Love Ocean Cleaners and Alterations! Just dropped off another 8 business shirts for laundry, completely friendly service happy to have ready as soon as needed, perfect every time, email follow up for reminder to pick up! Even called me once on a spot they noticed to confirm is wanted clean or check before cleaning, very attentive! Local family business, been going there for the last 5 years, have seen them invest in the business for best technology, environmentally friendly supporting Point Loma business!

One of the most reliable cleaners with high quality wash, press and dry cleaner. I saw all the equipments at the store are new. They dry clean my suite same day service without any extra charge that I could made my interview. Last month when I was abroad they did free delivery my clothes to my home which is 5mile away. They are also environment friendly with using Standard detergent.

The worst service I’ve ever encountered! My father in law always drops off his laundry here so I figured it would be a good place to drop off my WEDDING dress a week before my wedding to get it cleaned and ironed out, it was dropped a week prior to the pick up date I go yesterday to pick it up and the clerk had no idea where my dress even was!!! She looked for about 15 minutes then finally found it I was so relieved my wedding is the next day! To my surprise the dress hadn’t even been cleaned it was sitting in the rack for a WEEK! The lady called the owner who failed to answer she promised me it would be free and be ready my wedding day at 10am 6÷26÷15 today! She then called me and said the owner said he couldn’t have it ready he needed more time because he didn’t know the condition of the dress HELLO! It was sitting on YOUR rack for a freaking week! Then tried to charge me $ 130 for their mistake offering only 20% off seriously? I’m no money muncher but I had to pick the dress up at noon on my wedding day and my wedding was at five. When I got there the owner wasn’t even there the lady handed me my dress non apologetic at all! The owner couldn’t even face me! I’m very disappointed and I will NEVER be coming here again.

Took in light colored blazer with lots of spots on it, they had to wet clean it but it came back super clean and spotless!

I took in several articles of clothing ranging from button up blouses, skirt, and raincoat. All were returned clean and neatly pressed except for the Burberry raincoat. I spoke to someone about it and pointed out how dirty the cuffs around the hands were. He said if I could leave the coat another day he would work on it. (At no extra charge btw) When I returned to pick it up, the cuffs were sparkling clean and the rain jacket looked brand new again! Although it was a fuss to have to pick up the same article twice, I was very pleased with the customer service they offered and the end result was cleaner than I expected!

Very disappointed. I’ve been pleased with their services for the last several years. I have a large white comforter that I take in to Ocean Cleaners every 6 months or so. It usually comes out sparkling white and crisp. I dog sit, but my comforter wasn’t covered in dog hair or anything, just the typical wear and tear. This time, upon pick up I noticed the comforter still looked dull, still had dog hair on it, and had a few noticeable spots. It doesn’t even look like it’s been washed and they charged me $ 42. I showed them the spots and told them it didn’t look washed and they didn’t offer me any alternative solution. Now I have to take it to the cleaners again just so it can actually get washed. Bummer

The customer service is wonderful and they get all our clothes done in a fast and precise manner! I would highly recommend using them for all of your dry cleaning needs!

Ocean Cleaners & Alterations has a Tailor who is more than GENIUS! Saving my favorite leather jacket — somehow torn center front – was just one Miracle he performed. Their dry-​cleaning service is excellent as well –but it is all eclipsed by the work of their Tailor. He is a treasure. I will mention that all who work there are friendly and professional – making this my favorite dry cleaners. I can do nothing less than hit the Magic 5 Star Button!

Excellent dry cleaners! Always friendly and efficient and prices are very reasonable. Patty is the best! She always helps me out if I need a rush too! Super convenient location! You can handle your dry cleaning on the way to or from the grocery store or coffee shop! Give them a try and you will be a very satisfied customer too!

I have been going to this dry cleaners for a few months now since my
other one closed in OB and it is great. The service is very efficient and
they have a computerized system that is used to enter in your items and
retrieve them quickly. Never any mix-​ups! The quality of the cleaning is
very good and there is no dry cleaning smell.
Also Patty at the front counter is wonderful. Always cheerful and very efficient.
Makes it a pleasure to go in!

The place isn’t bad if you have time to waste. The prices aren’t bad, but if you expect «same day» to mean… you know, SAME DAY, good luck — I had multiple items two times (because everyone deserves a second chance, right?) not be completed when I asked… unacceptable.

