At Remcon Design Build, we provide clients in the San Diego area with «Peace of Mind» when it comes to remodeling their home or business. We specialize in commercial tenant improvements; complete home remodeling, room additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels and much more. We handle all the details of each remodel project for our clients. Our service includes conceptualizing the design, obtaining permits and housing materials until your desired outcome is a reality.

We are a family owned and operated business in San Diego that prides itself on remodeling quickly, efficiently and treating each San Diego client with the utmost respect. We are always available to clients to answer any custom build questions. And because a remodeling project can interrupt the daily activity of a home or business, we coordinate with our clients to create the least amount of disruption.

History

Established in 1997.

Design Build combines the design, permit, and construction process in order to streamline the traditional building environment. REMCON Design Build provides enhanced communication, accountability, value-​based project feedback, and a single source for the entire design and construction process.

Remcon Design Build was established by Roy Vyas in 2003. Roy’s vision was to create a company that would proudly serve San Diego by constantly providing quality work and great customer service. At Remcon customer satisfaction is paramount, it means a lot to us and we strive to always do better. Roy has had many years experience in construction field. He started by supervising and later running the construction of large shopping centers and office buildings in El Paso, Tx. That included tenant improvements. He brought all that experience to San Diego and put it into building and remodeling homes as well as tenant improvements of large office building space.

Sibella was our wonderful project manager for our bathroom remodel. I love my bathroom! It is just the oasis that I wanted. The job was completed on time and would have been on budget except for our (beneath the floor) toilet plumbing — no surprise since the bathroom was 50 years old. Tony was our main man and was thorough, maintained a clean area and very respectful as well as courteous. Everyone on our team has vast expertise and we do trust and recommend them.

We met the owner Ronen, of Remcon Construction Inc. at the San Diego Home show in February and had our kitchen remodeled in mid March. His fabricator Manuel was great, he listened to our requests, made his templets and created our counter and new center island exactly as we wanted. The knowledge and expertise really came through in the quality and care of the finished product! The experience was great. We recommend Ronen and his company for any kitchen remodel. He will work with you to make your dream kitchen a reality.

So Renee has completed the bathroom and it is amazing. Pretty much more than we can ask for. All we wanted was a functioning bathroom again and that is exactly what we got and more. There is still one more thing that needs to be done but that should be quick and easy. Renee has been amazing. Definitely someone that I trust in my house and someone that I would recommend to everyone. Ronan has been absolutely amazing throughout this whole process. He is very honest and very willing to work with his customers. This is definitely something that is lacking with a lot of the other companies that I spoke with. They were more focused on telling me what they can do and not necessarily asking me what it was that I was looking for and then working from there. I recommend that Ronan keep up this type of work because it is something that a lot of people will appreciate. Overall I really enjoyed my experience with Remcon and I will definitely be keeping their number in case of any other work that I will need in the future.

Remcon is great. I am strictly basing my review on the initial meeting for a quote as we didn’t move forward with our addition. I have to give them 5 stars on their presentation though. Ronen came out and was awesome. He was there for us and interested in what we wanted. He was realistic with everything and they are very fairly priced. If you are interested in Design Build go with Remcon!

We had great remodels on both bathrooms in our house from Ronen of Remcon. I received a few quotes from different companies before making my decision of choosing Remcon due to their reasonable price and detailed outline of the project. Our 1st bathroom remodel was done at the beginning of 2015 and came out great so we asked them back to remodel the remaining bathroom. The team was great to work with and flexible with our schedule. They had great communication through emails, phone calls, and text message. We’ve received many compliments on the bathroom so we’ve spoken about them to our friends and family.

The Remcon team from start to finish was great to work with – from the very beginning they listened to what we wanted to get out of our remodel, helping us execute our exact vision to create our gorgeous new kitchen. They worked with the materials we chose, provided insight on what was going to work for our needs and in our house, kept us informed on the status of the project and the schedule of events happening day-​to-​day, and were on top of every detail throughout the entire renovation process. The result is exactly as we had hoped it would turn out when we started this process. We would definitely use Remcon again for any future remodeling projects!

My husband and I did a lot of research on home remodeling companies. We had 6 quotes and we chose Remcon because the owner, Roy, was the only contractor that had a very creative solution to our idea that ended up saving us thousands of dollars and was by far, the best idea. His idea made our home addition look like it was always there and part of the existing structure of the house. All of the other remodelers would have had an extension that was noticeable with a beam in the ceiling. We could not be happier with the outcome! The quality is by far the best we have ever seen and my husband and I have been thru multiple home builders in our past. Ronen did an excellent job of project managing and providing us with details around who would be at our house and what steps were being completed throughout the project Most of the time, they were very responsive and convenient with our schedule. They even treated us to extra’s on multiple occasions, really going above and beyond to impress and ensure we were nothing but happy with the outcome of the project.
I highly recommend them!

The Remcon team did a fantastic job on our remodel. They converted our 3 bedroom, 2 ¾ bath house into a 4 bedroom 3 bath with master en suite dream. The bathroom off of the Master was a small ¾ bath with a shower and we really wanted an en suite. Ronen came to the house the same day we called, asked what we envisioned for the space, and had a bid for us the next day.
Rene and is his team were extremely courteous and attentive to detail, providing guidance on potential improvements based on their years of experience, including going to the home improvement store with us and helping choose the best products for the projects. They arrived on time every day, even on the weekend, and always stayed until at least 5 o’clock, making sure to clean up before they left for the evening. We have small children and a dog and Rene’s team took extra care to ensure the doors remain closed and locked while they worked, even when they had to go in and out for supplies.
They did such a great job with the en suite, we asked them to convert part of the Master bedroom space back into a 4th guest bedroom. We asked if they could get it done within ten days as we had guests coming. Ronen had a quote within an hour and Rene’s crew started the next day. It was amazing to watch them convert the space efficiently and quickly and have it done in time for our guests.
We did not have a single moment of concern during these projects as the whole team was in constant contact with us every step of the way. Ronen called and stopped by regularly to check on progress and Rene led his team with amazing attention to detail and efficiency. I cannot recommend the Remcon Design Build team enough.

