Improving a good customer service is probably helpful. This is a little bike shop in a corner of an intersection. I pass by here all the time and never seen any crowd inside so I’m pretty sure they’re not so busy selling stuff. Not sure about repair. Xavier probably knows some good customer service but the other staff I have mixed feelings. So today I finally made an attempt to do business with them, brought my mtn bike in for a little adjustment on its brake lever. The woman stared at it and put a price $ 20. It’s okay that’s affordable! It was like 1:30pm. She said «we will call you before we close at 7pm» Umm is it really that complicated to adjust the lever for them to do it for long hours? There are other reviews about them saying that their bike problems were fixed in 20−30mins that motivated me to come. I said, I will hang out at the shopping mall and it would be nice if I can get it back sooner. The lady said, oh ok it may not take that long to fix it. Two and a half hours past I did not get a call. So I called instead, spoke with Xavier. He was not there earlier when I dropped the bike. He asked me what kind of bike is it. I described to him and took him a few minutes to find out that it has not been done. I offered to take the bike back thinking they may be swamped. He said «No we’ll do it!» And he agreed for me to come in 20mins. I got there after half hour just to give them time to finish it. At that time the bike was already sitting in the corner, done! There was no other customer inside, only Xavier who introduced himself as the owner and one other guy working on some bikes in the back of the counter. I hid my frustration by talking nicely to Xavier. To me it was a least expensive learning experience. At least I’ve learned how their customer service looks like before spending hefty $$ to upgrade my mtn bike on which the lady suggested me to do when I walked in. Yes, they have expensive bikes there but still affordable to me if I want it especially if they have good customer service in place. Too bad, they have lost a customer for life :/

Poor service! I bought a bike a couple month ago. I don’t know somehow I got flat tire and they charged me too expensive even they told me before that a bike will be warranty for a year. Avoid this store!!!

Don’t go here! The lady behind the counter is cocky and simply rude. She bragged about fixing anything and she’s «been doin it do a while» so I brought my bike in and then she Wouldn’t show me anything cuz of the brand of breaks I had. All I needed was a mount and she wanted me to buy brand new stuff when my breaks we’re fine and always worked perfect told me my stuff was trash. Wtf!?! Never again and I will always speak down upon this place

Knowledgeable bike shop staff. Got my son’s bike fixed quickly and on the spot! Lots of accessories too. Very reasonable repair prices. Would recommend friends to come here.

I was banging my head… the rear suspension on my Mtn. Bike was giving me fits and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong, although I thought it was the bottom bracket.
I took it in and the mechanic was busy so I left it there, after telling him the symptom’s. Ran an errand for thirty minutes, returned to the shop and it was fixed! For 10 bucks! It wasn’t the bottom bracket, just something simple I overlooked, he saved me a nice chunk of change. Good to know there is still an honest shop out there.

Walked in with my bike and was immediate helped with the slew of things I had to deal with… Two flats, a rusted chain, and a half cut through bike lock. They fixed the tires while I waited even though I didn’t have an appointment and helped me pick out a suitable new lock in my price range. I thought the cost of services was very fair, but I’m not sure how they compare with other shops.
This was my first time in the shop. Susan helped me and was very friendly. Seems like the kind of place that gets to know and care about its regular customers (seemed to be on first name basis with a few other people in the store), and I’d happily go back with any future needs for fixing my bike/​bike services.
That said, I’ve been hoping to buy a new bike soon but am a casual biker at best and all of their bikes were well out of what I could justify spending. So I probably wouldn’t buy a bike here. I’m sure they carry nice things (and again, they do sell used and seem to have some layaway plans) for more intent hobbyist/​professionals.

I bought my three year old a 16″ bike here and Tony was so helpful. The bike is great — high quality and easy for him to ride. I brought it back last week for a tune up and Tony was there again, very nice and knowledgeable. Great selection and fair prices on bikes and accessories.

By far the best bike shop in San Diego. The owners are great and I will never go anywhere else! Thank you… I love my new bike :)

We just had the most amazing experience and walked away with two brand new bikes, helmets and the perfect bike seat for our toddler. Susan was absolutely outstanding and she was so helpful in matching both my husbands requirements «fast!!» and mine «safe and stable for a 5″ woman with a toddler on the back». :)
Wonderful, knowledgeable and really committed to making sure that the bikes suited our individual needs — and advice that really helped us in deciding which bike was best for each of our styles/​wants. On top of that, while we were there, they welcomed a wide range of customers and treated them all with dedicated focus on a number of different bike related topics. I love to show local and this store is a true reflection of dedication to the customer in a very family owned environment. I highly recommend them. :)
PS As I was writing this, my husband took his new bike for a spin. He just came bursting in the house (with his helmet still on) and screamed «my bike is AWESOME!». :)

these guys are awesome… called around to get my mountain bike fork cut to spec and these guys knew what I wanted and did it with quickness and quality.
Other places I called didn’t even know what I was talking about over the phone and wanted me to come in for an estimate.
I will go to Q bikes from now on.

I am a bicycle affectionado. I love bikes. I used to shop at the old shop and found Xavier and his wife to be knowledgeable, helpful and service oriented. Since Q Bikes moved to their new diggs. The shop is more convenient and I stop in more often. When it comes to small parts, they always seem to have the parts I need. There is always a bike on sale or something tempting when I go in.
A classy shop that will likely have what you need.

I’ve come in a bunch of times for either repairs or parts and it has a decent selection of BMX parts compared to most other bike shops in the area (excluding of course the few shops that deal solely with BMX). Whenever I come in they are usually pretty helpful and knowledgeable and if an employee doesn’t know how to answer some BMX related question they have an employee who used to ride for Dirt Bros back in the day who can usually help.
Still, if time is not an issue, I’d rather go a little out of my way to a BMX specific shop.

Ten yrs ago I purchased two Raleigh hybrid bikes for the wife and I. The service and sales were exemplary.
The tradition continues as I just purchased a Raleigh mt. bike. Lots of features for a modest price. The folks there helped me accessorize it and offered sound advice, not the upsell techniques at some other bike shops.
This family-​owned shop won’t oversell you, but can build or order any bike out there.

We googled the nearest bike parts store in our area because my brother-in-law’s bike was broken and he needed to fix it before school started the next day.
They were very helpful and worked to replace his bent front rim quickly and also did some extra tweaking free of charge. The price was very reasonable and we left happy customers. I definitely recommend this place to others who are in need of bike replacement parts.
