I had been a patient with Dr. Moon’s office for years. I always had to see other doctors because Dr. Moon wasn’t available. Dr. Joyce, had accused me of taking illicit drugs based on one of their random urine testing, which was performed on me more often than other patients. That was a false test and I was told they would be letting me go. A blood test was taken and I passed it, to say that the urine test was left on the counter and their staff didn’t process it where another person could have swapped it for theirs would have been a fair assessment. As I was supposedly on a high level of medication, several attempts were verbalized to take me off, with little regard as to my chronic pain of how I would feel like without the medication.
The day before my appointment I had received my usual monthly reminder that I had an appointment the next day. I went to the appointment and I was told by the front desk employee that I didn’t have an appointment. I said, I received a recorded reminder about it yesterday. They didn’t want to have to tell me what was going on but after I asked to speak to a manager about it I was told that I was no longer a patient there. WHAT? There must be a mistake…
I was told to sit down while they checked. Half hour later the front office staff typed up a letter stating that because I had taken a prescription from another place other than Dr. Moon’s office, they were no longer going to see me as a patient.*
I was told that Dr. Joyce «checked the DEA list (as she usually did to track me) and saw that I had picked up a prescription, which was illegal for me to do so, per their contract.»
Based on that Dr. Moon had decided to deny seeing me as a patient in his office ever again.
*Unbeknownst to me, I was hospitalized the month before, while I was being released the nurse at the hospital had sent my spouse to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy for me. I personally had no knowledge of my spouse picking up that prescription, nor later that I would be in violation of any said contract.
In fairness to all patients, a quarterly reminder should be given to each patient so that they understand if they are ever hospitalized or for any other medical emergency, that they should refuse any medication prescribed outside of Dr. Moon’s office.

Dr. moon worships that dirt bag. you know the one with the horse crap remedies that are non-scientific.I agree with those who think Ozzy should lose his licence to practice medicine as do many doctors. He can’t keep professional partners.
I better stop here because I’ve said too much already.

I have been having back pain. So I went to see Dr. Song for a couple adjustments. He and his team did a great job and the pain is gone. I would recommended all my friends and my family to him and his team at Paincare of San Diego.

This has been my fourth pain care clinic and in my experience, Dr. David Majors is an exceptional doctor. What really separates him from my other clinicians is the amount of time both he and his staff dedicate to gain a deep level of understanding about the patient and the modalities of the problem (s). Their workup of my history went well beyond anything I was expecting.
Dr. Majors is intelligent, methodical, personable and clearly a very caring individual. He will be able to recommend highly-​rated specialists for surgery or care beyond his own scope. I feel immensely thankful for finding him.
Don’t give up – there are some good, caring doctors out there.

Dr. Heidi Henson is amazing. I saw her earlier today knowing I was overdue for an adjustment. I know at least 7 other people who see her and all sing her praises so I was very hopeful when I finally scheduled my appointment. Dr. Henson did not disappoint! My neck and back feel great. She is insightful, thorough, caring and downright gifted. I have already scheduled my next visit.
On a side note, Dr. Henson accepts Tri-​care! I’ll be referring everyone I know and I do not refer lightly. My only regret is not having found her sooner!

Great doctors/​great care!!!

Once again it’s been 7 months and my lawyer hasn’t received my medical records how much more time does it have to be before they get them it’s almost a year since my accident

I would have given more stars based off the service you get from the Dr. But because of the 4 months wait on medical records I can’t do any more then 2. It’s just plain ridiculous how long I’ve been waiting. I searched up by law HIPPAA medical records must be signed within 30 days of the request. I have already informed them I will take it out to the medical board. Let’s see how much longer it’ll take…

I love Dr. Moon! He is a wonderful, caring, compassionate doctor. He has great bedside manner and takes the time to listen to you. He doesn’t treat you like a number but as a person in need of help. Also be doesn’t just push you through because he’s behind or is overbooked and trying to get to the next patient. He answers every question throughly and you leave with a feeling of hope.

Dr. Henson took me by appointment on a Saturday because she really cares about her patients. I can not more highly recommend her as a doctor. She is very knowledgable and has amazing bedside manner which I find lacking in a lot of physicians these days.
The clinic is very nice and much bigger on the I side than you would expect. They have a full on gym in the rehab area which is kinda cool. I will be back next week for sure.

