Great store with some of the best craft beers around San Diego! Newly renovated the store looks great inside with some of the best modern coolers which assures the coldest drink possible! The staff is really friendly and can always count on great service and can be in and out really fast! Deserves 5 stars because prices beat local stores!

This store has done a complete remodel and looks great! They carry a huge selection of all types of juice, soda, liquor, beer, candy, and tons of groceries. I stop by every so often to get some Naked Juice and a pack of gum. The guys behind the counter are very friendly and help me get out of there fairly quickly. Five stars goes to them always having anything it is that I need.

Spotts is by far one the greatest convenience store in all of San Diego County. A plethora and liquor, beer, and wine makes this place amazing. The staff is awesome. Sometimes I go by just to discuss sports with these guys! Extremely welcoming staff and very helpful. Also, they are always looking out for your best interest. You can literally purchase any type of snack in the world here too. A++

A liquor store is a liquor store and this one was no different than many I have been to. I stopped in to pick up a Super Lotto ticket, some gum, and a bottle of water.
The gum was average in price and the water bottle around a dollar with CRV and tax. The guy at the counter cool and provided small talk when I made a few inquiries and comments regarding the store. The store was well stocked with beers, liquor and wines and many other items. They have a deli inside and outside, they sport a water purifier station at .15 per gallon. There is a small parking lot out in front and street parking.
At the end, I got what I needed without a hitch, so I was a happy camper.

This store has done a complete remodel. Much better beer selection now that they have modern coolers.

The closing of Albertson’s in City Heights came as a bombshell. What are the lazy, carless beer drinkers of City Heights going to do?
There are a plethora of liquor stores in the Heights, but they are of varying quality. Certainly a crime in San Diego, the home of local beer.
Fortunately my old friend Unilocal exists.
I was able to find Spotts which has a moderate amount of decent beers. Also, it’s directly between my house and work which makes a beer run before getting home a cinch.
Yes, Spotts can do with more varieties, but it is City Heights, after all, and unfortunately we’re not yet spoiled by the enormous types of beer that those North of the 8 take for granted.
If you’re close by and you need a quality beer then Spotts is your place. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there as they don’t have anything that really stands out.
Oh, one more plus. They take Master Card something most of these dingy Mom and Pops do not.

Very reliable liquor store. Carries most of everything you might need in a pinch. Could be a bit scary for some since street people might frequent this store and the surrounding area, but the place is well kept and owners run this store very professionally. They carry a selection of food items, like bread, canned food, etc. The prices can be a bit high on certain items, but overall fair. The staff are very friendly and the place is clean and it is safe at night. Also a good place to catch up on local gossip if you are so inclined. Overall is a great place for friday night when you do not want to drive around and need some beer.
