This place is ordinarily great. But the older barber there is terrible! I have received two bad cuts from him. The last cut, he rounded my edge on one aide and squared it on the other. When I asked him what was going on, he said he was going with my natural edge line, wth ?!? Never heard anything like this in my life. Whatever you do, do not like the older barber cut your hair!

I will give an honest review of this barbershop because after going here on and off for about a year, I know the 5 star ratings you see here are bogus. OK, Prince and Manny are the best barbers there hands down. Prince is the Jamaican guy with dreads that owns the spot. He usually is booked on a daily basis, so stop in one day, get his number and make an appointment for another day if he’s busy. He cuts extremely well and is the barber for football players such as Antonio Gates(I’ve seen him in there a number of times). These two barbers deserve a five star rating. The others… well, they are mediocre at best. Sean P is decent whenever he’s not already high which is hit or miss. get in early in the day before he lights one up. Warren is alright but he’s the only white barber there, so his clientele is predominately… white. Lastly, the old man(forgot his name but he’s the only really old barber in there).he will leave your hairline looking as curved up as the Coronado Bridge. Kinda reminds me of Fred Sanford when he blames stuff on his«arthritis»…you don’t want that kinda mistake on your hair, man. The overall atomosphere can be pretty crazy depending on the conversation of the hour. I can’t really knock it because you can get that at any given barbershop. Prices.typically you’ll pay about 20 without a tip which I think is bs unless you’re getting a cut from one of the top notch barbers there. The others should be charging 15.

This is the best barber shop in San Diego! Ask any one of the starting professional NFL players that come in on a regular basis! Every time I’m here, there’s either a Ferrari, Bently, Porsche, or somethin else exotic out front! If it’s good enough for the home team, it’s definitely good enough for me! They take care of their customers. From razor shaves, fades, designs, and tapers… they’re the best! Yea, it can get busy, that’s why it’s highly recommended to make an appt! Every barber will give 100% of their skills. It’s located in the Harbor Pointe plaza, straight across from the navy base. This is the only barber shop open 7 days a week! Highly recommend their services!!!

This place is located in Barrio Logan which of course is one of the worst neighborhoods of San Diego. The place is mainly aimed toward African-American customers but all races are welcome. I was actually a barber as part of my job in the Navy(as a matter of fact, I still am) as I had to attend a four week school to become qualified, so I know all the ins and outs of barbering. Let me tell ya from firsthand experience, these men do a good job on the haircuts. I’ve been coming here off and on for over a year now and I’ve never encountered a bad barber. I agree with Eric M. that this place is no doubt unprofessional as far as how the shop is run, but then again this is a local neighborhood barbershop ran by ethnic people so my expectations really were not that high to begin with. As long as they continue to give me good quality haircuts then I will continue to be a customer here. This is just your chill, laid-back run-of-the-mill barbershop catered to us black folks. If you have seen the movie Barbershop with Ice Cube, then you more or less get the idea of what type of barbershop this is. All of the barbers does an outstanding job, but if you’re one of the very loyal customers or if you’re one of their homeboys then they will sometimes hook you up or give special treatment. It’s just like all the other local neighborhood barbershops that I’ve been to throughout my life so it doesn’t bother me one bit. However, they do have to do a better job at keeping the shop cleaner and getting the hairs off the floor and chairs. And I’ve even saw a couple of roaches here from time to time. Wait times vary; it is better to come during the week instead of the weekend when dudes wanna get fresh and fly for the ladies(I’m guilty of it as well), but during the week the wait time is about 15 minutes and on weekends it can be up to 45 minutes if you don’t show up early.

Prince is cool barber,(just be prepared to wait and put up with all kinds of madness) stay away from the older guy named Eric though(he will jack your head up!) My complaint is how they run their shop. Between the bums outside the shop to some of the barbers storing weed in their cabinets. It is just SUPER unprofessional. You can schedule an appointment, but unless you are one of the barbers homies you are going to be waiting for about an hour ½, if you are lucky. I have had times where the barber just stop cutting my hair to talk to some chick for about 30 minutes. I would have left but he was in the middle of my cut so I couldn’t walk out. They just come off as if they could care less about the consumer. But on a side note the taco shop next door is pretty bomb!