Caring and attentive. Takes a holistic view to your care while also willing to treat the immediate symptoms and maintaining focus on the long term goals. A safe place for people in pain. Dr Moon in particular is one of those rare physicians who truly wants the best for you and is exceptionally versed on pain management

I called the office a few days ago and let me known what was need. They called me the same day that they got the referral from the specialist which was great…
I saw medical assistance for my history as mine is a little lengthy Then i saw Dr. Moon. Dr. Moon seem to be caring, nice and he did the exam. After the exam, he offered what he thought and he did a procedure. He told me what he was going do during the producer that was nice
I don’t known if it help yet or not as it to early to tell. I think this place is great and highly recommended.

I am writing this view in case anybody with my condition is going through the same thing that I used to be experiencing. I have Ehlers-​Danlos Syndrome, and over the past few years since my medical separation from the military I have been through pain specialist after pain specialist (to also include ortho and rheumies.) It is extremely difficult to find a doctor in the San Diego area that knows anything about this condition, or is willing to learn about it and work with you, rather than telling what you should do — as if you were the average patient.
At this clinic, I have worked with Dr’s Song, Moon, and Acosta, and they have formulated a treatment plan that so far has been working great. I feel like I’ve gotten more done within the past few months with them treatment wise, than I did over the course of a year with my last doc (Gavrilyuk @ San Diego Arthritis Clinic.) To top that off, they were the first to ever take any legitimate images of my spine, rather than tell me the pain is all in my head. (It’s a herniated disc, and who knows how long it’s been that way!)
I still continue to have ups and downs, but they have dealt with my refusal to accept medications, and found ways to help treat the pain in ways that work for me. I’m extremely grateful for the staff of this facility and would highly recommend them to anyone, normal or ‘zebra.’ It’s worth the drive.

Highly insightful pain management group. Best technology available with an efficient and friendly staff… this office get’s a TWO THUMBS UP for their awesome state of the art office and impeccable service. You can’t go wrong with a dynamic duo like Dr. Song and Dr. Moon. Give them a try… you’ll be referring your friends and family to them.

I agree with JP this is a highly inefficient office. If you are someone who enjoys being put on a run around, extremely long waits, and endless follow up calls this place is for you. The girls in the front are great, Dr. Song and his staff are amazing, but the office is poorly run. There is no follow through, their employees have no training and they specialize in inconveniencing us (the patients in severe pain). I have been called twice for «scheduling conflicts» in 2 months, and they never remember my medical and PT visits in the same appointment. If you can help it GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This office is a joke. I only continue the headache because Dr. Song is there. Once he leaves I’m sure he’ll take his patients with him or at least I hope he does!

I have tried six times to get someone from this office to call me so I can make a new patient appt. I have sent a message via their website, left numerous voicemails, even spoke with someone all to be told they would call me back and never did. I know someone who is a patient here and she loves Dr. Moon. I’m sure he’s a wonderful dr but his staff is awful. It’s frustrating when your in pain and need to get in but can’t due to employees not doing what they are being paid to do.

my husband and I have been Paincare patients for over three years now. We were referred by our previous chiropractor after he moved his practice out of San Diego, and we have never had to go searching for another office.
Dr. Song and the entire staff from the front desk to the massage therapists (shout out to my girl Stacey) have been great to work with. Not only do they offer a great service, they offer it with care. They are very friendly and we are always happy to come in for our visit. My daughter often comes along with me and they are always so accommodating making her feel right at home while mommy gets worked on. She loves it when she gets a turn on the table too.
I have to agree with Andrea W. who says, «Dr. Song who is amazing, you don’t even have to tell him where it hurts and he can figure it out. He is serious about you keeping up with your appointments and maintenance to keep everything aligned and working properly…» I could not have said it better. He truly does care about the well being of his patients, by educating them and providing them with the right tools to get better. He is always open to my questions and always seems to have the answers.
I have recommended my friends, and not to mention, my entire family to Paincare of San Diego and will continue to do so.

Dr. Moon and his staff have always been kind and curteous. Doctor Moon takes his time to explain everything in detail and does not leave the room until you are finished asking all questions you have pertaining to your care.

The team at Pain Care of San Diego are awesome! Dr. Moon, Dr. Song and the physical therapy unit team have made a huge impact on my life. I went in for an epidural injection for a bulging disc at L4, L5 and Dr. Moon was great! Explain the injury and how the injection would work during and after. No surprises at all and I almost instantly felt better! I them started phyical therapy with Dr. Song, Kydricck & Stacy and they were wonderful. Explained how the machines worked, guided me and with their help, after the 8 weeks, I have my life back. No more pain! I highly recommend Pain Care of San Diego!

The doctors at Paincare are top notch. Everyone is very friendly, staff is helpful, and the wait time is minimal.
