It’s Panda Express. Typically a 3 star, quick Asian food fix. I don’t even know who actually reads reviews on Panda Express. That said, I just don’t understand why I need perform quality control on my to go order. I ordered three meals and an extra entrée of honey walnut shrimp, which costs $ 1.50. I know because it’s on the receipt I’m staring at. I get home and its not in the bag. It’s a to go order and I’m not driving back there to claim my $ 1.50 worth of product. It’s not hard for whoever is assembling the bag to double check it. I have a day job and I don’t get. paid to make sure my order was properly filled, that’s what I pay for. So yes, it’s a crappy review based on a single visit. My hope is that management will read it and sympathize with my plight and offer me free meals for life to rectify this transgression. In all likelihood, nothing will come of it and I’m just out the $ 1.50 and nobody will care about this solitary, entitled review.

The staff here is super friendly, no question about that. And I would have to agree that they’re as efficient as possible, especially during peak hours. But I’m not always impressed with the quality of food, and I can’t remember the last time I’ve been here when I haven’t had to wait for them to make a fresh batch of something I ordered. I wouldn’t mind waiting a couple minutes, but it can be a little lengthy. But with plenty of seating and a great location(right by Scripps, and Costco), it’s somewhere I’ll go when it’s convenient but would not go out of my way go get to.

The staff have a hard time keeping customers efficiently moving through the line. Lots of communication issues between customers and the front line servers. Line is slow, lots of inefficiencies. I would probably not come back here because I waited in line FOREVER. Also they don’t clean the tables. Every one of them had an issue.

By far the best Chinese fast food place you can find. The employees are also all very friendly and efficient. I wish I could remember the workers name, she was in charge of kids day yesterday. She was super sweet and handled all the kids very well. I’m new to the area and tried another Chinese restaurant nearby, food was horrible and double the price. If you need a good Chinese food fix go here!

For a fast food pseudo-Chinese food, there is value. Food is delivered quickly and tasty. We take it home for dinner! The staff’s efficiency is 5 star; food is 3.5 stars, equals a four star overall. We like the chow mein with the chicken dishes. We go there twice a month regularly when we visit Costco. Give them a try!

I’m sorry to say that yes, I am a fan of Panda Express… in limited quantities. Yes, I’m Chinese and should be ashamed of myself for saying this but I sometimes just want me some fake Chinese food! I love getting a kid’s meal here because the kid’s meals are plenty to keep me full. I’m in love with the chow mein and would eat honey walnut shrimp for breakfast, lunch, and dinner(sadly). This particular panda express is spacious and clean and has plenty or parking shared with Costco. I also like that they have an outdoor seating area just in case you want to bask under the sun while you eat. Even though all Panda Express locations have pretty much the same menu selection, I like this one because of the location! I am giving them 4 stars because there is just something about Panda Express that makes my tummy smile.

The food at this location is alway fresh. I can tell people really love this location because during lunch the line is long. Great customer service here! My husband and I waited for our food to be freshly cooked because they were running low on the black pepper chicken and as we waited the server Yen Gave us complementary drinks. She was very friendly too always smiling. People in costumer service could learn a thing or two from her. Thanks Yen!

Just an update, to my fellow vegetarians, this is one of the only panda expresses that still serve eggplant tofu in San Diego

I went here the other day on Thursday or Friday. It was quick and the food was fresh and it kept coming out. I saw a lot of people come in and out before I went inside. All the food looked and tasted really fresh. These guys were on their game when I ate there. For two people we spent $ 20

Only reason they didn’t get 5 stars is because this location does not give Military Discount. Other than that, I went in after 8 pm and they made 2 fresh dishes for me as there was not enough for an entrée. To me that wins my business back, anyone familiar with Panda Express knows they have pre made food ready for you to pick out –which can be unappealing, fresh is always better– so the fact that they were ready and willing to make me fresh servings was awesome. The food was great, I had the Walnut Shrimp and the Mushroom Chicken. Delish.

Generally I would eat at a Chinese restaurant than here but I just needed something quick. They were a little low on some stuff around 8pm but the guy helping me whipped up fresh mixed veggies when I asked if they had it. Then when I wanted string bean chicken, he looked at it and asked if I wanted more chicken, I said okay and he had someone cook up a fresh serving. Great service and the portion of food I got was huge.

We come at 9:45 and I know it’s close to closing time but as we were walking up to the store the guy made an X with his arms and didn’t want us to come in. I know you have to close and clean up after the restaurant but honestly that’s not good customer service. The closing time is 10:00PM and you should still be serving food until the actual time you close, not beforehand. It just sucks because I know there’s food leftover after the day ends and they didn’t even want us to come in. Thanks for terrible customer service; we weren’t even going to ask you to cook more food, we would have chosen from what you had leftover.

Manager needs an Attitude Adjustment My family goes to Panda Express maybe every other month. Went to this location the other night and the servers behind the counter were very friendly and patient as my family figured out what to get. Probably 3 employees assisted us as we made our way down the serving line and then the manager, dressed in black, jumped in like a bull and started prodding at the employees as to what spring rolls I had just asked for even though they had it under control. She was pushy, rude and obviously intimidates the other employees based on the reaction to her jumping into the conservation. Their bubbly smiles shut off as she ‘helped’. Afterwards I saw an employee stepping out front for a break and I mentioned how the manager was not very friendly and the employee responded«yeah, that’s the way she is» while agreeing with me. We like the food, service and place but I always feel as though my 2 item dinner is not much more than a little more than a one serving. Food: A for taste — Tasty but I don’t want to know how unhealthy it is. Service: B+ Good except for the manager Clean: A Cost: B+

Every time: there are 2 types of morons in line I get stuck behind waiting: Moron A: Didn’t think to call in his 5-person lunch order ahead of time, thus depleting every tray of it contents, and causing the rest of us to wait. This forces the cooks into a frenzy to satisfy the crowd. Moron B: goes straight for MYENTREE the broccolli beef and takes it all. Either way this place is routinely chock-full of morons. If the servers weren’t so damn humble and nice, and the food wasn’t so euphoria-inducing I wouldn’t keep coming back. God help the next moron thats ahead of me in line.

FIRSTIMPRESSION: Clean, quick, everything I’ve come to expect from Panda Express. This store is relatively new + their store feels that way too. I’ve come here when there is a giant line or none at all + they churn the customers out pretty quickly. Catering beware — See below. THEEATS: The food at Panda is consistent at every location I’ve ever been too. Sure, some have fresher tables than others(mostly due to volume + variety of what patrons order), but it all consistently tastes the same. Catering — My first attempt at catering from this location started well. Ordering on the phone was painless. When I arrived a couple minutes before my requested pickup time, the next shift discovered that they hadn’t prepared my order. It would be wise to give yourself(+ this store) some extra padding in your schedule. THEVERDICT: For a quick meal, they’re great(this store with higher quality than others I’ve been to). But be forewarned about the catering here; I will try again some other time, hopefully with better results befitting the friendly store staff.

I am in total agreement with the other Unilocalers: the staff is consistently outstanding. Every single time anyone walks in that door, one of them yells«Welcome to Panda!» with a smile on their face. They always know my order: large mixed vegetables with two packets of spicy mustard on the side. Wow, I just realized I sound totally anorexic. Anyhow, whenever they are out of an item, they begin making it immediately, and I have never had to wait more than 3 minutes for the food to be made. That is unknown at other places during lunch hour! They must be feeding these people special Panda crack but I don’t care because they’re awesome.
