From the first bite of the meat lasagna with their meatballs I knew I should have stopped. By the second bite I got sick. I don’t recommend this place. Even if you’re starving.

It’s been a loong time since I ate at a mall cafeteria. But after shopping at Fashion Valley Mall for a while longer than I expected(hey, they have so many after Christmas sales going on) I was starving and their slice of BBQ chicken pizza spoke to me! I devoured the whole thing and enjoyed my pizza slice very much so! They had *just* made the pizza – I got the first slice – and it was cooked perfectly. I love the crust and the toppings. This place didn’t get high reviews from other Unilocalers and had a average of 2, but I think it deserves more credit than than. My slice was $ 4.79 which isn’t cheap, but it was a big slice. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend this place if you’re shopping and dropping at the mall.

I usually love sbarro but this one just sucks. It’s true the employees are rude and have that hurry up and get out of here tone. They forgot my side salad then when I mentioned it they got attitude. I had to go back and pay for my salad. The girl then said can you take your food. I was waiting for my salad to be placed on it. She was very rude. My pizza, pasta and pepperoni stick were all cold including the dipping sauce. The side salad was hot and was full of pieces of bad lettuce. Worst sbarro I’ve been to, will never come back and do not recommend it to anyone.

sbarro used to be good. Now the standards appear to have been lowered. The taste of the food is missing that good flavor from the sauce. Now it just tastes like bland below average pizza. Go back to the old recipe from years back please!

It may seem like I’m being a B**** but every time I come here I get attitude and and first I thought it was me being rude but I was told I’m always nice going there but rude to others coming out… Well here it goes, I have gone in Sbrarro many times as its close by to home it’s in the mall and the pizza and food is yummy! Well I got attitude the last times I was there. And it wasn’t just me there were other customers there too! Wat a shame that their employees talk to customers like that! The district manager was nice but still don’t think this place should look into new employees.

It was okay. Busy… lol. I can only give feedback about the pizzas. The pizza itself is generic. Nothing overly outstanding about it. But it wasn’t horrible. Their special is 2XL pizzas for 20.00 which is a great deal considering how much it costs for 1XL pizza.(about 17.00) They say the pizzas are New York size… they are not. New York slices are longer. In other words, they need to make the pizza wider in diameter, but even with that, the deal I stated above it great! If I was buying it by the slice, it wouldn’t be a good deal. The customer service was okay. Nobody went over the top with service, but they weren’t bad either. All in all, we would probably go back again if we needed something quick to eat while at the mall.

Stopped to get son slice of pizza while shopping. Extremely slow service and had to repeat the order several times. Needs a better system in the back/more employees. Very very slow service. Pizza just ok.

I took my son here for lunch. There was a special deal with two slices of pizza and a drink for around $ 8.00. He had two slices of spinach and mushroom pizza. I had one slice of pepperoni and one slice of cheese pizza. I took a bite of the cheese pizza first. YUCK! I’ve had better frozen pizza at home than that. Then I tried the pepperoni and it was horrible too. My son didn’t like his pizza either. He said it was like can spinach poured on top. Greasy and disgusting, I do not recommend this place.

This place was nice but small. The food was good and the servant were great. The only thing i didn’t like was the price!

Man I used to love sbarro pizza in college, but this location just doesn’t cut it. Most of the time for some reason, my pizza slices come out completely burned on the bottom and they even taste burnt. I would usually take a slice to go, and eat it before work. so cant always request a non charred slice. It’s just not worth it… especially when CPK is right next door. Might as well just call in a take out order ahead of time and be done with it. It’s also expensive. why spend 9 bucks on 2 slices and a drink when you can get the same deal for 6 bucks at a local pizza place? No more mall pizza for me.

Pizza was sauce less and dry. For two pepperoni slices a soda, 2 breadsticks and a cup of marinara, it was over 11 bucks. I should have waited until after my movie and gone to Pizza Hut. I would not recommend eating here as I will not be doing so again.

Horrible customer service. I went to Fashion Valley mall with a friend after work yesterday. We decided to grab something quick to eat before leaving. I’m from NY and haven’t had Sbarro since relocating to SD, so I was looking forward to it. My friend walked in and the woman took her order a few minutes after. We were ordering separately and I was next… The woman walked away, turned back around, looked at me 3 times and finally asked, «Do you want to order anything?». I responded, «yes» and she asked, «ok, what?». I ordered the Stromboli combo and she asked«with what?». I asked her what the options were and instead of answering my question, asked«with what?» two more times. I said«nothing, just cancel the order», went to Rubios two doors down and ordered food. Unless I find another Sbarro in CA(not that I’m going out of my way to look for it), I won’t be back until I’m on the East Coast.

