’t be rushing back anytime soon.
