Round Table Pizza

Ordered from here two weeks ago. This location has been ok in the past and decided to give it another shot. I ordered around 2 for pick up at 4:45. When my fiancé went to pick up the order at 4:45 he had to wait 20 minutes for the food. I also had ordered 4 ranches which is .50 each. I did not receive these and this is not the first time this had happened. I am very disappointed, we were excited to have a Round Table open up right down the street. We will be ordering pizza from somewhere else next time.

Yes I like going here. So my girlfriend and I come here every so often. Sometimes not enough. We both like Round Table. We have at least a dozen pics between me and her. We love the fresh veggies on the pizza. We love the service we get here. We already know its going to be good. We get the garlic twist. She loves them. I’ll admit I like them a lot also. She loves to order them with extra extra garlic. And since I love garlic. It works well. She is a ranch and pizza sauce person. I myself like ranch but prefer BLUE CHEESE. Something I picked up in Old Chicago.
This place is not very big. There is about 40 seats including the out door tiny patio. But hey, Great things come in small packages. They have at least 3 TVs. And they have a nice little bar. They have a good selection of local beers on tap. Not sure if they have any bottles. But their selection is great for me.
So their Pizza is great every time. They are consistent. We have been here so many times. That we know what we ordering when they ask. A large King Arthur pizza. No Onions. Don’t give me grief. Not a fan. She is. So we compromise. She usually adds extra olives. I guess I’m ok with that. Better than the onions. The only thing we have to figure out is how many garlic twist we are ordering. Half order or a full order. We know that there will be left overs for tomorrow. So its dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. Unless we eat it for breakfast. I usually will have to see if any new beers are on tap before making the last decision.
There is the usual wait of making great food. But the garlic twist come out. And oh what a great smell. You can almost taste them in your mouth with that smell of goodness. Ok this is making me want to go get some Round Table Pizza tonight. But I’ll push through it salivating. The pizza is always hot. It just came out of the oven. So wait a minute. Then take a bite. I know the melting cheese and pepperoni veggies. Just the smell and it sitting in front of you. But just hold on. You will burn your mouth.
Ok last but not least. It does cost a bit more. But this is no domino or fast food pizza place. See you here. Usually in the back.

UPDATE:
Tried calling again to resolve the prior issues I had before and received the same shit service. I was even issued a VIP pass by the owner but I will not be using it because I can’t stand the thought of having to call the business again. My 2 star original review just dropped to 1.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
The pizza is good the crew is a JOKE! Ordered delivery one day with no hassle and loved the pizza but a few days later I am told they don’t deliver to my location. Loving the pizza the way I do I order anyways and opt to pick the pizza up. I was told pizza would be ready in 40 minutes (6pm) so I arrived a few minutes late as a precaution to make sure I don’t have to wait and am told my pizza will be right up. Apparently «right up» is code for 45 minutes at Round Table. As I waited I watched the 12 high school kids run around like headless chickens with no guidance or supervision. If I didn’t love the pizza so much I would give this place 1 star.
Do not order on a weekend night and if you do call just give yourself an extra hour of waiting time.

I have loved Round Table for years. This location is close by and has adequate seating if you want to dine in… or enjoy a glass of wine while waiting to carry out your pizza. Truly… Round Table has the BEST crust :-)

Wife and i have been ordering here since the first day they opened. Deliveries come proptly and correctly. There is a older woman who i believe is a supervisor or manager. She was very knowledgeable about the beer and was really friendly. My wife and go back for her customer service, dinning in is nice with her there.

Was hesitant about coming to this Round Table location due to the previous reviews. However, we are so happy that we came in! Jeremiah took our order and was very patient with us and helped with suggestions on sauce for the pizza and made sure we had our t’s crossed. Food was out in a timely manner and the team was very attentive about the cleanliness of the restaurant. Great job!

After posting my review, the owner of this franchised location contacted me and thoroughly apologized while explaining some of the challenges that they have had with this location. He was genuinely appreciative of my feedback and spoke about some of the steps they would be taking to improve employee training. He offered me a free pizza to try this place again, and so, for Sunday afternoon at home watching the San Diego Chargers, I ordered a half BBQ chicken and half garden veggie pizza. The pizza did not disappoint. Roundtable truly has ingredients that are above its competition for chain pizza restaurants. After having such an amazing pizza, we decided to order it again the following week and keep the pizza coming for some more football. The delivery was efficient, unfortunately, the order was incorrect as the sauce modification as placed on the website was missed. After we called, they quickly fixed it and delivery a new one within 30 minutes. Overall, I still enjoy their pizza, but attention to detail is key to keep people coming back again and again.

Disappointed. The staff not very friendly. Very small. The ladu who answered the phone were friendly. However, when we got there the man at the register wasn’t that friendly. Don’t know if we’ll go back.

This is a quality joint for pizza and beer. Of all the round tables I’ve been to this one is the best. Never have I ever had management like I have had when Acra is at the helm. If you want to have a carefree hospital dining experience visit this round table.

