Bought a body board, used online coupon which cashier scanned right there. Great staff in and out less than 5 minutes.

The staff here as incredibly helpful, and so very nice. Yennifer was a great help getting soccer gear for our son. I especially want to say thank you to Alex up front. He caught that we had two left shoes, and made sure we got the best deal possible. Thank you Alex!

Everyone is very helpful! I was asked about 4 times if I needed help in the short time I was there.
If you try to use the «Spend $ 50+ get $ 10 off» deal used here on Unilocal.It will say it’s EXPIRED. When I went to use it a worker said at register «it’s not even through us it’s through Unilocal». She sounded mad.
The comment really through me off & confused me because don’t you as a company make that negotiation with Unilocal?
Perhaps not everyone is on the same page about the deal at SA.
Nonetheless, she overrode the system & still gave my mom the deal. Which I appreciated.

This location is great. Always has great sales. Customer service is also great. They did not have my son’s size shoes, but the associate checked the other stores to see if they had them. He put had them out it on hold for us. Great customer service

AJ and Teddy really delivered great customer service– I needed help finding the right T-​ball items and they found the last pair of cleats in my sons size and ordered his undershirt/​sleeves with zero drama. Very helpful attitudes too. I appreciated the attention and their offers to order just what I needed in time for the first game.

This location seems to have the most helpful workers. They answered all our questions and seemed to be quite knowledgeable.

I go here when I need to get new running shoes. They have a pretty good selection. My feet are size 13 so it can be challenge sometimes to find the right size but I eventually find something I like. I also get my golf equipment here. They have a pretty good selection of golf balls and clubs. The place is very large so it is sometimes hard to find what I am looking for. Most of the sales people are at the checkout counter.
I come here about every six months or so to buy things.

Go here at your own risk. No help EVER. Getting assistance is impossible. Spend your hard earned money somewhere that appreciates it.

Recently went in to Sports Authority to have my snowboard tuned and waxed. I haven’t had my board tuned in a while so they said the diamond tune would be my best option. There was a gouge or two in the base and they said they’d be able to fix that as well. It was nice that the Tech who helped me out Daniel was very knowledgeable and professional in his work. Since there aren’t any local places in Carmel Mountain Ranch or North County really that do anything more than waxing for snowboards it worked out perfect that they tune too. Thanks Sports Authority can’t wait to get back on the mountain.

This sports authority location has the most stocked and up to date sports stuff than any other sports authority places in San Diego!
They have coupons here and there, so before you purchase anything, do your research on sports authority coupons and deals!
Customer service is always wonderful here. Most of the time, you’re greeted by an employee as you walk in. There’s always employees on the floor if you ever have any questions regarding a certain sports item.
One employee that Stood out, I believe his name is John — but he’s always in a positive happy mood whenever I stop by this location, and always greeting customers and seems more than happy to assist me and others!

I needed to get some volleyballs for a recreation league at work. They needed practice and game balls for various age divisions. I had previously sought out the necessary equipment online to start doing some price comparisons. My staff had also found a price that was exceptionally low, but would take over 2 weeks just to process a payment and then ship it out. With Sports Authority being the only major athletic store in the area, I decided to run down to see what I could get a hold of.
When I walked into the store, I was immediately greeted by one of their staff members near the front. I looked around in the store for a while, but couldn’t find the balls. I asked someone for help and was immediately directed to the area where I could find the them. I searched the display for a similar ball and found some, but they only had limited stock. I went up to the front with what I could carry since it was pretty much the whole inventory. When I got to the front, I inquired to see if the store could do a discount for non-​profits. I let him see the comparison information/​review and price for what I had found online. He said he couldn’t match it, but would easily make other offers to help bring cost points down and make it as affordable as the online store.
I walked away with a couple balls that I needed to get through the week and the shipment arrived just a few days afterward. The whole process was simple and quick. I was able to order pretty much the exact same items needed, and the office was to be able for me.

Ok I just want to take a minute & give a very special thank you to Tyler in the bike department … Im big in customer service & this was honestly the best I’ve had ever … He went out of his way to make sure my bike was safe & ready to go … This guy really loves what he does & it shows … I will bring my business to this store for that reason … Tyler again thank you my friend …

Some of their prices are a bit high, but their loyalty card is great and you get coupons and discounts and they have good stuff in their clearance section. And I haven’t run into a bad employee yet. Everyone seems nice and friendly and helpful. We’re fans.

Here’s the thing:
It’s NFL season and we’re in San Diego. I don’t expect to walk into a sporting good and/​or sports apparel store and have to ask where the Chargers jerseys are. after having walked all over the store.
And it’s time to send the 2012 jerseys over to Marshalls. It’s nearly 2014.

FANTASTIC customer service. I needed some training shoes and was shown the women’s shoes section right away. They left me on my own to peruse, but several different attendants asked how I was doing a couple times each – very attentive.
I was deciding between two Nike pairs when Elli came up and asked how I was doing and how I would be using the shoes. For mostly gym, and some outside running/​walking, she recommended an ASICS pair that happened to be 40% off and came out to be pretty much the same price as the Nike pairs I was considering, which were about full-​price (~$ 70). The ASICS pair had much better support than the Nike pair. Elli noted that Nike shoes don’t have enough support and I agree.
Basically, I ended up abandoning the Nike pairs and getting the ASICS pair recommended by Elli. (I liked the color of the ASICS pair better too!) Thank you Elli!
I had a LOVELY experience shopping here. The products are expensive, but if you get deals then you’re good to go!

I have gone here at least once a week in the past two months. There hasn’t been a time when I did not receive great customer service. The staff were constantly walking around to offer assistance or to greet.
One suggestion, though… please consider stocking items that reflect the teams you are sponsoring. For instance, we need more burgundy colored football socks for SR Pop Warner. That is all!

YOu would think the amount of times I go to this place I would be a huge fan! But this is one of those stores where you don’t want to buy anything unless it is on sale. Because if it is not on sale when you buy it, it will be the week after. But when it is on sale, it is always a great deal. Just got some killer $ 25 off $ 75 coupons thru Carmel Mountain Ranch Little LEague and got a great deal on NIke running shoes and Thorlo running socks. And a basketball hoop. And some flip flops for husband. And shoes for my son. And a Nike duffle. And… well, you get it. If it is on sale, buy it. If not, it will be.

There is a tall blonde who works at the register with a bitchy attitude.
She never said hi, acted like she didn’t want to help me; looked like she didn’t want to be there.

Not a bad place to stop for your sporting good needs. They have a good selection, and the people are helpful. The prices aren’t as good as the prices elsewhere, especially online. The reason I kicked it up to a 4 is because I got good customer service, and that’s worth something to me.
When I bought a basketball, they took it in back, and pumped it up for me so I can go straight to the court and use it. After I figured out the basketball was lopsided, they swapped it out for me with no hassle. I need sport tape, they walk me over to it instead of just pointing, even try to strike up a conversation. Minor things, but helpful.
