The worst place I have visited. They have placed pots with tea hot and cold for people to sample. As soon as me and my nieces tried to help ourselves to some an attended come rushing and rudely cut us off and started making samples. The idea of having the pots out is for people to sample and buy. Well, I’ll never step foot in this place nor spend my money there ever.

I’m typically not into anything I consider«frou-frou» but ever since my wife surprised me with some tea from here when I returned from a business trip, I’ve been hooked. The ice-cold Youthberry is the perfect refreshment for that hot, sunny day, and there’s nothing soothing like a hot cup of Samurai Chai/Maharaja blend when the weather turns cold. They also accept Starbucks cards as payment which is very convenient. It can be a bit of a challenge to navigate and get an order in during their busy periods since the store isn’t really set up for that kind of traffic but it’s well worth it.

Went in here three days ago and had a wonderful experience with Justine. She was kind, helpful, and really felt like she wanted us to have a great experience. She was so great that we decided to come back today. My experience today was not like the one I had with Justine. All three of the staff members were unhelpful and seemed frustrated. I wanted to smell two different teas and it was like pulling the guys teeth. This guy was unhappy, unhelpful, and annoyed. When we asked for him to make our tea, he responded«I guess» and shrugged. The other people working weren’t very chipper and ignored us. It was not a happy experience. Give Justine a raise she was great!

I love tea over coffee and wanted to check their teas but was interested in their tea makers as well. Jessica was so patient in teaching me about their products and was highly knowledgeable about teas. I had a great experience in this Teavana branch and plan on getting my supply continuously from here. My only thing that knocked a star off is the price. Their products are amazing and high quality, but I just wish it were a little cheaper so I can get more :))

I love the Iced Monkey Picked Oolong, with the right amount of tea flavor and sweetness. I can’t wait to try another one

Whoa let’s talk about rude service. There’s like 7 people working and all of them are chit chatting with each other. We asked for 1 tea and one of the employees looked at us like we annoyed her with this order. «What was that? You want a what?» Why are you yelling me? :(She asked if we wanted hot or cold, we said hot. Asked our name, we said Brian… after waiting 10 minutes and her constantly staring over at us, she is serving other people. Finally, she comes out and says«Brian? Brian?» Yeah, still us… we are still Brian… Brings us an iced coffee. We said we ordered hot. Oh! Ok. Hurries over and in less than a minute brings us the hot and cold and tells us to keep both. Why did it take 10+ minutes to begin with and a few seconds after? The tea was alright in the end.

Not many people understand that this location is in the heart of the Fashion Valley Mall, so they see a ton of newbies and expert customers asking them tons of questions. So since your bum stinks like the rest of us, calm down because they are human like you and I. Yes their prices are expensive. Yes Starbucks sells you $ 4 coffee when you can go to 7 – 11 and get it for $ 1.25. It just grinds my gears when people can’t respect a sales rep who is trying to make a living on his minimum wage job and those with a salary say the store, tea, and service is crap. I’m a new tea drinker and maybe haven’t had the best tea, that was grown once a year, from a remote mountain, with prefect climate, that when brewed, that almost cures cancer, but this place is not bad. If you are a tea junkie and need your fix, look for Sunny. He has been working there for over 4 years now and he has great people skills as well as product knowledge. I came in looking for a tea they had on display and left with another tin of seasonal blooming tea.

This is my updated review since the Starbucks acquisition of Teavana Huge overall improvement in customer service and products. Prices are still high but to be fair they have lots of items marked down so it’s possible to get some reasonably priced items here, I recommend you try the tea samples don’t be timid, drink up. A word of caution about the sample your drinking they commonly brew the in-store tea samples with twice the recommended amount of tea and with added sweetener, it’s going to taste amazing with this in mind check out the sale items, you just might find something or taste something you can’t pass up.

It’s mediocre mass produced tea. It’s not ten ren but it’s convenient. The staff is decent for a mall location. Store is tiny and poorly laid out so effective customer service must be difficult, while waiting for our iced tea we had to be asked to move like 30 times by other customers and the staff alike because of the poor layout.

I’ve owned my own business for 30+ years, and it’s all about building relationships. The manager Sonny, and assistant manager Jessica understand this business truth. I always leave with a little more knowledge and the feeling like they are glad to see me. This is how to build a loyal customer base. I now call before I visit and make a purchase to see if either one of them are working that day. They make the Teavana trip worth my time!

I love all the sample teas. You can drink them while you shop. You can order tea to go. The service is exceptional. The people there are really helpful. They say hi to everyone. The teas are high grade quality. Please visit Teavana in the Fashion Valley Mall.

Normally I enjoy stopping in Teavana, especially when I have a sore throat because they have great suggestions and concoct a soothing drink. I was completely shocked today. I walked in and was initially greeted and told to sample new flavors. Even though I knew what I was planning on ordering, I walked around for a minute and then waited at the counter to place my order. One salesperson was assisting a customer and another person was moving boxes. So I waited, which is fine. However when two women walked in and up to the counter right next to me, the salesperson standing at entrance immediately ran up to the register and asked what they would like, etc. I made eye contact with her and gave a confused look because I was perplexed by what was happening. It was clear I had been waiting for a good 5 minutes to order and if I had been given some kind of acknowledgement or ‘sorry, be right with you’ as the other two women placed their order, I wouldn’t have felt as worthless as a customer. I work in customer service and understand things gets crazy, but I felt very unwanted as a customer and will NOT be returning. I wish I could’ve thought of something to say at the time, but instead turned & left — embarrassed to clearly be the secondary customer. Teavana has lost a consistent customer. Not that they would care.

