Rosecrans Car & Dog Wash

Took our German Shepard, Dudley, here for the first time to use their do it yourself doggie wash & loved it (including Dudley). Not only is the staff helpful & friendly but the machine was awesome! They give you the option for regular shampoo or flea shampoo, conditioner & includes a blow dryer — Water is warm too! **BRING TOWELS SINCE $ 10 IS FOR 10 MIN SO WE DIDN’T HAVE ENOUGH TIME & DIDN’T WANT TO PAY ANOTHER $ 10 :) **

Can you possibly add another couple wash areas though? :) The one isn’t enough (had to wait 15 min).

Fast and easy to use. Water was warm, must be good quality conditioner because my dogs coat is really soft.
Should have taken a previous reviewers advice and brought towels. The blower works, but her coat was very damp, not to mention she was not pleased with being blow dried.

If you are a frequent visitor to Ocean Dog Beach, you know that there is just no place to rinse off your pooch after a days splash in the ocean and roll in the sand.
We drove past on way back to our hotel and the next day had to try it out. $ 10 gets you 10 minutes, the water is warm, the nozzle is an all in one rinse, shampoo, conditioner, etc., just chose each setting as you need. Then give a good blow dry with the dryer right there! Dog wash area is gated to keep the pup put while you towel him off and get him leashed.
Takes cash or credit card!

Honestly, I only come here for the coin op dog wash. I like being able to wash my pups in the outdoors! Clean facility that seems to crank out a lot of business.

They stole my coach wallet that I left in the glove box … I didn’t know they cleaned in there & luckily I didn’t have my credit cards or anything but I did have gift cards, old ID & AAA card. So to whichever worker who stole it you’re a bitch and you’re welcome for the free stuff. Anyhow, I called to tell them what happen and they said they would look back at the videos… but I’m pretty sure they don’t care! The owner wasn’t even sympathetic whatsoever! He told me I shouldn’t have left my wallet in there. Well duh! But that’s doesn’t mean your workers should take my shit either & you def don’t blame your customers. Horrible customer service! Don’t come here unless you want your stuff stolen. Never going back & telling everyone who I know not to either. I’m disgusted

Horrible car wash. Got the diamond. The best one. Car mats were not even touched. Floor super half assed vacuumed. Everything super half assed. Just don’t go here… trust me. This is the third of a Groupon so it’s not our first time here.

Have been coming here since I moved to San Diego this past April. Was looking for an easy and convienient and affordable place to clean my pup after a fun day at the beach! This place is it! Very easy to use and great price, compared to similar services nearby. You can also get your car washed for only $ 10 if you wash your dog the same day– $ 20 for both!

I’ve been coming here since 2003, and although they have changed ownership, the outstanding service has not changed one bit. From the moment you arrive, till you get back into you clean refreshed car, the friendly staff does the job. If you want to maintain that new car shine, this is the place to go. These guys are great! My truck is has a vinyl wrap so I need a hand wash instead of an automatic wash. Unlike most hand washes that I’ve used before, they didn’t attempt to upsell me on any added services. Just «What would you like? Ok, here ya go!»
I had no idea they were a hand car wash until I drove by the rear side yesterday. The front says «100% Coin Operated Dog Wash» so I was a little confused.
If you need a hand car wash in San Diego, definitely gives these guys a shot!

Very fast and thorough clean job on my car. They are a truly 100% hand wash. FYI, they still run the car on a track system so if your car is too low they will still wash your car, just not on the regular «line» Owner/​manager is friendly, not exactly something that can be said about all the stuff but thats a non-​issue anyway. They get the work done.

Great car wash and dog spa. It’s conveniently located by my house so thats a plus. The customer service is on point. My only complaint is the waiting area. But it still a 5 star experience and I’ll definitely be back. Don’t forget to keep the monsters stocked in the fridge.

First rate service, great concept and motivated owner to really make his customers happy. Less than 20 min and I was done… The crew worked fast and my car looks great! Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because 10 min is hard to do for a wash, condition, rinse and dry a bigger and longer-​haired dog that was full of beach sand. So just remember to bring a dog brush and your own towel, or an extra dollar or two for additional time, and you’ll be fine. I will CERTAINLY be a returning customer.

What an awesome concept, I can wash my dog while my car gets washed/​clean. Kills two birds with one stone on my errand list! The dog wash is super cute self service and really easy to use, not to mention convenient (shampoo, condition, and dry all included with no real cleanup). My car was clean and looking great just as I finished washing my girl.

For the dog wash, they give you a token, and you have 10 minutes inside a little gated area w/​washing area that includes hose w/​warm water, shampoo, conditioner, and blow dryer.
This is now our go-​to spot after we’ve gone to Dog Beach or Fiesta Island and the pup is in serious need of a bath. My car is generally in serious need of a wash too, so it all works out. The owner, John, is really nice and says they’ve been in business for almost 20 years. Absolutely recommend!

When I need to get rid of that marine layer, I always go to Rosecrans Car Wash. They are great! My car is cleaned for a great price and everyone is super friendly. I am always welcomed by one of the employees with «hello sis» and the owner is super nice. Very impressed with this carwash and will not go anywhere else!

$ 20 gets you an all by hand car wash and a dog wash!
This is the best deal around. The staff Is friendly and efficient. The best part is I can save the tokens they give you for the dog wash so you don’t have to wash the dog the same time you wash the car. I save my washes for when we are coming from dog beach and give her a good wash down before we go home!
Totally worth the money, you can also wash your dog without the car wash they have different prices.

I never write reviews but I have to for Rosecrans Car Wash. I’m brand new to the area and I started taking my two labs to Fiesta Island. Living in an apartment gave me a panic attack about washing them. I’ve driven by Rosecrans a few times and decided to try it. It was awesome! Everyone was extremely helpful. It was $ 20 for a car wash and dog wash. To me, it’s not a car wash because it’s full service. They clean it while you wait or, in my case, wash my sand filled dogs. They don’t just wash and dry the exterior. I watched 3 guys vacuum and clean the interior including washing my windows. $ 20?! I don’t think you can beat it. Excellent experience and I will become a regular.

NOT just any old car wash any more. Rosecrans Car Wash is now a coin-​operated Dog Wash also. My friend needed her car washed & we had just been to Dog Beach with her pooch so Rosecrans Car Wash has a big sign on their newly painted garish blue wall that says Car & Dog Wash Special $ 19.95. I guess that got us curious so after her car got the wash treatment, out we went to a cute little white picket fence gated area in the driveway. After you shut the door behind you, you put your doggie in a big basin sink and get to scrubbing your mutt down. The dog I watched seemed to enjoy it although the day was cool and cloudy and I would say maybe a little more enclosed spot might be a better location. Any old car driving down busy Rosecrans can watch your dog get lathered up and where’s the canine privacy there?
Still I must admit to thinking this gimmick is A-​OK. I don’t know with the bad economy if lots of people can afford to spend $ 10 on a car wash so throwing in with the dogs seems like a good idea to me. Even though I have coffee stains all over my car carpet, I do enjoy keeping my automobile clean so car washes (and dog washes, by extension) are near and dear to my heart. After Rosecrans Dog Wash pumps up a privacy screen for bashful fido’s, I will bump this Unilocal up to 4 Unilocal STARS!
