Rita’s GP LLC, headquartered in San Diego, CA., with the corporate headquarters in Trevose, PA is the largest Italian Ice concept in the nation, currently operating in 18 states with more than 550 stores. So delicious! Great treat after dinner whether you want something Fruity or try something new! I got mint chocolate with a scoop of strawberry… because I couldnt decide… and they were both Delicious! I wanted to try them all!

We stopped in for soft serve tonight and ended up throwing out our cones… the soft serve tastes stale, makes me wonder what we were eating. Say goodbye to my business for good… soft serve isn’t rocket science.

One of my favorite Rita’s in this area! The custard is back!!! Lauren was extremely kind and made ordering easy! I got the green apple with vanilla custard and vanilla! So yummmy!

We loved this place. Then one day we came in an we were told they are no longer using eggs in their custard, (so it is no longer custard) due to egg prices. But their prices didn’t reflect that fact. I think if your gonna take something away that makes your product superior, keep it that way. I don’t want to pay for something that is less than. So we haven’t been back

The ice and soft serve combination is pretty tasty though being a fairly all-​natural type of gal I couldnt help but cringe at all the food coloring and sugar though I dare say I did not expect any different I was just absolutely in need of something frozen and this place is close to my house. I got a cherry and vanilla gelati (ice and ice cream combo) and it was delicious even if it made my teeth hurt a little. It was far more expensive then I expected ($ 4 for a regular) They were pleasant though it is overpriced. They said they do not have custard for now because of an egg shortage??? News to me — would have really likes to have custard it is my favorite — and I could have avoided feeling about 5 years old with my bright red stained mouth. Anyway — good for what it is but not amazing.

Ok so this is the new place on the block so obviously I wanted to try it. The sign, windows and walls ect say custard so I wanted to try it. I walk in oh I’m sorry we don’t sell custard anymore we have softserve. Excuse me you are new your signs are new you would think they would have just put soft serve and ice on the sign. I just walked out. HELLO IF YOUR SIGN AND WINDOWS SAY YOU SPECIALIZE IN SOMETHING YOU SHOULD HAVE IT!!!

Yaaay! Came back and was happy to see that there were two nice ladies up front and it helped ALOT!
Service was much quicker this time, and i could tell that the employees were genuinely enjoying themselves which is something i love to see when I visit any establishment.
This time I got a gelati with cookie dough italian ice (which was amazing just by itself) with a chocolate-​vanilla custard swirl, topped with chocolate chips. I like to play it safe typically but i think next time ill try something a bit different :)

My husband and I are obsessed with Rita’s! We were excited to see one being built by our house and waited for this one to open. We were there opening day and have been there many many times since! The customer service is good and our friend Lauren takes good care of us! They let you sample whatever flavor you would like and are patient as you make your decision. The Gelati is my favorite. The ice flavors change frequently and I have never been disappointed! Oh! And don’t forget to grad some Oreo ice cream sandwiches to take home for later while you’re there!

This just opened by my parents house in San Diego so I decided to pick some up.
I was apprehensive to try the custard/​Italian ice blend but it actually ended up being really great! I got the vanilla custard and strawberry cheesecake and was really pleased. I would have liked a bit more custard but i will just know to request it next time.
All in all, I would recommend.

This place is sooo cute and the service was fine as well (: ! I really reccommend the gelato, which is shaved iced with custard on top it was delicious, there are numerous obtions of shaved iced and 3 different types of custard! I got the mocha italian ice with vanilla custard and my boyfriend got strawberry shaved ice and he said he really liked it ! C: definitely will be back

Rita’s opens up a little late but I went there when it was open and their gelato is very tasty. I came here for the buy one get one and it was worth it. They have seating inside which is nice and they have a restroom.

They have a good variety of yummy flavored shaved ice and frozen custard.
We got half pink lemonade/​fruit punch and a fozen swirl custard.

Okay– their Italian ice may be a quick fix to try and beat the heat… which is what I was TRYING to do today.
But they open at 1PM?!
I get that opening EARLY morning for a dessert type place is irrational, but I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one that has an eventful day BEFORE 1pm? And I’m pretty sure it gets hot before 1pm, too.
ANYWAY!
There were like 5 of us lined up to get Ritas. And when 1 o’clock finally rolls around… The girl working (Christina) opened up the door and CRICKETS. Like no smile, no good afternoon… NOTHING!
A combo of awkward and rude.
I’ve had Ritas before– and custard isn’t necessarily my cup of tea. It truly is like thick cold whipped cream.
Their Italian ice is good, but the sweetness is overpowering.
i would say save yourself an awkward experience and a $ 4 cup of ice and sugar and get a dollar Popsicle or something from CVS or the ice cream man.

Went to Rita’s after having dinner. Was craving Rita’s for awhile now. I had the tropical punch with vanilla custard. The vanilla custard was smooth and creamy with a sweet vanilla flavor. My daughter had the cherry with vanilla custard. The combination of flavors are awesome.
Husband had blue raspberry with orange cream custard. Husband gives it two thumbs up. I’m a fan of Rita’s. I even signed up for their rewards program. If you spend $ 50, you earn points for your next purchase. It’s so worth it.
The inside of Rita’s was a little bit larger than the location off of East H St. I’m so glad that they opened up a Rita’s at Palm Ave. The ladies working the front were friendly. Great customer service. Awesome place. We will be back.

Something different so I must try it at least once right?
The store had a nice selection of ice with flavors like mango and other fruity flavors.
I came for the custard and a custard is what I got. The best way to describe it was a thick version of frozen yogurt. Never had Ice custard before so I expected something different. I tried the chocolate and vanilla swirl, it was not bad. I do wish that they had other flavors to try.

I’ve always wanted to try Rita’s because it gets so much hype, but I was disappointed. I guess it depends on your taste, but I can’t handle too much sweetness. I ordered vanilla custard with mango ice (their top seller). The first spoonful was enjoyable, but it was just too much after that. Frozen custard has a very thick consistency. Think… THICK slightly frozen whipped cream. The mango ice was good, but also too sweet for my liking.
The customer service is on point and the spot is new and well-​kept, but I’m just not into it :(