The most amazing pizza in San Diego! The closest thing to what we get in the great NW!

Like others, I’ve waited to make a review after several visits.
I love RT pizza for their unique and fresh flavors and was so excited to see this location go up! Modern clean restaurant, ok parking (park up the hill in the lot off of via las cumbres), and yummy beers. However the let down as another reviewer mentioned, is the customer service. It must be that the staff is young, but if you want to have returning customers you can’t let them leave unhappy.
I really really really want to love this place and return, but with the already pricey pizza (which I could get from my new SD faves) — even the coupons RT sends can’t get me to return.
Tip: Make sure to let them know you are using a coupon, when you order, when you walk in the door, before you pay, and after you pay. Apparently if you fail to tell them you have a coupon, it won’t be honored.

Ok ok, I consider myself somewhat of a foodie and my weakness is Round Table… I love love love their pizza. I am so happy they opened on Friars Road just wished they could deliver to the beach. Manager Teresa is AMAZING and I would love to have her work with me at the restaurants I work with!!!
I came in to pick up my order and they have a stellar line up of SD Craft beers, 10 to be exact! Waited for my pizza while sipping on a Green Flash West Coast IPA. Décor is simple, bright and clean. They really care and it shows!!!

Such a bummer that my favorite pizza place that undeniably makes the best pizza won’t deliver 4 miles away. awful customer service, I even offered to pay extra or wait until it was super slow. (I did appreciate the offer for 15% off which is why I didn’t give 1 star, but unfortunately that wasn’t possible tonight. As a business, 4 miles seems a reasonable delivery area and why discount a product when a customer would pay extra instead?)
Ordered Pizza Hut instead because they would deliver to me. It was awful.

Big 1 star goes out to these guys. The food is good, service is OK. What they lack is organization and communication. Maybe they have too many guys/​girls in the kitchen. My order for wings only took 40+ minutes. When I called, they said 10 – 15. The last 10 minutes I was there waiting, it wasn’t that busy. Huge lack of keeping track of orders. You guys lost my business!

Ordered food for delivery last night. The food was on time and tasted awesome. I usually dont like pineapple on my pizza … but this experience was delicious. The boneless chicken wings were good as well.

Fairly good pizza. Staff was pretty friendly and nice and our order came out timely. We had the cheese cover garlic bread bites, potato skins and the UltiMeat Pizza. It hit the pizza craving just right.

This is seriously one of my favorite West Coast Pizza Chains. I’m not super hip on all of their pizzas but, one in particular I just can’t stay away from.
Food– Good. I mostly come for the Maui Zaui pizza with Polynesian sauce. AMAZING! Beautiful blend of toppings with that sweet and tangy sauce. I always like to get a medium or bigger because people can’t stop with this pizza. The rest of their pizzas are just ok. I always find myself wishing I had ordered just two of the Maui Zaui pizzas.
Garlic Knots are bomb. Very good, definitely a must have add on.
Location– Great, not too far from my house. Not the closest pizza joint but, I’m willing to drive the extra few miles. It’s inside of a strip mall so the parking is very easy.
Price– pretty pricey for pizza and not the for the biggest amount really. I paid over 25 $ for garlic knots and a medium specialty. Go for the large. Also ask if they are running any specials.
Service– it was great. we picked up a call in order. Ate some of it there and took the rest to go. We had other errands to run but, wanted something good and fast and this was perfect. They seemed very friendly through out the whole process and even brought us plates when we made a last min decision to sit down and have a slice or two before heading on our way after first saying we would carry out.
Cleanliness– This is a new store and everything looked pretty clean and new.
Overall, I don’t love all their pizza combos but, def have my fav items here. Would love to venture out a little more on their menu to see what else they might have that is good. Overall if you are looking for a chain with decent pizza this is it!

Pleasantly surprised with their fluffy packed on ingredients pizza quality and fast delivery on what was a rainy night in the valley. It was still great the next day in the toaster oven. We will definitely be ordering from them again soon.

.@roundtablepizza Smaller and more modern than your typical Round Table, and clearly targeting the college crowd vs. families, which is fine with us. No loud, obnoxious kids pizza parties here. Yay!
Husband and I came in early on a Friday evening and got a large, King Arthur Supreme on original crust. Generous toppings, came our fast and hot. Was a bit pricey… $ 29 for the pizza plus 2 regular drinks, but good quality toppings, so I get it. It makes 2 meals for 2 people.
Great staff too… nice people who seem like they’re having fun.
**Suggestion to management**
Offer 2 – 3 more soda options, especially root beer (isn’t root beer kind of a default soda for pizza joints??) Also, the lemonade is a bit too sweet.

Wow! Not only did the medium BBQ chicken pizza cost $ 21.00, when we opened the box it looked like a frakenpizza. It was so deformed and slopped together it seemed like a joke. It did taste alright, but had ingredients on it that were not listed in the description online. We should have just gotten a frozen pizza from the grocery store :(Not what we expected for a $ 21.00 pizza.
