Our parish had it’s bi-​annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Saturday catered by Rotisserie Affair Catering. The caterers create a total elegance… great ambience – fantastic food – hot and delicious for over 200 people.

This was the 3^rd time for us using them over the last 9 years… it won’t be our last!

Being from the South this is the closest I have came to really good Bar-​B-​Q. The staff are just as pleasant as southerners and the food takes it over the top. Everything is delicious. When they have their buffet on Fridays it is overwhelming. The selection is great and they truly know that cooking Bar-​B-​Q doesn’t mean just adding more and more sauce. While you are sitting down and eating the aroma just engulfs you and makes you happy deep down inside. They also give out free cookies and samplers of new items they are making. It cannot get any better, especially since it is right across the street from my work. Would give it 10 stars if I could.

Damn. I finally made it there again when they were open! They are at heart a catering operation who run a lunchtime café a couple days a week. It seems like every time I was in the ‘hood the café was closed. My bad luck because these gals can cook!
They have a fairly extensive menu with meats and sides. I think I could eat here 30 or 40 times and never repeat myself if I chose. Beef brisket, pork ribs, pulled pork, chicken, hot links, mmm mmm mmm. Home made potato salad, BBQ beans, coleslaw, nom nom nom.
They have very generous portions (more than I can finish) for a very reasonable $ 7.95 or get the all you can eat buffet for $ 13.95. O. M. G. I can’t do that many situps!
The are redoing the websites and the Unilocal page so for now they are open Thursday and Friday lunch until 2. That will probably change according to the very nice lady I spoke with. Maybe the café will have it’s own name so the hours won’t be so confusing. If I were running the joint, I’d get a retail space up on Miramar Road and «pack ‘em in» at lunch time.

We decided to hire Rotisserie Affair Catering to handle our wedding for several reasons. First, they came highly recommended from friends who used them for their bar mitzvah. Second, we had a tasting for the food and a second tasting for their desserts. Thirdly, my bride to be was quite nervous about our wedding day but Kevin put her fears to rest by coming to our house and detailing where and how everything would go and flow. We loved the quality and taste of the food and we altered our menu based on their recommendations. We were glad that we followed their advice. Our menu offered great variety for our guests and filled each and every need. Even though it was not included in our menu, Kevin brought one of my favorite dishes to the dinner just for me. It showed me that he really paid attention. We were extremely satisfied with their work and even more importantly our guests raved about the food AND the service. Weddings can be especially nerve-​racking for both the bride and groom, but Kevin, Terry and their staff made things easy for us. Toasts were moved from place to place, injured guests needed and got special attention, yet thanks to Rotisserie, everything flowed smoothly. One of our guests (who we assigned to be our liaison with the caterer and other service providers like photographers) has hosted a number of weddings at her home, and raved that ours was the best caterer she had ever dealt with. For our next event, we wouldn’t think of hiring any other catering company!

Picked up a Reader City Deal for a catered spread for 10 people for my Mom’s birthday. The Luau feast was wonderful. I was able to pick it all up Saturday and heat the meat for Sunday’s gathering. The chicken and pork was so tender with lots of flavor. Fruit was ripe and sweet– no green or over-​ripe stuff. The rice and salad were fantastic. All-​in-​all the food was great and my family raved about it all night. The folks at the restaurance were so nice and worked with my schedule and loaded my car for me. Will use them for sure.

Upon my first attempt to inquire about catering, a real-​live person answered my call (no need to leave a message!). I needed to plan a party for my daughter’s 9^th Birthday Party (approximately 45 people). We’d already looked on the web site and had a list of favorite items to include. Terry also helped me refine the menu to accommodate parents and kids. She was very responsive to my requests for grass-​fed beef and other organic options. As promised, the very next day, I received the detailed summary via email. Everything we’d discussed was included so I felt very confident that we were in good hands.
I’d called to confirm the details and spoke with the owner Kevin (nice accent!). He was aware of our party and we discussed the logistics and other items needed. He agreed to meet me at our party location to assess our needs in person. Excellent! Not only was he on-​time, he was early. He truly cared about my wishes and helping to make our daughter’s birthday very special. He was supportive, enthusiastic and an impeccable communicator.
The day of the party went smoothly. Their professional and friendly team arrived on-​time. They even offered to help me unload my car. They’d promise to decorate the tables in a Luau theme and they exceeded my expectations! Kevin, Yana and Anthony were absolutely delightful. They didn’t miss a beat. The timing was perfect and exactly as we discussed for the appetizers, main meal and sundae bar. It was delicious! Outside the realm of their previous promises, they also helped with serving the birthday cake and other details. The last thing Yana did was clean the floor even though the party facility didn’t require it, she left the room spotless. Above and beyond!
Overall, as the hostess, I had a wonderful time with our guests. I didn’t have to monitor the caterers — they were remarkable. All I had to do was have fun and enjoy the party!

