The roots of the agency go back to 1972, when The Spear Agency made its mark in the San Diego advertising scene. Solid and steady, the agency ultimately evolved into SpearHall eight years later. Upon its formation in 1980, SpearHall was a low-key operation in Hillcrest with a small client roster. Since then it has blossomed into a full-service agency located in the historic Mission Brewery Building above the San Diego Airport. But through it all, one thing has remained the same — the spirit of dedication to clients through the highest quality personalized service around.

Shelly Hall became a founding partner of SpearHall in 1980 and is the current president and owner of the firm. Throughout his 33 years in business, Shelly has been in integral part in promoting a wide variety of businesses and events in the finance, real estate, sports, nonprofit, hospitality sectors, among others.
