I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Robin Wedberg. Her consulting practice for bio-​identical hormone replacement therapy has restored my quality of life! When I first went to see her, I was suffering from extreme fatigue, irritability, weight gain, hot flashes, and had significant problems sleeping. Over the course of several months of treatment with bio identical hormones, my hot flashes ceased, and I was able to sleep much better, which reduced the irritability and restored my interest in and ability to exercise. Dr. Wedberg is not only a highly experienced health care practitioner, she is also a very kind and compassionate human being who listens intently and truly understands what it is like to not feel well. She has also been very prompt in keeping appointments and calling with test results. I am very grateful for her help and expertise.

I’m a new patient there, and it seems like they don’t do lab work or hands-​on procedures there anymore, as I just went in for a consultation about hormone replacement therapy. She asked the appropriate questions and gave me a lab slip to get blood drawn at an outside lab, then called in a prescription based on the test results. There are two inconveniences. First, they don’t take insurance, so you have to bill your own. Second, as far as I know so far, they don’t communicate by email (but lots of docs don’t yet). But I’m happy with the service anyway, Dr. Wedberg seems to be very caring, and I feel like she knows her stuff. Everyone at the front desk has been very helpful.

They’ve changed the clinic basically to only cater to women going through the «change.» So if you just want a yearly checkup you’ll have to go elsewhere. They informed me of this through the mail explaining that they sent my records to some other place that doesn’t even take my insurance… thanks, that was pointless.
The main receptionist (I’m sure she’s still there) is incredibly rude. The NP had called me about something, I had bad phone reception so I said I will call her back in like 5 seconds on a landline. Literally 5-​seconds later the receptionist refuses to transfer me to her because she’s «with a patient.» I could not believe her, she got her on the phone once I told her how ridiculous they were and that I wasn’t going to go there anymore.
I’ve never seen the doctor myself. But just be warned about the receptionist… she seems to have a knack for pissing people off.

I love going to see Dr. Wedberg!!! Her staff is so professional and so courteous. Her office just oozes zen feelings! She is also very smart, polite, kind and up to date on medical advances. Am almost looking forward to my next visit!

The people at the front desk have done it again. I will not be going here anymore! I had an appointment and a reminder card written from them and they never called to remind me of my appointment or to call and say that they would be CLOSED on the day of my appointment. I drove all the way there to find the door locked! Totally unprofessional. This place is run like a zoo at the front desk.

I switched to a different doctor because I thought the receptionist was so rude. I could literally feel my blood pressure rise every time I had to deal with her, and it’s just not worth it.
Marci (Dr. Wedberg’s PA) is very nice in addition to the medical assistant that took my vitals. I personally did not like Dr. Wedberg, but I’m sure she knows her stuff because she was recommended by my primary care physician (who I have tremendous respect for).
My overall impression is that the quality of medical care here is very good, but the attitude and behavior of the receptionist drove me away after only 3 or 4 visits.

I’ve only been seen by Marci as well and she is the greatest! She is so personable and makes you feel absolutely comfortable in a situation that could really be anything but. On my second visit, Marci remembered details about me that she didn’t have to, but really made me feel like she was paying attention and cared. She takes the time to discuss my options and I feel like I really have gotten a lot out of my visits. I don’t feel rushed as I have with other offices.
Waiting time is about average for a doctor’s visit, parking is easy and so is getting an appointment.
I highly recommend this office if you’re on the lookout for a new lady doctor :)

Beware of this office. The office staff has no digression (announcing I needed to give a urine sample in front of several people in the waiting room) and is rude (called and told me the wrong time for my appointment and then snottily denied it until I played the message back to her), there is a lot of unnecessary tests routinely ordered, my medication was totally messed up and the new doctor I went to was surprised at the regimen I was on, I had an endometrial biopsy which another doctor said I should have received an anesthetic for which was THE most painful experience I ever had. Robin Wedburg was not my doctor. the nurse practitioner was who I saw.

I also have never been seen by Dr. Wedberg, but Marci (the nurse) is FANTASTIC and has always been able to service any need I have had (birth control prescriptions, annual exam, etc.). Marci is super easy to talk to, has a great demeanor that makes you feel comfortable in one of the most uncomfortable situations. The front receptionist is amazing as well (I don’t know her name, but she has red hair). She knows the priority of calls over in-​person patients and ensures each visit is in and out and that you are seen no time.
Unlike the other review I have on Unilocal for another gynecologist in San Diego, this office comfortable (versus sterile), clean, and the staff is more than capable to facilitate a great overall visit.

Great place! Marci is always calm and friendly and i am always in and out of there within 30mins. i highly recommend.

I recently tried out this office and I thought it was very professional and friendly. The staff is nice and having a nice girl Doctor examine you and be professional about it is great! I have had a few OB doctors and this one is by far the best. If you want to feel comfortable and have a professional experience try this place out!

I went here a couple of weeks ago (September 2009) and had a great experience. Going to the gynecologist is never easy, but this office made it seem not so terrible. The staff was incredibly friendly, the office was personal and clean, and Nurse Practitioner Marcy Thornton was fantastic. She made me comfortable as well as answering all of my questions and concerns. Since I just moved to San Diego in June, it is such a relief to know I have such a great gynecologist (and with my first try). I 100% recommend this practice.

Guys have it fairly easy. For one, you don’t have to worry about «Annual Check Up Time,» which hardly can every be described as a «fun day» for us ladies.
I’ve been a patient at Dr. Wedberg’s office for three years now, and I’m glad I made the switch from Planned Parenthood, where wait times are at a hair-​pulling 3 hours at times (the last time I was at PP, I was able to watch Lord of the Rings for the first time and STILL hadn’t been called to be seen when the film finished).
Though I’d never been seen by Dr. Wedberg herself, Marci the RNP is a gem! She makes each visit comfortable and her easy-​going nature makes it easy to ask all the taboo questions about, well, your nether regions. She keeps a light conversation going during the exam to take your mind off of the fact that she’s poking and prodding you with all sorts of gadgets. They are very attentive to your needs. Each visit is quick, easy, painless.
The office is clean and the staff is always welcoming. And once you check in for your appointment, you only really wait 5 mins. max before you’re called. I love a place that remembers your face and name — and for an OB/​GYN office, that makes the whole visit much more comfortable. Ladies, if you’re on the lookout for a new ‘Lady’s Doctor”, give Dr. Wedberg’s office a try. Your peace of mind, and nether regions, will be glad you did.
