Smog check for $ 20? Best deal I’ve ever had, fast, friendly service. Definitely coming back!

The service is just okay. The prices are on the cheaper side. I went here for an oil change for my Honda Civic. After I got the car back, my steering wheel and floor mat had engine oil on it. There was also oil on the exhaust pipe underneath the car so it started to smoke. They don’t pay attention to detail. Bottom line is they are cheap, customer service is okay, but I won’t be taking my car back here.

Got a smog check here. Great deal w coupon only 20 $. And they are the nicest people. Had great conversation with a few. In and out in less then 30 min.

I own a car with 267k miles one of the reason why is because this technicians took care of it. Brakes, water pump, drive belt at 50% off dealer price. Have been coming here several times over the last 5 years. And tried others mechanics but I’m sticking to this one.

Just had a great experience with this establishment. They were super nice from the moment I got there. The receptionist greeted me as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. They quoted me a VERY affordable price, plus a discount for doing a smog check and oil change. I sat in their waiting room watching a movie and listening to them greet several other customers by name. I assume they retain customer loyalty by the way people are treated and the great prices. I was out of there within an hour. I will definitely return here for my future car maintanance needs.

Can’t beat this place for a smog check! With their coupon, I was out the door in 20 minutes for $ 20. Nice clean looking garage in the back and a comfortable waiting area, so I’ll consider them for other work in the future.

I needed to get my car smogged and found this place in one of those san diego magazines, I believe it was Buy 1 Get 1 or something like that… the price advertised was great! I called and asked if they did smog tests, asked how much it would cost and if I needed an appointment. I woke up early on a Saturday morning just to go there and get it done, to my surprise, they are not a star certified station. The ad, however, stated otherwise. There was a «state of California licensed smog check TEST ONLY» image on it… the person who helped me then said «oh yeah we cannot do this test here because we are not a star certified station» I then showed him the ad that DID say they were a star certified station. I know this might be considered me over reacting but if there is one thing I don’t like is false advertisement.

I like coming here for most things I can’t do in my car port. Oil change is $ 10 plus tax for MOST basic cars. There synthetic oil change is a decent deal too. They have a smog testing machine there but they recently only are able to do model year 2000+. A little saddened by that because it was the best deal I can get for my 1997 car at ~$ 25. They also aren’t test only but you should know that from the other reviews.

I had my oil changed in 25 minutes. My visit was during the weekday. Only minor issue, it wasn’t Star certified for smog. Vinny, however, recommended a place down the road. I would recommend this place to others. You can’t beat the prices. I will post a review when I get my axel done sometime in the near future.

These guys are very reliable and honest, had my Transmission completely rebuilt after it blew out on me. The price including labor fees were really on point. To Vinny, Bao and the rest of the Crew, I salute you… Keep up the Great Work that ya’ll do. Thanks guys!

Save Auto is conveniently placed, the employees are courteous and efficient, the oil changes are extremely affordable. An oil change only costs 10 bucks.

Great quality service that is quick and upfront about their work. Most mechanics try to get you to spend more and charge a lot for labor but Bao gave me an estimate that was cheaper than other locations.
He called me a dew hours later to make some recommendations and addressed an issue other mechanics said would cost me a few hundred dollars but he charged half! He made my car smooth and reliable again!

Awesomesauce! The guys there are courteous and do what they say they’ll do and have it done by the time they quote, no shadiness what so ever. I got a smog with cert. there for $ 20 and will be going back from an oil change and anything else my family needs.
*There is also a Carl’s Jr. and multiple gas stations down the street to kill your wait time! I drank about 6 diet cokes and made a deposit at the Bank of America also located just a short walk from the shop!

Was looking for an inexpensive place to get a smog done, I found it. Went in on a Saturday, so the place was busy. They told me to expect an hour wait, but I think it went just under that. Don’t expect anything fancy here, but for $ 24 — I can live with that.

This is a long overdue review for Vinny and the crew at Save Auto. In December of 2012 my old ride’s head gasket was replaced and a valve job was done. I am a weekend mechanic and a job such as this was far to time consuming for me. The price was very fair and Vinny loaned me a car. If your vehicle is overheating I highly recommend getting a quote from Save Auto.
The machine shop they outsource to is: Hopsing Machine Shop.
My one complaint is that they called me and told me the job was completed and when I got there and popped the hood the coolant reservoir was completely empty.
I will likely return to Save Auto.

I just had my car serviced here today and I am more than happy with the service Save Auto provided. I had my timing belt replaced and also an oil change. Not only were the prices fair and very affordable, the staff was the most respectful and honest staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Normally, I am scared to come to auto shops because I get intimidated by the mechanics. The staff did not try to hustle me into getting more done to my car. Instead, they asked what I wanted done and suggested what I should repair next.
I came into the shop at 3:30, like a jerk! I felt so terrible because the shop was rather full and busy. I was informed the service may take longer than 5 hours, and if the car had to be left overnight, I would be given a rental car. Amazingly, they were able to finish the job before closing!
Save Auto, you guys are absolutely amazing!!! Keep up the great work, and I have recommended you to all my friends!

I will be able to review the quality of their work in a few days when I get the car back.
But so far, I am impressed. I was treated with respect and politeness and somebody was there to assist me right away. They also were able to give me a quote on the spot and the price was very reasonable.
I look forward to getting my car back and finishing this review. I have a feeling they will not disappoint.
