Been here about 4 or 5 time, never a disappointment. The breakfast burrito #1 is amazing, with the egg, bacon, potatoes, and cheese(that’s what the wife gets). The California is my go to and it’s awesome too. I highly recommend giving this place a shot! Cheers!

I was a little skeptical about this place at first. I read the reviews prior to going here and I absolutely agree! The speed of service was great! They have a large menu to pick from. Their chips and salsa are a 10⁄10! We ordered enchiladas and a California burrito and both were great! At the table they had a variety of bottles hot salsas! Don’t forget they have a flatscreen for soccer games!

I’ve lived in North Park for over a year. I’m within walking distance of about 4 – 5 mexican food restaurants, and have eaten at all of them. I always go back to Salsa Fiesta. I mostly pick up lunch there on a weekend, or a day off when I might be working from home. I’ve really never been disappointed. I call in my order, which literally takes 20 seconds. «Salsa Fiesta!», «Hi, can I place an order for pickup», «Ok!», «I’ll have a carne asada burrito.», «Ok, anything else?», «No, that’s it.», «Ok, thank you!» hang up. Haha. I just walk over about 10 to 15 min later and it’s all ready. It feels good to buy from a family style owned restaurant too. They take card as well, and that’s huge. I’ve had their Carne Asada Burrito, Breakfast Burritos, Fish Tacos, Quesadillas, Surf Burritos, Rolled Tacos and even their hamburger! All was good. Prices are right. Love it! Don’t let the whole in the wall entrance fool you.

Gluten/Dairy free here. Very accommodating! I always get a carne asada plate with corn tortillas. I swap the guac for avocado slices. Friendly service and delicious every time. Great chips and salsa for dining in.

Thanks Unilocalers. I chose this restaurant based on your reviews and I was pleased with my selection. I ordered the number 4 breakfast burrito(eggs, cheese, bacon, & beans). It was huge and tasty for only $ 4.31 including tax. I will definitely be back.

This review is only for the late night stand that is open weekends 10pm-2am at the storefront. Absolutely BEST late night street tacos you will find around here Thursday-Saturday night. $ 2 per taco with an AMAZING avacado salsa– do not miss out on this!

One of my favorites. I am a huge fan of the seven seas soup. There’s a lot of these tiny drive thru spots in north park, but for a classic small San Diego style Mexican food this is the jam. No drive thru, no fancy seating, to be honest it’s pretty small and slow paced. The food is always great!

I’m not a big fan of Mexican food, but I tried it because I was waiting for my stuff at Get It Clean. It was the best that I’ve had so far!

Every time i move to a new neighborhood my first order of business is to find a reliable taco shop. I avoided this place because it looked like a hole in the wall but after being disappointed by Saguaros(which everyone raved about) too many times i decided it was time. I’m here every Tuesday and most Fridays now! I haven’t had a bad experience with any of the food, but the real treasures are the Al Pastor tacos and California burritos. I’m not usually a meat eater but these are beyond delicious! The Al Pastor is tender and well seasoned, the sauce tangy, and slathered with onions and cilantro; and these are HUGE tacos! The California burritos are filled with perfectly seasoned and cooked beef and crispy shoe-string fries. My other go-tos here are the bean/rice/cheese burritos and potato tacos; both awesome runner ups. Everyone else is right about their chips — thin, crispy, salty and warm; perfect! If you dine in they give you a free basket with some stellar pico de gallo. What keeps me coming back, though, is their salsa. If a taco shop doesn’t have consistent and tasty salsa, then what’s really the point? I’m a fan of the verde but the rojo is a close second. This place is family owned and i’ve had nothing but love from the lady and guy who work Tuesdays-Fridays. I’ve also NEVER had an issue waiting for food, but then again i don’t dine in on the weekends and know that they close fairly early. The interior had gone under some remodeling over the last year but it’s been complete for a few months now and usually pretty spotless. These people are on top of their cooking and salsa game — i can’t recommend enough!

The best burrito in North Park, and the freshly-fried chips and salsa(free if you dine in) are amazing.

Wow, this place was a surprise. The entrance looks like any other taco shop and in general the place is not great but not too bad. The person that took my order and served my food was a very nice guy. The food, oh the food. It was delicious! I also enjoyed the salsas and the beans. I got the Camarones a la Diabla(Devilish Shrimp) and it was so tasty and spicy, just like its name. I paid about $ 11 for the dish and a medium agua de jamaica.