We hired Rotisserie Affair to cater my mom’s surprise birthday party. The food was very good! Everything was fresh and delicious. We got the prime rib and roasted chicken. It came with rice pilaf, roasted vegetables, salad, and mixed fruits. The prime rib was a big hit and because of it many of our guests asked for Rotisserie Affair’s info.
Beyond the food, We were very happy and impressed by the customer service and they provided. Upon initial inquiry, Terry called and emailed within 24 hrs to provide food options and pricing. She was very through with her emails and always responded in a timely manner. We were also very pleased with Eddie, Yana, and Chelsea as they were the team that showed up for the day of. Upon arrival, they were able to quickly set-​up the food, bar, and rental items (belly bar/​tables/​chairs). They were very efficient, professional, and most of all friendly. The three of them represented the company well and really helped to make our event a memorable one. To top it off, I also got a call from the company owner Kevin. He thanked us for hiring them and invited us to visit their weekday buffet. The whole company/​team was really amazing.
Overall, the food was delicious, the service was excellent, and we will definitely hire them again!

Rotisserie Affair Catered my wedding August 31, 2014 Newport Beach. I could smell the food cooking when I entered the backyard. The appetizers disappeared as all the guests ate them. Then it was time for the main event everyone loved the tri tip, chicken, veggies and salads. We’ve heard nothing but great reviews of the food. Then of course the tiramisu, cheesecake brownies, and chocolate chip cookies came out which again were devoured. The staff was so gracious. It felt like they were part of the family. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience with this company was.

I have had the pleasure to work with Terri, Kevin and his crew to cater my company holiday party three years running. Among our 200 people, they have only given me very good comments about the excellent food and service; never one disparaging remark. I have been told it is to my credit that these celebrations have been so well received, but honestly I owe it all to Rotisserie Affair. The food is very tasty, plentiful and well-​presented. The service is personal, prompt, warm and professional. Thanks to Kevin, Terri and crew!

Rotisserie Affair catered our wedding a week ago. They really did a great job. They were professional, punctual, and went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly for our big day. There was plenty of food as well. We received several compliments from our guests about how much they enjoyed dinner. Several said it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding! We also rented chairs and china through them, and all went well there as well.
Kevin and Terry were so helpful during the planning process. This was the first wedding for our family, so we had a lot of questions, but they were always easy to reach and willing to help.
We definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for catering and rentals for their event. Thank you Kevin and Terry for all you did to make our day special for us and our guests!

I was planning a surprise 60^th birthday party for my husband. We live in Murrieta, I work in Ventura during the week, and his birthday was Easter weekend. I didn’t know where to start. Thank goodness our daughter offered to have the surprise party at her home in Norco.
With the location set, I needed to figure out how to get the food there without further imposing on family and friends in the area. I started looking at local catering companies and found lots of «Taco» guys… After requesting information by e-​mail from a few of them and getting no response other than a paypal invoice for a deposit (without even speaking to me), I ran across «Rotisserie Affair Catering» on the inet. I send them a request for more information and the next day I received a suggested menu for my event by e-​mail. It looked great, a little more than I originally wanted to spend, but was worth further investigation. I called and spoke with Kevin. I recognized his voice from the video on the website. He was very pleasant and seemed passionate about his business. He answered all of my questions and made some edits to the menu per my request. I received several e-​mails and calls over the next couple of weeks leading up to the event. Both Kevin and Terry were extremely pleasant and reassured me that the I can expect the best food and service from Rotisserie Affair.
I was especially nervous because I wouldn’t be at the event when our guests arrived and I wanted to make sure everything was set up and the appetizers were ready for the guests while they waited for the Birthday Boy to arrive.
WOW, Terry and Eric arrived on schedule, set up a beautiful buffet table and had the tri-​tip, chicken and pork loin grilling away on their special rotisserie grill. They provided all of the paper goods and beautiful table decorations. Our guests were taken care of before and after we arrived. I didn’t have to do a thing! They set up, cooked, served and cleaned up!!!
Although the service was great, the food was even better. The pictures on the website look amazing, and they did not let us down. It’s difficult sometimes to try a new business or service for the first time, especially when you are entertaining many guests. We had 50 people and did not get one negative comment. Everyone was raving about the deliciously seasoned tri-​tip and roasted pork loin. My sister-​in-​law commented that the skin on the chicken was so delicious she ate all of it. She doesn’t usually eat the skin! We had a few vegetarians who were also extremely satisfied. There were vegetable egg-​rolls, mandarin salad, grilled veges and Hawaiian rice. ALL of it was delicious.
I ended up going above my budget, but in the end I am glad that I chose Rotisserie Affair over the others. They were a class act. Thank you Kevin, Terry and Eric.