Thank you Remcon! Our bathroom remodel was fantastic! We started off with a really small bathroom and no closet and ended up with a beautiful vintage looking bathroom with a walk in closet. Our budget was a bit tight and we for sure thought we’d end up going over however Ronen came over and discussed all kinds of options, we ended up under our budget! Ya that like never happens!
The consultation was very visual since he was able to put the lay out on his Ipad and we could actually see what it would look like. Ronen also went with us to pick out the tile and paired it perfectly with the look I wanted. I’m glad I listened to his opinion. There weren’t any surprise hidden fees and he was very upfront about how much everything would cost. Again something that rarely happens!
When the workers came the first and foremost impression they gave was clean; there was butcher paper and plastic in all the right places and when they were done, everything was vacuumed and left very clean.
The project took 3 weeks, but mainly due to the bathtub and tile that we wanted being late. The workers were respectful and worked hard.
We have contacted Remcon for another project in our backyard and I’m sure we’ll be pleased.

REMCON did a fantastic job on our Kitchen remodel. I am really giving it four and half stars, but Unilocal wont’ let me. We had them expand the existing area about 2 feet, put in new counters and cabinets and put in new flooring. Overall the experience was pleasant. Our sales lead Ronen was on top of every issue. We fielding all of our calls and answered all of our questions throughout the process no matter the time. One minor issue was we thought Israel (who we thought was going to be our project lead) was non existent. This was due to other projects they had going. Not a big deal, but didn’t know it up front and caused some confusion/​delay as to who we were supposed to call for any questions. Ronen winded up doing most of the coordination and as stated before made up for it by always being responsive, accommodating and honest.
The quality of the craftsmanship was excellent. Angel the worker (I believe his name was) was very knowledgeable in plumbing, basic carpentry and electrical and the work was very good to include the little things like conduit for the all the electrical wires. The cabinet maker was on time and did an outstanding job as did the counter top folks.
Overall we are very pleased with the work, they did it on time (as an aggregate of work days not calendar days) and within the budget of the original quote. Our family couldn’t be any happier with our new kitchen and would certainly recommend Ronen to any project REMCON Designs is doing for you.

I initially wanted only to add on an upper deck to the house, and I made an inquiry through Thumbtack. Remcon was the first to respond, and, boy, am I glad they did. To construct the deck was not an easy project, but Roy and his long-​time crew did a masterful job. Aside from being absolutely solid, the deck was done so as to be aesthetically pleasing. Furthermore, Roy took care of the city permit and inspections. If I say so myself, it’s probably the most attractive deck in the neighborhood. Roy and his employees were so meticulous as to the smallest details that I engaged his company to remodel a bathroom. Again, I’m really glad that I went with Remcon, as everything from the drywall, plumbing, painting, masonry, and all the fixtures made for a wonderful addition to the house. In my book, Remcon will be the company whose services I’ll engage again, should I do any further remodeling. A last thought is that I also consider Roy a friend, as his work ethics are outstanding, and he’s simply a fine man. David

Remcon Design just finished a bathroom remodel in my 1955 home. The bathroom isn’t that big but Remcon did an excellent job installing a really nice walk in shower. Working with Tarja we picked out tiles and colors, along with vanity and light fixtures. Their contractor Rene did an outstanding job building the shower and redoing the entire bathroom.
I like Remcon’s approach to the project. All of the materials except for the shower door were readily available at various hardware or tile stores. No long wait ordering big parts such as floor pans. The shower was built from scratch from the ground up. Overall quality of their construction is outstanding. The shower door is great. Nice thick 3/​8″ glass with a door that opens both ways.
I highly recommend Remcon for any remodel and if you’re in the market check out their showroom and website.

AWESOME experience! Everyone at REMCON is professional and courteous.
We bought a new kitchen at Ikea and were referred to another installer, they were booked through February. Remcon was busy too but they worked with our schedule and installed our kitchen within days!!! They bent over backwards to accommodate our deadlines, work schedules and even my son’s nap schedule.
Their work is top notch and when Ikea shipped several wrong cabinets the guys came back at a later time to finish the job.
Great communication with John, professional crew and attention to detail. REMCON is highly recommended.

Remcon Design has done an exceptional job with both my condo remodel and my parents remodel/​addition.
At the first visit, the Remcon team came in with the owner, a designer and the main subcontractor. They had estimates ready in just a couple of days.
I had to hold off until the last minute to hire them, but when I did, they came in full force. They completed our entire remodel, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, office, room expansion, lighting, ceiling lift, cable/​internet runs, paint throughout, and complete re-​plumbing in only 7 weeks!
Along the way, the owner and designer kept in close contact on progress and changes. We added a lot to the scope during the construction process, and the job still got done in a timely manner. The company was very open and honest about which changes would really make a difference in the condo, and which were not worth the money.
We saw progress almost every day in the work, and the construction guys were clean (no trash laying around!) and professional. They worked hard and were extremely efficient.
The entire job was reasonable, and all we had to do was choose what we liked. I would recommend Remcon.
