This place is great. I couldnt live without them. I am a professional Chef, and could not work without them. They have a ton of different items, and are always well stocked. They always open another checker when they are busy. I like this, as I am typically in a hurry. Thanks for making my job easier.

Sold Smart N Final… Great selection in a very clean store. Customer service was really good, actually the best I have ever seen at a Smart N Final. Prices are pretty standard, love Smart N Finals. One thing this store suffers with is the loitering in the parking lot… people selling things, homeless people, it’s not really in the best part of town, so to speak.

You have to know your prices but you can find items reasonably priced without having to go a buy a large quantity from the Big Box Stores. Staff is always accommodating and helpful and in and out quickly for those quick last minute needed items.

The store hours on Unilocal are wrong. Smart and Final is open 6am **DAILY**. That means they are OPEN on Sunday’s. Company almost lost my business because of this little detail but called to double check.

I am going to give them plenty of stars! I have been to four other locations and this one is great! Even beating the Midway location. This store appears new because it is very clean, up to date, and awesome! Rif-raff is lurking outside, maybe. not their problem. Its the neighborhood. The isles are positioned diagonal. A little awkward, not a problem. Plenty of good stock and I would shop here again! The prices and selection are outstanding!

Finally got the chance to check out Smart and Final today, and liked what I saw. Like a Costco without the membership fee. S&F offers discounted prices on bulk goods. If you’re looking to stock up on groceries that you use frequently(Plugra butter, for instance), this is your best bet. The cashier was super friendly, and we asked her if it was always so quiet. She told us it’s usually busier, and that 3 – 5 pm is the worst time to shop, so we appreciated this insider info. We’ll definitely be back whenever we need to restock the pantry!

I actually took the time to cruise the aisles here last week and found that their everyday/regular prices are less item for item than nearby VON’s & Ralph’s special prices. The selection is slightly limited(the space is smaller than a commercial grocery store) and they do not carry but one shelf of personal items/toilettries. You do not need a club card for their sale items and the lines are typically short and quick. This is definitely somewhere to come if you want bulk sized items without having to belong to Costco or Sam’s Club.

It’s kind of like a scaled down Costco meets Big Lots. You used to need a membership to shop here, but apparently, now you don’t. I come here to shop for work stuff sometimes. They range from bulk food items, a tiny liquor selection, to bulk cleaning supplies. Nothing fancy(really, nothing) but good for buying work supplies.

I had internet coupons for buy one, get one free 12 packs of Shasta soda. The only place that I can buy it in a 12 pack is Smart and Final, so I went to this store after work. I picked up my for 12 packs and headed to the checkout. I was curious to see if they would refuse to take the coupons like the Midway store. Boy was I wrong! The cashier(Jolene) rang up the soda, and when she put the codes in the computer, they would only give me a $.45 discount. She called the manager over, and he said to just put them in as a manufacturer’s coupon. Kudos to Jolene and the store manager at the College area store. They’re much nicer than the employees at the Midway store, even without using coupons.

I was desperately in need of a personal planner and after looking at the ridiculously over priced one’s at SDSU’s book store, I decided I would get one elsewhere. On my drive home, I passed Smart & Final, I thought they would have a planner for sure. Mind you. I thought Smart & Final was a slightly cooler version of Ross… yes. Ross. Needless to say, upon entering, I looked like a stunned deer. I stopped. Froze. Wondered what the hell was going on in life. It’s a non Costco. They sell in bulk… i don’t know if i like this and i sure as hell don’t think they will have planners for sale here! I walked slowly, carefully, as if someone might jump out from around the corner screaming«SURPRISE welcome to BEVMO’s twisted little brother!!!». Man did they have alcohol up the wazoo… Beer, Wine, Hard Alcohol, you name it. After getting over my initial shock, I walked through the whole store. I strolled down every single aisle. This is what they have: — LOTSOFALCOHOL — Bulk Popcorn — Tortillas — Power Bars — Eggs — Coffee Makers — Candy — Bread — Paper Cups — Gingerale — WARNINGDONOTENTER signs — Bulk Energy drinks(Redbull, Starbucks, Rockstar & more) — Bulk Snack Packs — Soda — Milk My most favorite items included their Vast Syrup Collection: (all the one’s a coffee girl could ever dream of) — Raspberry — Mint — Chocolate — Pumpkin — Hazelnut — Strawberry — Mango — Caramel — Coconut and so on.
