Playful Paws Pet Care

We have been using Playful Paws for the past two years and would never go anywhere else! Lisa is super friendly & always quick to respond via email! She also never forgets to send a quick text on Holidays, wishing us the best! Emily is our doggie sitter and our pups just love when she comes to visit. She always sends a photo or two of the doggie on walks or playing around the house! I highly recommend Playful Paws :)

We use Playful Paws regularly and could not be happier with their service. We first started using Playful Paws when we needed a dog walker, and now use them all the time to take care of our dog and cats when we go out of town. Lisa is so responsive, even when I ask her last minute for a pet sitter. Our animals love the various caregivers we have met through Playful Paws — including Meaghan, Morgan, and Dawn. The animals are always well taken care of and happy when we return. And I always appreciate that while we are away, Playful Paws texts after each visit to let me know our animals are doing well.

I love that when they walk my dogs they always send a pic :) my dogs really like the girls and they are very reliable and trustworthy.

We’ve used Playful Paws Pet Care twice and our little Winston loves Lisa! I think he’s actually sad to see us return home. She takes him to the dog park, keeps him on his regular schedule/​routine and generally pampers him!
I’m always more comfortable leaving Winston in Lisa’s care instead of putting him in an impersonal kennel. Lisa will text, call or send updates if I want them which always puts us at ease while we travel.

Playful Paws are just awesome. The people are very kind and loving with all pets, no matter the size or breed. I usually find it difficult to find someone who can take care of my pets when I’m at work because not only are they very energetic but they forget how big they are and start acting as if they were a 10 lbs cat when in fact they are a couple of 90 lbs pitbulls. This is my second review for Playful Paws, when I first started working with Lisa I had just my cat. Now that I have adopted a dog I am even more grateful for her and her team! If it was not for my trust in Playful Paws I am not even sure I would have felt comfortable bringing a dog into my home. My dog is IN LOVE with Lisa! And adores Meghan too! It makes me feel so much less guilty when I know that Lisa has come and given him a walk and a cuddle when I have a long day at the office. She is always professional, always cheerful, and seems to be able to pull off scheduling miracles when things come up unexpectedly.

Let me start by saying that my husband and I are a little crazy about our dogs. We’ve had them for about ten years and they are pretty much just like our children (with all due respect to those who have actual human children :)
Over the summer, one of our dogs had emergency surgery (with months of recovery time and still has on-​going meds), so we didn’t feel comfortable with the kennel route. We had just moved to San Diego, to boot, and we wanted as little stress for the dogs as possible while we were away. On top of all that, we’d never left the keys to our house with a virtual stranger, and wanted to know our home’s security would be a priority. Needless to say, we were really serious about finding a caring, trustworthy pet sitter.
Lisa was among several pet sitters who came very highly recommended on Unilocal,and we decided to interview her and two other companies before choosing the best fit for us. I mean, I was serious (if not over the top). My husband and I both had written-​out questions, I had researched national pet-​sitting standards, and we were determined to find the best person to care for our dogs (and our home). Of the people we interviewed, and while the other two were nice people, Lisa was by all measures the clear leader in professionalism, knowledge of pet-​sitting standards, and down-​right sweetness with our two pups.
* Professionalism: Lisa is licensed, bonded and insured, and has excellent practices for medication administration, pet care and home/​key security. She took detailed notes at every preliminary meeting and by the time we left for vacation, she seemed to have every one of our detailed requests memorized.
* Personal Touch: Lisa did a video chat over iPhone with us one day so we could «visit» with our two dogs (although they seemed to be perfectly happy just visiting with her!). We were gone for two weeks, and Lisa or her staff e-​mailed every day with a brief update. She was very accommodating of every request we had, even when I felt like we were being crazy pet parents.
* A true pet lover: Our dogs don’t snuggle with just anyone. But the minute Lisa walked in the door the first time, they were up on her lap, giving her «kisses.» We could not believe our eyes! Every time after that, they’ve been super excited to see her (and her staff) — just as excited as when my husband and I come home. I truly could not ask for a more perfect fit! It was so important to us to find someone who would be as loving as we are with the dogs — and we definitely found it with Playful Paws Pet Care!

Lisa is an absolute life saver when my husband and I travel. We have relied upon her to take care of our cat for a couple years now and she is amazing. I work for an airline and travel as much as I can, and never need to be stressed about pet care because Lisa is always available to help. Most times I don’t give her much notice and my travel plans change a lot last minute. Lisa has always been completely accomodating. She is as flexible as one can possibly imagine. She also keeps us very up to date (via text) how our cat is doing. We can’t thank Lisa enough for everything she does for us while we are out of town. I would strongly recommend her!

Being a SoCal transplant, I desperately needed someone to take care of my kitties during my many trips back home. The vet had referred me to Playful Paws, and I’m so thankful for that recommendation! Lisa has been nothing but AMAZING with my two himmies — she is truly an animal lover. It’s so nice to be able to travel and actually have the peace of mind knowing my kitties are well taken care of in my home. She’ll even send me texts letting me know that they are doing well. So nice to have that reassurance while away! I have used her services over several holidays, occasionally with short notice and even a much longer visit for a three week trip abroad. She has always been very accommodating and responsible and I always come home to two very happy kitties! I would trust nobody else to provide such great care for my animals… Playful Paws all the way!!!

Lisa has watched my dog several times, and also can help you get engaged! Yes I am not kidding. She watched our dog for a last minute trip and I came back engaged!

I trust Lisa taking care of my baby Pucho. My dog loves her to the point he know her name and he only does that to people he likes. Sometimes I give her short notice and she is always available and I find her price fair and reasonable knowing is not easy to take care of dogs. She is very responsible and I often text her while Im away to see how is my dog and she always reply back in a reasonable time.
I recommend her 100% as I believe she treats the dogs very lovely and really care for them and that’s what every dog owner ones, someone that love and care for their beloved pets when they are away.

I travel for business frequently and many times at the last minute. I am very pleased with Playful Paws Pet Care. Lisa is one of those people that has a true love for animals and she treats the pets she watches like they were her own. I have used pet services before with mixed reviews, but Lisa makes her service stand above the rest; in that, not only does she take care of your pet, but she also takes care of your home. 100% trustworthy and highly recommended!

I travel a lot for business and it is very comforting to know that she is so trustworthy and reliable — and my dogs (and cat) absolutely love when she visits.
All pet sitters are not created equal! Some just really care and go the extra mile. Playful Paws has always been very reliable, responsive and flexible — even when last minute trips pop up.

I was going away for an 8 day holiday vacation and needed someone to check in periodically on our 2 cats. I knew my coworker had a regular dog-​sitter, so I asked her. She gave rave reviews of Lisa at Playful Paws Pet Care and I had to give her a call. I’m so glad I did!
Her rates are very reasonable ($ 15/​visit), she’s incredibly reliable, and she’s a fellow animal lover/​pet owner. I’ve used her service several times since (some for last-​minute weekend getaways) and she has stepped up to every challenge.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