Rotisserie Affair catered a Hawaiian-​themed luau that we hosted on ⁹⁄₁. It was outstanding. The roasted pig was the highlight, but we also had teriyaki chicken, a wonderful fruit salad, assorted side dishes and tasty macadamia nut cookies.
Staff members Enrique and Terri took care of the setup, cooking, and clean up. They were delightful to interact with. In addition, owner Kevin was easy to work with and delivered on everything promised. We would highly recommend this business.

I went to a huge barbecue at a private home and it was not only catered by Rotisserie Affair, but they set up all the tables and chairs and bar area and food service tables AND tore it all down and cleaned up afterwards.
The food was all awesome! Tri tip, chicken and salmon were done perfectly on the host’s grill and held warm throughout the party without becoming dry at all. Yes, even the white meat chicken and salmon! Big burger patties and plump hot dogs were available too, though I didn’t try them.
Mixed veggies were delicious, roasted potato chunks were yummy lightly seasoned and a green salad and fruit salad were offered with dressings.
While the food totally hit the spot — especially the tri tip! — I was initially way more impressed with Jana, one of the servers who was grilling and bartending. I arrived late so everyone had eaten when I went up for my food.
Pretty blonde Jana greeted me with a «You made it, that’s so great!» in words AND sunny attitude. She asked me what I wanted, honored my request for medium rare meat and no salt at all, and when I got caught up in socializing a few feet away as she cut tri-​tip for my plate, she clearly didn’t miss anything. When I walked back to her, she called me by name — and then remembered my name and addressed me directly when she came to the bar to serve me an hour later.
Owner Kevin was there, and he made my friend (the host) feel like she could relax and enjoy her own party because he handled everything. I know he will be catering more events for her!
I didn’t get a chance to talk to the other server guy there, Scott, but others at the party went on about what a friendly, funny guy he is too. Oh, and ladies — apparently Scott is very single and an AWESOME cook. He’s a super cute, shaved head, goatee’d guy, so if you’re having an event with single women friends attending, request Scott (wink wink).
I think the most astounding thing about this experience was that a couple of hours after the party ended, I was hanging out with a few guests and the host. I walked into the backyard where 65-​ish people and tables and chairs and everything had been all night, and there was not one trace of a party. Clean grill, no trash, tables and chairs gone, like the BBQ Fairy had sprinkled bbq dust on everything and it all just dematerialized. Poof!
Oh, and they somehow calculated the food to the point where leftovers were so minimal. Sadly, because those of us who stayed over would have loved more tri-​tip for breakfast! What we did have was really yummy that morning though!

