My daughter had a terrible mess of tangles in her beautiful, naturally curly hair. To the point where a dreadlocked knot had formed. The only option seemed to be to cut it out and lose the length of hair my daughter is so proud of. However, Tema agreed to see us on a day her shop was closed. (Extremely generous) Upon walking in for the first time we couldn’t help but feel cozy and welcomed. As if you were at your own home. She immediately assessed the condition and began to perform magic on this mass of angry tangles. Amazingly she brought my little girl’s hair back to life and threw in conditioning and clipped her split ends. My daughter and I are extremely satisfied with the results. Thank you Tema for your professionalism and expertise. It’s plainly obvious that you enjoy your craft. I highly recommend this establishment above all others.

Tema is my favorite hair stylist and lashes technician! This is the best salon in San Diego, because it’s a one stop shop! She literally does EVERYTHING for hair, skin and body as she and is a licensed esthetician. She is VERY versatile and creative with different hairstyles and ideas. She has an awesome attitude and strives to make her clients happy. Ask her any questions or do a consultation because she is very knowledgeable and happy to help. She also gives great advice for how to care for your hair afterwards, so you can maintain it on your own.
Because she takes her craft very seriously and professionally so this won’t be a rushed job. She is a perfectionist so set time aside to get your hair did to your heart’s delight! But the best part is the style will last for a long time to come. Not only does Tema do hair treatments like keratin and eyelashes extensions, she is also an esthetician so she also and does facials, micro abrasions, and body wraps. She literally does it all and I will never go anywhere else.
First time customers get 20% and there are additional discounts for military and students, so take advantage of getting a good deal for a quality long lasting job.

I am totally new to eyelash extensions and I wasn’t entirely sure what I was getting myself into so I naturally had a few hesitations. Tema and her staff are personable and friendly and made my first time experience very comfortable. I wanted something more natural and nothing too dramatic and the length I got was perfect! I love my lashes. I’m addicted! I’ll be returning, but I think I am going to go with more of curl next time so the lashes open up my eye a bit more. Thanks Tema and team!
Tip: First timers, do your research and don’t be afraid to ask questions! Tema and her staff are very knowledgeable and will help you feel at ease.

I’m going to have to give the salon a one star review. Now I originally was going to cancel my appointment because I still had old braids in. Tema said that she would take down the braids, for 60 dollars extra for what I was paying for to get done. I got Senegalese twists. The twists by themselves were 180 so including the 60, it was total 240. The take down process, washing my hair and detangling all took 2 hours. Not bad. I arrived at the stop at 10:45 she started twisting at about 12:45−1pm.
I did not get home until 2 AM. I sat in the chair for 12+ hours. & that’s not what I’m complaining about. Less than a week later, I have my whole bottom row of twists gone because they came out, I have two to three twists gone in the front because they came out. I have quite a few twists that are loose in my head and are on the verge of slipping out. I asked tema for at least a refund of less than half of what I payed, which was 100 bucks. She instead tried to get me to come back in and have my hair fixed, but I’m in the middle of moving so I don’t have the time to sit for another set of hours at a time to have my hair fixed. We’ve gone in circles in the convo about getting my money back, and it’s proved to be futile. So not only was the quality of my hair being done was bad, but I can’t even get a partial of my money back.
Wouldn’t recommend for hair.

Love love love my lashes Tema did for me, I had them done once before from a different place but they bothered my eyes, but decided to give it a second try and I’m so glad I did. She made them very dramatic just like I asked and they felt good and natural feeling. Her salon is very clean and cute. She is very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable right away. Can’t wait to go back… Definitely will be recommending this place to my girlfriends.

Loving, loving my lashes by Tema!!! I went to Tema after I was unable to get into another person for my lashes. I AM SO GLAD I MET TEMA. She is very easy going and personable. We got along pretty well. I explained to her what I wanted and BAM! It was exactly what I wanted!!! I will be back for my fills! Loving, loving my lashes by TEMA!!!

2 stars because Tema does AMAZING eyelash extensions. I got extensions for the first time with her groupon deal & it was 100% worth it.
I recently got a vixen sew in that only lasted me 3 days. I had to take it out because half of my hair turned into a BIG KNOTT that I couldn’t remove so I had no other choice but to cut it out. I was in the chair from 10am-​6pm. I brought in my own hair & hair dye to match the extensions & paid $ 300. I did a full vixen sew in but realized, since I have very thick hair to begin with, the top of my vixen was way too thick & there was NO way I could style it. The vixen wasn’t what I expected it to be. I thought I could do multiple hair styles and have a really nice combed back pony hair (which is why I wanted extensions in the first place) but i couldn’t. Even my stylist, not tema but it was a different girl with blue dreads/​twists couldn’t style my hair nice enough to take a pic. I asked her to remove the top part of the vixen & she seemed really upset & Tema came out & removed it for me. So now I have HALF a vixen sew in ok. So tema charges me
$ 150 — sew in
$ 50 — TO REMOVE HALF (it’s $ 50 to remove the hair & deep condition but I didn’t get the full service & still paid full price)
$ 80 — TO DYE THE HAIR WHEN I BROUGHT DYE
I just paid for it cause I made my stylist cry and I felt really bad at the moment and I was there for so long & was tired & hungry & I just wanted to get out of there. but this was totally not what I expected and I had the worst sew in experience ever & will never do it again. On top of everything I paid for, I bought another bundle for $ 95 for no reason cause I ended up only using 2 bundles of Brazilian body wave.

Tema is truly amazing!!! I bought a groupon and this was my first time getting lashes so I didn’t really know what to expect. She gave me options to either have them thick or long, and even added more lashes because I have really huge eyes. She is really nice and her service is excellent. Her shop is super clean and has a really nice atmosphere. I will definitely be a returning customer, my experience with Tema was great :)

Met with Tema to get eyelash extensions. She was easy to talk to and she was able to give me the dramatic look I was going for. A lot of places gave me full ones but it wasn’t obvious enough so it felt pointless. I will definitely come back.

Went to Tema today to get my lashes fixed. I had them previously done by someone else and wasn’t satisfied. Tema took them off and put a beautiful set of lashes on me. I absolutely adore her. She is funny but professional and she made my lashes look gorgeous. I booked my next appointment before I walked out of the door. If you want great lashes then you need to see my girl, Tema.

Decided to treat my mother to getting her hair done for her birthday. Was referred to Tema from a friend. Tema did a great job doing my mothers braids. She gripped all of them hairs hunny. Thank you Tema!!!

I was referred to Tema by a family member of mine. I was able to call her and book my appointment very fast. Her shop was easy to find, and parking was good. Tema did individual braids, she was very nice and attentive to my hair care and need. Overall I had a great experience and I’m very satisfied with hair. I give her 5 star and would suggest her to anyone who wanted their hair done.
