Business Owner

Before Kyle was an IT guy, he was not an IT guy. He sat on your side of the fence and saw all the rude, condescending and awkward IT guys making people feel bad and displaying an atrocious lack of professionalism and understanding.

One day, he said to himself, «Self– something has got to change! Somebody has to do something about this… nobody should be subjected to this abuse!»

So he set out, already being a little «techie», and learned the ways of the computer technician, how to speak their language and absorbed their customs… then spent countless hours learning how to translate this new knowledge for the average person.

Today, Kyle has spent 10 years sharing the beauty of computers and IT with others, helping them with their IT woes and doing what he can to make the world a better place… technically, that is. :)

I really wanted to love this company. They didn’t have very big shoes to fill, either, because it felt like anyone would be better than our current IT guy. Some things are too good to be true. The initial experience was great, I had originally requested services for a business I manage through Thumbtack and they replied quickly. When I first got around to calling them they scheduled a no-​charge walk-​through later that week (June 3), which was perfect because we wanted to get our network checked out and any errors diagnosed before installing new computers throughout, so we were looking to move the process along quickly. The tech came out and spent some good time, taking pictures, listening to what recommendations were given from the software we use for business to make sure it’s running fast for chartless medical records. He left the walk-​through with the understanding that he would follow up via email. I expected a follow-​up maybe within 24 – 48 hours, given how quick they had been, initially, but ended up calling to check in with them, first, late in the evening about 48 hours later. About three days after that message, I finally got hold of the manager, who said the owner had been out of town and would get an estimate to us by the 14th, but it would help to have an idea of what we were currently paying/​what our current IT guy does before they give us the estimate. So, I got the information for him and relayed it to him a day before the estimate was due in my inbox. Two days after the estimate was said to be due, I called again and spoke with I think the owner, who was very helpful in distinguishing what kind of services we would most likely need in the longterm, and told me he would have a proposal to me by the 17th. I re-​iterated that we were trying to get this taken care of ASAP and that I would need to speak to the owner of the business, and that he is only available two days a week, one of which was the 17th and that would allow me to speak with him in person about the proposal. It is now the 20th, more than 2 weeks after our walk-​through, and still no proposal in my inbox. I guess they do so well for themselves they don’t need new business because it certainly feels that way.

Great local shop for your computer repair needs. Very helpful and knowledgable people. Worked with Zack and Kyle who were excellent. Had a SSD installed on my 2012 macbook pro and it works better than ever. Definitely recommend going here first for guidance with any computer issues you may be having before going any place else. San Diego Computer Help will be added to my rolodex for sure.

A good auto mechanic, a reliable plumber, and a knowledgeable IT department are critical to a happy life. I’m 2 for 3 (anyone know a good plumber?) and I am so glad I found SD Computer Help. Alex has been out to fix 2 separate issues on my home PC and he’s great. He found the problem (s) quickly and fixed them, and took care of some other small issues (like that annoying Windows 10 upgrade window). In trying to learn as much as possible, I ask lots of computer-​related questions and he explains things in a way that i can understand rather than using the «techno-​babble» that some IT people often use to keep the rest of us in the dark. He’s funny and easy to talk with – kind of like talking with my son, except without the good-​humored snarky teasing. Zack has been professional and friendly in our phone conversations as well. Great business, terrific staff!

Found this computer repair business on Unilocal and now feel compelled to «pass it forward»… I had picked up a «scareware» on my Chrome that disabled my laptop completely. Zack and Kyle were friendly, helpful and timely. Their office is accessible and I will no doubt use their services again!

We have been working with Kyle around 4 years now. He is our go to IT person for business and personal issues. He is super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Not to mention, he’s just a cool guy which is important because sometimes he has to hang around a while waiting for programs, fixes, etc. :)
He also has a great team behind him, so far we have worked with Zach and Alex who have both been helpful and attentive. If they can’t make it to the office, many times they can remote in and do what they need to do.
I would recommend San Diego Computer Help to anyone I know, good IT people are tough to find.
*Just a tip, if you’re in the market for a new computer, Kyle can build you one that smokes any of the others we’ve had (in my humble opinion). He’s built 7 – 10 for our business (we are not using Apple). We don’t purchase them from the store or Dell or anywhere else anymore.