Love love love their tea. The staff are friendly, helpful, and totally awesome! This place is a must go if you are a tea addict. Only downside is that it is a little pricey, but the tea and sugar are totally natural and non GMO which is fantastic !!! To be perfectly fair I am adding this addendum to my review. The rock sugar does come from sugar beets, which are one of the most GMO crops out there. I was told that the rock sugar is natural and non gmo, and all of my research shows the controversy about pesticides and GMOs over a year ago. That being said, I for now, will take the employees word on the GMO and be optimistic. Especially since I am not in a position to grow my own sugar and teas. Also, since switching the sugar in our tea, my mom’s blood sugar(she is a type 2 diabetic) has actually come down quite a bit. 8÷11÷14

Gah, what happened in a matter of five minutes in this store is mind blowing, but NOT in a good way. I was in a hurry and wanted to buy some tea to pair with a cute mug I was giving a friend as a gift for turning a milestone of a birthday today. She’s not a coffee drinker, so I thought the next best thing was to get her some yummy tea. The empty tin to store the tea was $ 9.95, I probably could have found a comparable one in the wasteful dollar bin at Target, but I paid this pricey mark-up out of convenience. It was cute and the smallest size available, but little did I know that the FOUR ounces of raspberry balsamico with a limeade twist tea I opted for was going to cost $ 22.95. TWENTY-TWONINETY-FREAKIN’-FIVE. The sales gal was super friendly, but that doesn’t compensate for the THIRTYTHREEDOLLARS I ended up blowing on a tin filled with FOUROUNCES of tea. There better be some gold flakes in there for that price, I’m still floored by how expensive their tea is. I want to curl up in fetal position now, I feel so robbed. I opted not to give her tea with a gift receipt, she better like it. Lol, sorta. My take away from this Teavana experience: DON’T BLOWMYHARDEARNEDMONEYONFOUROUNCESOFTEAFOR $ 22.95. TWENTY-TWONINETY-FREAKIN’-FIVE. #friendoftheyear =P

I’ve recently been getting into loose leaf teas, and I haven’t found a tea here that I DON’T love! And the perfectea rock sugar really does a whole lot for adding sweetness to the teas, without ruining it’s flavor. Sampling the teas hot or cold, I’ve been a fan of them all. Despite the prices, I still come back. I also found out that they accept the Starbucks app! Apparently, Starbucks had bought them out! I’d definitely collect more gold stars if I was closer to this location. They don’t just sell teas by the pound/set, you can also just go in and order a tea like any Starbucks store. I love the blueberry bliss with the pineapple kona! Look out for the dates of specialty featured teas! They sample certain ones on certain dates!

Here’s the deal folks. If you want quality loose leaf tea with a wealth of variety, this is the one. Yeah I’ve heard it all before(to the negative Nancy’s below), it’s expensive, the employees annoy you, blah blah blah. If you want to go meditate and be at peace in the Fashion Valley Mall, you may want to check your medication because this Teavana is a great store with a phenomenal staff. I came in looking to buy a few types of tea, a tumbler I could bring to work with me everyday, and get a bit more educated in the tea realm. I came out with every mission accomplished and then some. The young gentleman who was assisting me allowed me to explain what I liked, and in return he provided excellent recommendations. I know when people are peddling their products and trying to reach into my pockets. This wasn’t a case of that. I knew when he asked if I was military because he wanted to give me extra discounts! Regardless, I picked up two delicious tea varieties, got my tumbler(keeps my tea warm for several hours which is awesome), got some filter bags, and walked for some of the best $ I’ve spent in awhile. Sometimes you have to pay a bit for quality, and I feel like the price of the products here are worth it. I’m sipping on some Precious White Peach as I write this to you. It’s perfect. Let the haters hate. I love you Teavana!

I’d like to be one of the first to say that this is a prime establishment for all your tea brewing, drinking or gifting needs. Although I was a late bloomer to Teavana, i’m happy to have had my first experience at this location with its staff. As a creature of habit, I tend not to like to stray far from what I know in regards to tastes but I was happy that the staff took so much time in explaining to me the tea blends how they would compliment my current flavor palate. I also greatly appreciated how intently they listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. I did not feel pressured or pushed into anything, and I think people commonly mistake overall excitement in demonstrating, explaining or giving samples as being so. Which is not a reflection on the staff. Or at least it shouldn’t be. My only gripe is that this tea is a bit on the pricey side. However, it’s a matter of convenience so, I can’t complain TOO much. All in all, from the selection of teas, to the execution of customer service, this place has yet to disappoint. The establishment is clean, the location is not terrible, and I plan on returning promptly, to see what else is new!(You should too!)
