Swift Moving & Delivery

I was scammed by Swift Relocation Services and in my frustration, I got confused thinking this company was the same one since they are both called Swift. I was very upset that the movers did not show up or call so I Googled the name Swift not knowing there there was more than one Swift Moving companies in San Diego. When I called the «Swift» telephone number to voice my concern that nobody showed up on time as scheduled, the owner (Jim) called me back to explain that this is a different company and that I was mixing the two up. He actually called twice for clarification purposes. Even though I did not do business with his company, he had the courtesy to call right away and let me know it was the other company that had stood me up. His company is in North County. The other company is headquartered in Bonita.

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! I hired and never showed said they were on their way to the 5pm appointment. At 9pm I guess they were in their way to CHINA!!!

Why didn’t I read the reviews before calling this people. I scheduled my moving 1 week in advance, signed paperwork and everything. The day of the moving arrived they were supposed to come by at noon. I received a call saying they will be 2 hrs late. Well as the other reviewers said no one ever showed up or call or picked up the phone. Very rude and unprofessional. I planned my moving day 2 days before a trip overseas. I had to find someone last minute which did a great job and were on time after this people let me hanging

I had an appointment to move a piano, took off of work, appointment came and went and nobody showed up. I called a few times, left messages, no response whatsoever. Seems like a pretty standard thing with this clown.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE RISKS YOU TAKE USING THIS COMPANY. I confirmed with them three weeks prior and reconfirmed two days before. I called them the morning of and they didn’t answer. From what I am reading they have no showed on lots of people. I wouldn’t trust them at all with your stuff or even coming. It would have been better if they would have called the day before and said «no» we got a better offer but to not call at all to many of their clients would mean «shady» all the way!

Swift moved my wife and daughter up tp LA from Encinitas last year and it went fairly well. My wife and daughter are now moving back and I scheduled this company to do it. Jim assured me that his crew would be at the LA house at 9 am this morning. Guess what? No show, no call, no text, no answer. The sickest thing is that Jim knew the reason my wife and daughter moved to LA – for my daughter’s cancer treatments. Now they’re moving back because my daughter is in hospice waiting to die! HE KNEW THAT! What a POS sociopath!

Jim at Swift Moving told me he would be at my house at 8am. NO Showed and NO Call! I even gave him the chance to reschedule. I had read all the bad reviews and gave him the benefit of the doubt anyway. Bad Choice for me. All the bad reviews are spot on. Do Not Waste Your Time with Swift Moving or Jim Smith.

Swift Moving Company is not licensed like they advertise, so I filed a complaint with the Public Utilities Commission Consumer Protection & Safety Division Transportation Enforcement Section. The owner was criminally prosecuted and pled guilty under California Public Utilities Code Section 5133. He was sentenced 3 year’s probation and to pay restitution. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY and look at the 13 other reviews that are not currently recommended, which is grayed out at the bottom of this page.

If I could give no stars I would. Words cannot explain how mad I was. No call to say why they were a no show. Left me and my two children with a whole house to move. Do NOT use these guys they might not show up!

If I could give 0 stars I would. These guys made an appointment with us and stood us up. We have two small children and moving is a nightmare. So when you have your entire life on hold waiting for movers to get you from Murrieta to San Diego and they don’t show, you can bet that it really has an effect. They have not answered phone calls or texts from me and did not even have the decency to tell us they were not going to show up so we could make alternate arrangements. Worst experience ever. Do not EVER use these guys.

ZERO stars!!! Never showed up… BEWARE!!! several unanswered phone calls the day of our move. Messages were left and no one even bother to call back. Total disrespect for people’s time, moving can be a very stressful at times and having unreliable movers like SWIFT makes it worst… PLEASE BE CAREFULL with this company.

Didn’t show up. I called to confirm earlier in the day, no answer on their end. No phone calls, nothing. No response to my multiple calls or texts.

Horrible service, Emily is very rude and not a skilled sales person. I gave her an opportunity to tell me why she was better than another company, but she only wanted to focus on why they weren’t good. I made it very clear she could have my attention by telling me why I should use her, and instead she responded, «Why don’t you just give me a call back after you move because then you’ll know why you should have gone with us.» Extremely unprofessional, very immature. I was going to consider using them, but won’t even listen now to the pitch.
Even if a broker gives me worse service, at least they were nice and polite and listened to my needs and answered them! I’d rather pay more for somebody who is respectful.

Just bought a piano on craigslist and needed to move it. Called several companies, but they wanted too much money for moving it just a couple of miles. Called Jim, and he answered his cell phone, gave me a quote and told me they were also licensed and bonded (a big plus for us homeowners). Anyway I scheduled a time, then found out later I had my kid’s dentist that same day. Called Jim, and he said no problem to reschedule the move another day. I called Jim the same day of the move to confirm, said he was already filling his truck and heading out. Anyway he showed up when he did, along with his dad! Rather than not showing up or skipping out because his partner didn’t show, he still kept his appointment and moved my piano. Great honest, hard working folks. I would recommend for any move!

I gave this company 1 months’ notice for my move. We had an appointment set for May 29^th at 9am. At 9:20 I called and Jim stated that he had battery problem and would be at my house in about 30 mins. I called and left 3 messages with no response. Then I sent him a text message, AGAIN no response. 4 hours later I gave up and found another company to move me. Not even a courtesy «go screw yourself, I’m not coming» text or call back. How do you run a company like this?

This company was a no show for a move — no call either. No response to repeated voice messages. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Unfortunately I have to give a bad review and I hate doing that. I set up a moving date and the company was a no show. I even called multiple times to confirm and they just didn’t answer the phone after a while. I hope the people that work here are okay and they did not miss because of an accident or other medical reason.

Very unreliable movers! Jim was very professional sounding on the phone when I made the appointment. Then, when I was standing on the sidewalk with all of my stuff ready to be moved, they were a no show. Couldn’t get them on the phone and they wouldn’t return messages. Not only was I left on the sidewalk with my stuff, I then had to start looking for a new mover from scratch. Buyer beware!

This company came highly recommended, but I do not highly recommend!
I set up an appointment for today, and it’s been an hour, and no one has shown up. I’ve left two messages and one text asking if anyone is coming, and no response. So now I have an office full of boxes… no one to move them. I don’t get it.

I put an ad on Craigslist with a budget in mind and Jim wrote me back immediately. Jim Smith, owner of Swift Moving and Delivery came to my rescue. With very little notice, he and Dave (such a cool guy!) arrived, boxes and materials in hand and got me moved in 4.5 hours. We’re talking NOT ONE box was packed beforehand. The price was incredible, they were kind, professional, on time and wonderful during a stressful time. I mean really, who likes to move?
They also do storage and delivery. I’m telling you, this is a no frills operation, but professional, licensed and insured and they will get the job done for you! Call Jim!!!
