Looking for an event rental? Don’t worry we do that too! Our event rentals are catered to your any and all events. We mostly service weddings, sports events, marathons, pub crawls, charities, and large dinner parties. But we are happy to try something new! Delivery available anywhere in San Diego. Fun and charming drivers available upon request!

Created to share the joy of driving street legal golf carts with everyone in San Diego! Young entrepreneurs Daniel Hack and Tyler Hanson wanted to give locals and visitors access to the thrill of riding outside.

What’s up San Diego?!

I must say… San Diego absolutely rocks. Who doesn’t like passing cars in a golf cart at the beach? This will be my third venture and by far the most exciting. You can find me studying real estate at The University of San Diego, kite surfing in the bay, or racing golf carts (Professionals Only: Do Not Attempt).

After many requests, Daniel and I decided to give the people what they want. Hop on and enjoy!

Hello fello golf cart enthusiasts, I am a Pacific Beach local. When I am not driving a golf cart around, I will most likely be getting a little too serious on the ping-​pong table, reading a good book on my roof, or skating down the boardwalk. I look forward to meeting you and showing you what golf carts are all about.

Had nothing but a great experience from start to finish. Rented a 6 pax cart to help transport people around my daughters school for Grandparents Day and it was a huge success. The cart was clean and in great shape. Matt delivered it on time and was our driver for the day, he was so courteous and helpful and went above and beyond for us. I would recommend this company and will be using them again!

These guys are great. They obviously love what they do.
Friends of mine used them two nights in a row for a wedding. They let us decorate the 4 seater for the bride and groom the first night and the second night they got a 6 seater to chauffeur guests from the hotel to the party.
Leland was the driver for the second night. Great personality! He made it fun for everybody.

Had a great experience with Rec Rentals.
We were staying at Campland on the Bay for my son’s birthday. I knew parking would be a problem, and we needed a way to get people to and from the site. Called Rec Rentals, and they were so nice and courteous, we couldn’t have rented from a better company. The kids had a blast cruising around in the golf cart. We will definitely be renting again!

So I had some friends visiting from out of town, and they didn’t have a way to get around and I wasn’t able to lend them my car, and since they were on vacation, they wanted something a little different than a normal rental car to check things out. In SD, you kind of need a car. We priced it out and for the open air experience and the fun of being able to zip around PB/​Mission Beach. The cart was fun and had enough space for the belongings we needed to carry. Finding parking was easy because of the cart’s size, which can be kind of hard to come by in Mission Beach. We had a really fun time and it was great trying something a little different. I would definitely get one again! Thanks guys!

We were camping at Campland this weekend, and wanted to get a golf cart for my friend who has a sprained ankle that didn’t respond well to all the walking. We checked onsite, but the golf carts were $ 180 for 8 hours, AND had to be returned by 5 pm. Called another place they recommended, and when they asked when I needed it (approximately, NOW), they said I should have booked it several weeks in advance; they were out.
REC Rentals to the Rescue! Called them up, and when he asked when I wanted it (now), he said — how’s 45 minutes? Now we’re talking!
They were extremely professional, friendly, accomodating — a couple college guys who apparently follow the business model: Find a need, fill a need. And, they do it well.
Golf cart ran perfectly, was in great shape, and they delivered and picked it up for free (w/​in 10 mile radius of PB — just the price of gas beyond that). Our 4-​person cart was just $ 95 for 24 hours, and even got an extra $ 10 off by checking in on Unilocal; gotta love that. I would absolutely use REC Rentals again next time I need a golf cart. I don’t know when that will be, but I might just have to find a reason!
PS — They also have 6-​person carts, but those were all booked up. If you want more selection, it would make sense to reserve in advance.

Rec Rentals was amazing. We called a few weeks before our wedding and needed a 6 person cart and Rec Rentals came through. When we got to the venue the cart had been delivered fully charged and was ready to go. After we were done the cart was gone. We never saw the staff or heard anything about the cart, which to me was a sign of a good company.
Nothing but professionalism from start to finish and it is clear that they put their customers first. The cart was in spectacular shape and it was in such good condition that our photographer decided to use it in a couple of shots.
Rec Rentals thank you for adding to our amazing wedding.

These guys have the best rental service in the entire SoCal area. Hands down. Very friendly, very organized and their deals are amazing. I recommend them to everyone who needs carts for any kind of event. Or if you just want a weekend rental for bopin around town, these guys are the ones to go to. I called these guys asking if they did maintenance on carts. It’s impossible to find anyone near PB that can fix carts. They do not offer maintenance but they gave my number to a guy that does. I’m not even a customer and they offered great service. Just image the service they would give to paying customers. If you are on vacation in PB I highly recommend renting a cart to get around town. You can ride a cart just about anywhere in PB. Parking is at a premium a cart is a easy solution to that problem.
Go through these guys if you are looking for great service.

Golfing doesn’t excite me BUT golf carts do. I am so ecstatic that Rec Rentals brought these babies to SD to make transportation fun, easy, and affordable. These golf carts fit right in especially for our local beach cities and the parking is great since its not as big as a normal vehicle.
You will get nothing less than A+ service here and the rental process is easy breezy. They even offer delivery which is so convenient. They really care about what they are doing and their customers. If you are a local like me you will love it or if you are here on vacation this is a MUST for your means of transportation and the best option to get around town. So ditch the bike, cab, your vehicle for today and go rent one of these awesome golf carts and see SD in a new light it is so worth it!

Professional owners with great service. The cart was clean, ran like a champ, and looked brand new. We enjoyed it so much that we reserved 2 carts in July when we return to San Diego. I plan to take my clients out to dinner one night and pick them up in the cart! I’d highly recommend giving it a try for a day. It was hassle free and affordable… and not to mention a beautiful ride along the beach!
