Established in 1997.

Sun Diego Charter has been San Diego’s transportation company of choice, since 1997. Our outstanding record of on-​time performance and customer service earned Sun Diego Charter the Industry Vision Award in 2003 (presented by the United Motor Coach Association). Sun Diego Charter is locally owned and operated out of a two acre facility, located minutes from downtown San Diego.

I love working with Sun Diego Charter! My company comes into town for corporate events and I always use them to get everyone around. This trip our drivers Ismael and Leonardo were fabulous! Very nice and personable men. I appreciate the follow through of Patty and Debbie. They on top of their job and make mine easier! Great customer service.

First, let me address the courteousness and professionalism of the all-​important drivers, Jorge and Mike. Our Spanish Club group of 55±aged members decided to go to the Viejas Casino in Alpine, east of San Diego from Menifee, California. Wow! What a well-​kept, elegant bus, paralleling a limo only better because of the washroom in the back of the bus. Of course, I noted all of the easily accessible emergency exits, the sun shades on all of the tinted windows, the foot rests, the reclining seats and overhead storage, not to mention the outside, under-​the-​bus storage compartments. Flip-​down monitors to watch a little entertainment weren’t needed because a microphone was available for our up-​and-​coming, senior comics.
The laudable, smooth ride to and from the casino made for a great day trip, all for $ 5 (our group was relatively large; we took two buses). Thanks Jorge and Mike. I felt safe and secure to and from our destination.

We used Sun Diego Charter for the opening day at the races of Del Mar and it was a great experience! The bus was clean and the driver was very friendly. Very impressed with Sun Diego. I will definitely use them for any other upcoming events and would highly recommend them! The prices were so great that I almost couldn’t believe how great the service was.

Sun Diego provided 2 charter buses for our wedding guests in July. They were very responsive in booking and planning the logistics, and on-​time. The buses were clean and comfortable (we rode one back to the hotel!) and the drivers were very friendly. Our security/​cleaning deposit was refunded promptly, which I really appreciated.

We used Sun Diego Charter to take a trip up to Knotts Berry Farm with our Safety Patrol Team. The bus ride was find, with only a few hard brakes, where we needed to take hold and no one got sick, thank goodness. The bus driver was an interesting fellow. When he first gave his speech regarding safety, he was a little difficult to understand, on account English was his second language, so I had to fill in for a few people an explain what he said.
What I found interesting, was that before we left he made it clear it was okay to use the restroom in the back of the bus, so a few children did on the way up without a hitch. However, on the way home, he made it very clear no one was to get out of their seats, which meant individuals were not allowed to get up to use the restroom. We were a little perturbed regarding the contradiction of instructions, but in the long run, those who had to go, got up and went.
The bus itself was quite nice. It arrived clean for the most part and sported plenty of leg room and reclining seats. I liked the large windows for easy viewing. One thing they do need are USB ports for charging electronics.

I used Sun Diego Charter for the first time for a recent business event. The quote was about $ 600 less than another company… so I was leery. Once I received the quote via email I checked Unilocal and was still slightly concerned, so I called to see how a verbal exchange would go… see if I could get a feel for the service. It went well so I signed the contract! Easy peasy! Next, the buses showed up right on time, the drivers were super helpful and professional. I had some concerns about the venue, departing earlier then we were scheduled, etc. They gave me suggestions, and knew just what to say and do, so I would not worry. Everything went well with no issues whatsoever!

I have been using Sun Diego forever. Hands down best bus company in SD. Always on time never a scratch on the bus tires armor all’d drivers dressed nicely and very courteous. Definitely much better than my experience with sun dance and goldfield. Those companies have no customer service and every single time I have ridden on a bus not owned by Sun Diego it breaks down without fail. Definitely use Sun Diego for all your transportation needs.

My wife and I booked with Sun Diego to provide a charter bus from a hotel in Temecula to our wedding in Fallbrook. Sun Diego provided a competitive rate for chartering a 22 pax bus for 10 hours. They were flexible with accommodating our custom schedule that enabled us to use the same bus to transport the bridal party, groom /​groomsmen, and guests in separate trips before the wedding — and then scheduling 2 return trips back to the hotel at night. The driver was courteous and on-​time for our first pickup. However, he hadn’t thoroughly researched the route and had to ask our party for clarification. After that first trip, the following trips were smooth sailing. The bus itself was clean and comfortable. Overall, we were pleased with their service. After our wedding, we received a thank you card signed by everyone in their office which was a thoughtful small touch.

Fantastic service from booking to drop off!
I like to have at least two experiences with a company before I review and now that I have I’m twice as impressed! I’ve used the bus charter for a trip to the Playboy Mansion (that’s how I roll– eat your hearts out suckas!) and a limo trip here in SD. Both trips were in immaculate vehicles with friendly, personable and above all, PROFFESIONAL drivers. They were right on time and exactly where they should be and this was a wiggly group of drinkers! And they still took care of everything (and we were like trying to heard cats!). Even the person booking our trip was amazing– she asked all the right questions and took care of the whole gig.