So we are a construction agency who just relocated to San Diego. We needed help getting our office electronics duly up and running. I was referred to San Diego Computer Help by multiple people so I went ahead and gave them a call. Within 30 minutes of the call I had Brandon come by and service our entire office. He was very quick, receptive and very knowledgable. All in all, he was in and out within an hour at a price I thought was too good to be true. I needed A computer repair guy badly. I was having all sorts of issues with my computer and what makes my situation a little unique is I have a Mac computer and I use Boot Camp and primarily use the window side, which can be a little tricky when you need IT help because I’ve had some people not even know how to work with that.
I got a hold of Zack, and within 30 minutes he had taken remote control of my computer and was starting to diagnose what the problem was. Luckily he was able to figure out that I had a few viruses which I was unaware of, and he was able to clean up my computer and get me up and running quickly. He was very professional, fast and knew exactly what he was doing. I will always call Zack in the event that I have any sort of computer issues and I highly recommend this company.

I can’t believe how lucky I was to end up at San Diego Computer Help. When my work/​only computer refused to restart and I had deadlines breathing down my neck I was in such a panic I just clicked on the first place that came up on my phone’s google search and called them. Zack immediately calmed me down (as much as humanly possible at least) and told me to come in right away. He was incredibly compassionate and definitely went above and beyond, sending me updates on my computer’s progress and eventually saving the day. I could not recommend them more and will certainly be sending anyone and everyone here for their computer needs.

i got lucky when I picked my second choice on google while searching for an IT company for my business. Kyle came to the office and did his magic. Then he came to my home and set up a new mini computer the size of a Apple TV box. Lightening fast, Chrome, everything a tower offers, but faster. After reading mos of his reviews, I have to say, I agree with everyone. SDCH is outstanding and are now my new IT specialists for my ever growing business. Kyle came to my home while my wife was at work to set up this awesome mini computer for her birthday! She absolutely loves it. We are moving to a new 4000 sq. ft. facility in a month. Super friendly and helpful. Even though I was arriving right at closing time they stayed open for me. They were able to instantly replace my hard drive while I waited and for a reasonable price. Kyle was such a knowledgeable and nice guy! I was having security issues and bugs, a slow computer he was on time/​relatable/​gave amazing advice /​is helping me to purchase my next computer (which is due soon). He gave me a few recommendations. I feel like I’d call him back just for an hour of «what does this mean?» What about when this pops up? Do I click yes or no?” And I wouldn’t mind paying for it, because it would be life-​long help to computer language I don’t speak. He’d make a great tutor.

I had the best experience with SAN DIEGO Computer Help. I had to get a new phone and although the Verizon Rep. was helpful to a certain degree, when I got home I couldn’t get into my Mac, couldn’t receive messages on my iPhone the printer wouldn’t speak to my Mac, in a few words little or nothing worked. I was devastated not being computer savvy I called a few computer places and one company told me to call SD Computer Help & they told me they will come to my place; what a relief. Kyle, arrived on time (he had another young man with him in training) he went through my list, not only fixed everything he explained everything to me as well. Kyle, is very professional and very knowledgeable. I’m so happy that I found them. I feel so much better to know I now have a professional company I can call on.

When the hard drive on my work computer crashed i was freaking out. A friend referred me to Kyle luckily. I got a new computer… he was able to pull all of my information and old programs off of my old hard drive and upload EVERYTHING onto my new computer. Totally worth it and hassle free. The guy is a rockstar and he is quite reasonable in pricing. And on top of being knowledgeable and efficient he comes out to you… what a relief. If i could give 10 stars I would.

My computer has doing been all sorts of weird stuff lately. When the fan started making crazy noises then seemingly died, I knew I needed professional help. I called San Diego Computer Help the next day after reading such great reviews, and I’m glad I did! Kyle was able to come to my place to check out my laptop the following Monday. Although my computer was pretending to be fine during his time here, he did his magic and everything is running normally again. Still, he offered for me to call any time should it begin to act funny again or if I decide I want to invest in a new laptop he said he could give me recommendations.
As a graduate student who relies on technology for assignments, I am so glad I called San Diego Computer Help. They are friendly, honest, and know their stuff. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

Amazing company. Very professional. Kyle did such an awesome job for fixing all the problem we had at our office. He was very quick for getting his job done even though there were many many different problems. He also explained everything He did clearly so even i could understand! Excellent service! Not only did Kyle fix my main computer issue, he also helped get a second computer running again and gave me advice about other computers in the house!