Leave your laundry if you want it to be stained, and ruined. I’d left some laundry for the washing, fluff, and fold; upon picking up my laundry, I noted that a pair of pants had some peculiar stains on them. It appeared as if the pants had been set on something that transferred the stain into the fabric. The markings were also transferred to an undershirt that was part of my laundry. I’d post some pictures but Unilocal doesn’t have it available for this type of business.
Ruining my clothes wasn’t the worst part of this experience, this «business establishment» refused to accept responsibility for ruining my clothes. It’s clearly evident by the markings that the garments had been set on something that ruined them this wasn’t a simple left something in the pocket that then bled onto the materials. It was very frustrating and quite perplexing that they would not acknowledge their responsibility nor demonstrate any accountability of their actions.
Caveat emptor if you decide to take your laundry to this location or any other place associated with this business

I just discovered this place… the people are really nice and they do a very good job (for cleaning .I didn’t have any alterations to do) and their prices are reasonable. Plus there’s lots of parking and you can get some coffee at Peets right next door. deb porter pt loma

I choose to go to Ocean Cleaners because I’m usually at the Fresh and Easy next door at least once a week. The staff has always been helpful and kind and I have not had any problem with any of the dry cleaning I’ve dropped off there. I have not had any alterations done so far. The price does not matter to me because I essentially save money by not running around town to other cleaners. My only complaint is that they need to dust/​vacuum the place a little more often, though I’m pretty sure it accumulates fast with the fans and blowers going all the time in there. Convenient, decent price, easy parking, no problem.

I love Ocean Cleaners and go there every week. The staff is always courteous, helpful and friendly. Our clothes are always processed quickly and an e-​mail is sent out reminding us to pick up our order. Now they have a special card that accumulates points which will give us rewards. The best thing about Ocean Cleaners is that they are locally owned and they do a lot for our community. I’m proud to support local businesses who work hard to satisfy their customers.

I brought in a down jacket and they did such a beautiful job! The jacket was old and it came back looking brand new!!!
I have been bringing my clothing to this dry cleaners for about 2 years and I’m very satisfied. They may charge a little bit more but they use a natural, non-​toxic cleaner which makes my clothes like new & my clothing does not smell like any type of cleaning fluid! They have always done what I ask and then some. I will continue coming here & referring friends. One of the wonderful things they offer is being open on Sundays! It’s great for people who work all week long & have only they weekends to get things done.

HORRIBLE!
Took two pairs of slacks in to be hemmed on Saturday morning, was told they would be finished by Monday at noon. Went back to pick them up Monday at 4:30 and they were finished but «at the other store», was told they would be in no later than Tuesday morning; I asked them to call me when they were in and was told «absolutely». Never got a call. Wednesday afternoon I went in to pick them up, one pair was never hemmed, the other looks like a 10 year old in home ec. did the job. I was blatantly upset but was never apologized to; they even had the nerve to STILL charge me FULL price, which was WAY too much in the first place! I am extremely disappointed with this service.
I will not be going back.

Mixed Reviews! This place charges $ 5 per item to dry-​clean which is TOO much in my opinion, so I can’t review that service.
I had several things altered here. Two identical pairs of shorts (one denimn, one black) were bermuda length-​I asked to have them made into regular length shorts, with the little notch on the sides. One pair came back with the notch, the other was just hemmed regular-​no notch. Weird.
Had jeans altered. They did a good job on that.
Had new zipper put in skirt. Also a great job.
Had summer dress straps shortened. Length was as I requested, but the sewing was not completed all the way-​you can see light through the middle of the strap.
Total bill for shortening 1 pair of jeans, 2 pairs of shorts, new zipper and summer dress: $ 65.00

I was so excited to have a dry cleaner within walking distance of my house. But then it’s even better that they have a computer that knows me by name or phone number and it prints our detailed receipts showing all my items. . no more little slip that gets torn in half — computerized and automatic. Plus they’re the only cleaners that seem to always get my little instructions right — like buttoning certain shirts to the top. They also have done little repairs (patches, button fixes, etc.) without problem. I see a bad review on this site, but perhaps it was too soon after they opened to get to know them. I’ve had not a single problem whatsoever.
Oh, and I forgot — they support our local school (Sunset View Elementary) with an incentive program — I think that’s great!
