San Diego Global Vision Academy

All I have to say is this school goes above and beyond for their students! The staff is amazing, and really works with the children, my son has improved in so many areas it’s amazing to see him so excited about school! I did a lot of research, and took my time in finding a school that was a perfect fit for my child, and this school is it! I’m grateful that my son is part of a school with staff that is actually interested in investing in his education!

I admit, I was hesitant at first. Its a smaller location than the public school we were used to, but they amazed us with how different they were. This is an AMAZING school!
The staff are all friendly and helpful, and the teachers are very open and communicate well with parents regarding their children. The Principal is kind and informative, and takes a hands on approach with the school and is as actively involved as the rest of the staff, if not more!
This school is everything I could have asked for and more. My 2^nd grade son’s reading skills have skyrocketed, and he loves telling me all about the things he learned on the way home from school. (This week, he was telling me about the cardiovascular system).
He loves the after school program, too, which helps with homework, and allows free time based on merit points they receive that day in class. 5 stars gets computer time, which he LOVES, and it drives him to try harder to do great in class so he can play on it.
I have recommended this school to anyone and everyone I’ve spoken to regarding education. They are actively involved with their community and having the children learn about the world around them, including right outside their door. I only gave this school 5 stars, because 10 isn’t an option! We are moving this year, and I am going to drive him to GVA everyday regardless of where in the County we move. Poway, Escondido, El Cajon, Chula Vista… doesn’t matter. I want him going here. I love this school THAT much!

My son is now a second grader and has attended SDGVA since Kinder. If you are thinking about enrolling your child at SDGVA, do it! The staff and school are amazing. Ms. Kane, the school’s principal is strong, driven, and a leader and it shows in the rest of the staff at SDGVA. I have never had such open and honest communication as I do with the teachers, office staff, & other leaders at SDGVA. My son loves his school and all the teachers he has had at his time at SDGVA. The teachers truly take an interest in your child’s success. 5 stars from me!!!

If I could give this school more stars, I would! My son has been attending there since kindergarten and is about to start 2^nd grade. He loves school! !!! What more could a mommy want? I guess that would be for ME to love the school, and I absolutely do! The teachers and staff are family! You can feel it when you walk into the room. And the students and parents are treated as family too! Incredibly devoted teachers! I love that they do Tae Kwon Do once a week! They garden too! I have completely adored my son’s teachers every year! And I know when he comes home from school, he has always had a good day and I know he’s getting an amazing education! He’s a smart and focused little dude! I’d recommend San Diego Global Vision Academy to any parent any day!

I admit it. My darling little five year old doesn’t attend here YET. She has been accepted for Kindergarten. It was HER top choice because they focus on writing and have a gardening program. Add in a newly added state of the art Science lab… and mandatory Tae Kwan Do… we are sold! While I can’t review anything beyond that, I have met several staff members/​teachers who seem really nice and helpful. I can’t wait for her to start! (I will update my review at that point!)

After moving to San Diego during the summer, one of my main concerns was where my daughter would go to school. She loved her previous school so much and I wanted the transition to be as painless as possible.
Thank God I found SDGVA about 3 weeks before school started and after a stressful search through SDUSD schools. Everything fell into place and I was finally able to exhale after picking her up on the first day and hearing about how she made her first friend!
I’m thankful for the way she is challenged here and I think she is too. She is reading more for fun and getting better with comprehension and a few other areas she had a little trouble with. She has thrived in all areas and she is so comfortable here that it seems as if she’s been going to this school forever!
The entire staff truly cares about the kids and it shows. I have nothing but warm and fuzzy feelings about SDGVA and I would recommend it to any parent!

My son has been going to Sdgva for the past 2 years. They truly teach the students about respect and critical thinking. Jadon enjoys his teachers and he really grasps the material being taught. The teachers are very respectful to all the kids and parents. They really treat us like family and understand each families individual need.

My son is a second grader at SDGVA. He comes home everyday with a smile on his face and is eager to share what he learned in school. It is a big change from the school he attended previously. The teachers are wonderful and truly care about their students and work hard to create a safe and happy environment where kids are learning so much. We are very happy with SDGVA and think it is such an excellent option in the mid-​city area or anywhere in San Diego for that matter!