What a fabulous night we had last night! The rock fountain and bbq in my back yard were finished and it was time to party! 65 people showed up and jammed into my back yard, seated at 60″ round tables covered with beautiful jewel-​colored tablecloths.
Kevin and staff showed up right on time and went to work with no messing around. They wheeled in the 6 ft. portable bbq rotisserie that Kevin created, and pretty soon tri tip and chickens were turning on the rotisserie, and salmon was ready to grill. (The salmon was the biggest hit.) They started cooking at 3.00 so by the time people started showing up at 5.00, the smells were incredible. We started with Kevin’s delicious homemade spanakopita and spring rolls in the kitchen, and then gravitated outside to the yard for the main courses. There were also delicious roasted potatoes, grilled veggies, a huge fruit plate, bread and butter, and everything was set out on a banquet table with lovely decorations.
It was a hot afternoon but by the time we sat down it was a balmy evening and all my guests thoroughly enjoyed the event. The caterers told me that people went back 2 and 3 times! That’s what I like to see… people enjoying their food. And Kevin plans so well that there was very little leftover.
The Slavic bartender, Jana, was terrific and said she’s been with Kevin for 16 years. She poured wine and beer and soda and she mixed pomegranate margaritas.
They also brought a huge percolating coffee pot and we set that out in kitchen, along with all the desserts my guests had brought. The coffee was terrific too. They thought of absolutely everything.
Prior to the event, Kevin called several times to tell me not to worry about a thing and not to lift a finger. It really was like that: I didn’t do anything except buy the drinks. They brought everything, set it up, served the guests, and cleaned it up so thoroughly at the end that you’d never have known anyone had been in my back yard.
I can’t recommend Kevin highly enough and look forward to having catered events on a regular basis.

We had a great experience with Rotisserie Affair! We hired them to cater an open house we had the day after our daughter’s wedding. Believe me I was too tired to cook anything and entertain and they made it extremely easy for us. Food was great. The guys did a wonderful job serving and cleaning up afterwards. Everyone was relaxed and had a wonderful time.

I have given a lot of parties in the past years and I have to say that Rotisserie Affair is now the caterer I will always come to. I knew after my first meeting with Kevin that I had chosen the right company. Kevin and his staff were fantastic down to every single detail! My guests raved about the food and its presentation and how nice his staff was to everyone. I plan on having some theme parties in the future and Rotisserie Affair will definitely be catering them!

Rotisserie Affair is one of my favorites in the Miramar area. The tri tip is delectable along with the other ray of flavorful meat dishes. I have been in the catering/​restaurant business for over 12 years and critique all restaurant/​deli/​Bakerys in the local SD areas. RA is a great place to stop for lunch.

Rotisserie Affair is a truly gourmet caterer whose specialty is bbq’ed meats that are prepared onsite at your function. They catered a work event I attended recently, for a staff of 130. I was VERY impressed by the amount of food they brought, the quality of meat and fresh salads that were offered, the organized nature of the staff and how friendly they all were. They had their routine down to a science, and everything was perfectly cooked and ready for our hungry staff when the party was supposed to start.
The owner, Kevin, could NOT have been nicer. He was smiling the whole time, answered any questions people had about the meat and salads that were offered, and kept offering us more and more until we started demanding siestas from our boss. Haha.
Highly recommend for parties and corporate functions – it was fun to have them cook everything on-​site, and they were great about accomodating the vegans and vegetarians who attended as well – Everyone was stuffed and had a great time.

We used Rotisserie affair to cater a party at a friend’s house. The caterers arrived 45 min late. They didn’t bring their own serving dishes, so they took our friend’s serving dishes without his permission. They served a bad Caesar salad (almost no dressing), ribs with meat so tough you couldn’t carve it out, especially not with the cheapest plastic forks they served it with. Chicken and beef were OK. They used our friend’s grill to warm up the food and left it dirty.
The dessert was terrible: cookies and brownies straight from Von’s, gooey and tasteless, and an OK fruit salad, mostly cut melon. For $ 40/​person, it’s a rip-​off.
They were gone within one hour, leaving us to clean after them. Generally, bad service, bad food, overpriced for what they supply.

Bad Experience! and «Not good» Food at my Party.
I host at least 2 or 3 large parties each year. So, I’ve worked with caterers and know what to expect.
We hired this caterer to prepare and serve at one of my outdoor parties.
The company sent brand new and obviously inexperienced cooks and servers. First off, they came so close to party-​start time, that they didn’t have enough prep time. Then I noticed that they had an incomplete (caterer forgot to send the second sheet) task list and contract, so they had to drive around and find stuff before the party.
They did a bad job timing the food, so it was sooo overcooked and dried out, nobody ate this expensive food! They forgot some of the food, but charged me anyway.
They didn’t bring the drinks I paid for (no iced tea and lemonade) so I had to scramble for something at the last minute.
I wasn’t able to relax and enjoy this party.
Overall, very very dissatisfied! The worst thing is nobody called to follow up and there was no apology.
I will NOT use this caterer again.