We like coming here for some late night tacos, which I think at that time they are cash only. I’ve ordered their carne asada and adobada. Both were yummy. I like how they serve grilled green onions and pepper with the tacos.

This is my new Mexican take-out place, I love it! I have ordered from here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner(is that sad?) and have loved it all meals. They have a variety of burritos ranging from healthy to indulgent, which is fun… you never get bored. I definitely recommend trying the California burrito for indulgence. But I swear, their healthy burritos are good too. It’s just why not try the California burrito? Who doesn’t loves those? Their late night tacos are SO good too! You do not have to be drunk to appreciate them. The food is reasonably priced and the employees are nice too. It looks like a cash only place but it’s actually not; there is a 50 cent charge though for anything under $ 10 paid by card.

Love Salsa Fiesta. Great breakfast burritto. Also love the rolled tacos. Tons of options here. I like to call ahead for to go orders so I dont have to wait in their weird lobby area or the back area.

I don’t usually write reviews for burrito joints in SD, as they come by the dozen and they’re all equally amazing. You can’t really mess up a California Burrito in San Diego(but somehow, magically, they always screw it up outside of SD), and this place definitely doesn’t disappoint. Now 5 stars is a lot for a burrito joint. The heck? Read on to see why I think its«Woohoo!»:\ GOOD: — The small hole in the wall look worry you about space and seatings? Don’t be fooled! Once inside, the interiors open up to a big room with plenty of seatings for small groups. They have their own bathroom too. — If you dine in, they give you complimentary fresh tortilla chips and salsa! My favorite part. — I should’ve started with the food: This is the best Carne Asada I’ve had in North Park. I’ve been to Rays, Robertos #519, Colimas, and El zarape(ok, el zarape’s pretty good) — I’ve found their carne here was the best. — They have TJ street tacos! I think it was like 5.99 but they might’ve raised it to 6.99 for 5. Still good though. — Fast. The place serves you up ASAP. I’ve ordered over the phone while walking over and had it ready for pick up when I got in. BAD: — Parking. Hipster NP makes it hard to find parking for a quick grab. People park across at the laundry mat, but I don’t advise. — Early hours — if you’re looking to grub past 9, this place isn’t for you. less than $ 6 for a carne asada burrito makes my wallet and stomach happy. They have some other amazing dishes that I haven’t had the chance to order yet. From the other reviews, they don’t seem to be so bad if you’re feeling adventurous!

This is my go to burrito spot in North Park. I have tried them all and this one is my favorite. They have healthy burritos with squash and eggplant… which I keep meaning to try but I always end up with the bean and cheese with pico. It’s a damn good bean and cheese. The pastor street tacos are THEBEST street tacos I have ever had, so good! If you stumble by drunk on a Friday or Saturday they are outside and the amazing scent draws you directly to them you gotta try them! I also love the chorizo and egg burrito and the egg veggie and potato burrito. It’s always consistently good. The décor cracks me up so cheesy(ps you should finish painting that wall already) and I always get to brush up on a telemundo or whacky show on the tv while dining in. Speaking of dining in, do it because they give you hot fresh chips that they make to order! They are BOMB lightly salted, thin and crispy SOGOOD and the salsa it pretty great too.

Now, you know a place is a whole in the wall, when you walk right past it and then find yourself trying to figure out the entrance. Well, once I did, I noticed they had albondigas soup on the menu, so I went ahead and ordered a bowl with corn tortillas. They offer you some tortilla chips and salsa if you eat in which are pretty good( ). The salsa was alright in flavor and packed a mild heat( ). The soup came with all the fixings, including a side of rice to pour in, some chopped onions and cilantro, some dried chile peppers, and some lime wedges( ). The soup came with four medium size meatballs which tasted pretty good and were tender, but I could not help noticed they were not properly heating all the way through( ). The soup came with a mêlée of vegetables, including chayote, carrots, celery, corn, and onions, all which were cooked well and tasted good. However, I would suggest they back off on the salting of the soup. It could of use a little less. The soup came with three corn tortillas which were perfect for dunking and eating the meatballs. The man and women who run the place are quite nice. You order when you walk in at the counter, then proceed to the back, where it opens up a bit, have a seat and they bring you your food.

Oh man… yeah I am from Seattle and all Mexican restaurants here suck so I may not be the best reviewer for this but man this street taco joint across the street from Toronado was amazing. One of the best tacos I have ever had. Cash only.