This place really needs to establish a system of communication between one who takes customer’s order, the one who heats up the order and the cashier. I ordered a pepperoni and a cheese slices of NY style and a pepperoni strombi. The older gentleman in front of me was asked by the cashier«What did you order?» and he replied«Two slices of pizza». The cashier then replied«What kind?» The gentleman said«I don’t know. I just pointed to the one I wanted.» Then the cashier then asked another associate«What did he order?» She eventually to the oven and took slices and asked«This one?» The gentleman said«Yeah, whatever». I wanted to say that’s not what he ordered, but I refrained as I could tell he was irritated and just wanted to get his slices and get out of there. I was next. I told the cashier what I ordered and she rung me up. But she seemed confused. She then mumbled something to another associate. I took me awhile to get my order. And when I got to my table, I cut into my Stromboli to find out there was no pepperoni, instead there spinach in it. I had to go back and tell them. The cashier then rolled her eyes and was not apologetic. This place has to get there stuff together. Mediocre food, poor customer service and highly inefficient.

I was super excited to eat here because I live on the other side of town and my local mall no longer has a sbarro. First I was disappointed because it took all of 3 minutes for someone to even acknowledge me then I asked for it in a to go box the guy seemed frustrated. The lady checking me out was rude! She first snatched my card irritated with the older lady that took a minute to pull out exact change then she seemed bothered when I asked her for some cheese and peppers. Happy my pizza tasted decent or I would’ve been even more upset,

This experience was during this year’s Comic Con week — and it was one of the more forgettable ones. I accept full responsibility though. After all, why would anyone expect great tasting mall food? My friends and I were wandering around the outdoor mall, killing time before we could pick up our badges. It’s also warm and humid and all the walking around we were doing, built up our appetites. Well, it did mine anyway. So, as we were checking out the mall, we decided to hit up the food court. A handful of eateries but Sbarro caught my eye because there was no line(there was some kids camp and there were lines everywhere else) and because I hadn’t been to one in so long that I didn’t know they still existed. Anyway, customer service was meh — new person; trainee. Maybe I’m not being very understanding but how does one need training working at what I consider one of the easier jobs one can find. It’s not like they’re cooking anything — Customer chooses, employee heats up in oven, another employee mans the register. Not rocket science. So glad the register was working because I’m sure it would have been ordeal to give me change back. The food was also meh. I tried what amounted to be a pizza rolled up, but without sauce. Lacking the sauce, it was pretty bland. If you look at my photo, looks like the ingredients are cooked separately then finished up in the bread. The meatballs were also bland. Lose the sauce and red pepper flakes and it was just some balled up meat. I can admit that I was expecting more because when I was younger, much younger, I really enjoyed Sbarro’s. This experience was another reminder to myself that my food tastes have definitely changed. When I was younger, I ate a lot of fast food as well as Sbarro. Guess I’m adding Sbarro to the list of foods I don’t eat anymore.

Don’t be fooled by their fancy name, this place Sbucks and Sbhould be Sbhut down. In a pinch for time, we selected Sbarro at the Fountain Valley mall because it had the shortest line. I had seen Sbarros at other malls but never eaten there. Now I know why the line was so short. This was tasteless mall food with a fifth order of magnitude blandness. The sweaty cheese on my pizza was not re energized by being reheated before my very eyes; rather, whatever life was left in it was cooked out and left for dead on a bed of soggy, oily, doughy crust. The toppings tasted worse than college dining hall food, and the salad lettuce was wilted. The Greek dressing was mostly oil, and the zombies working there lacked the forearm strength and opposable digits to effectively close the small plastic lid on the dressing container, rendering it a spill-bomb on my tray. My associates ordered meatballs and veggies– equally devoid of flavor. The vegetables looked like they had been steam-tray overcooked since the Reagan administration. Meatballs had the sophistication of ground yoga mats infused with cetacean chin barnacles. Seriously, the veggies were so mushy, my toddler would have complained they were too soft and he lacks teeth. The final straw was the price– maybe if my slice of misery and side salad of despair came with a fifteen minute massage from the Sephora girl, we’d be on to something. Alas, it was tasteless crap at a premium price, served on paper ware in a crowded outdoor mall with no shades seating. No back rub, either. Is this Hell? The man with the pitchfork and the bifurcated tail just nodded once, and said, «Eat your pizza, dummy.»

My original review was for La Cusina di Capri but Sbarro has rebranded it back to a Sbarro. They shouldn’t have wasted the time or money and instead put it into the food. Prime dinnertime on a Saturday night and the steam table tray of spaghetti was all crusted over. Plenty of employees there but apparently none of them wanted to put any effort into giving it a stir every now & then. The Supreme pizza was really awful, tasteless &COLD. The pepperoni still looked like it does when it comes out of the package. Appeared to have never seen a hot oven. Very chintzy on the cheese as well. The fountain soda had no syrup in it. One in our group dumped his entire tray after a few bites and went next door for a hot dog & fries. Only deserves 1 star but giving 2 because the employees were friendly.

Pros: Italian on the go! Calzone! Ohmylanta! Cheese, bread and meat! Droolific! Cons: You’re not gourmet, why do you charge like you are?! Plates and cups have the word fresh written all over… not so much, everything is reheated after sitting out for who knows how long. I love fatty food so I ate it and enjoyed it and wanted more but it was kinda cold even after being reheated, but that’s just me cuz I’m a low class eater. Employees are nice enough but they rush you through the line.

Worst baked ziti I’ve ever eaten… and it came fresh out of the oven! Pools of grease so deep that you could swim in it.
