Established in 2000.

I have worked at this facility since 1983, learning the business from the ground up. I took ownership of it in 2000 with the goal of providing trustworthy, reliable and competent service to our neighboring communities. I have customers that trust our business and travel as far as Temecula for service. I am a North Park native and take pride in serving my neighbors.

I am a San Diego native and have been interested in cars since high school auto shop class. While I went to college at SDSU, I worked at this facility, starting as an island attendant where I would have to reset the gas pumps every time someone used them and manually charge customer credit cards, running from island to island. My how things have changed for the better!

I am a loyal San Diego sports fan who roots for the Padres and Chargers faithfully. My hobbies include golf, men’s softball, racquetball and coaching my son’s baseball team.

My personal motto is:

Fantastic, honest and reliable service. Chris made sure our Murano was taken care of. The first time we visited was after we had been seen in La Mesa (La Mesa Muffler & Brakes) for our alternator and battery THREE TIMES (should’ve learned the first time we had to go back after alternator replacement). Needless to say, Chris figured out the problem (which I of course don’t remember what it is because, well that’s why he’s the mechanic is why) and we haven’t had to see him again for the same problem. We have seen him for smog checks, tires, battery/​alternator problems, oil changes… you name it. If we need something done to our car we trust Chris to handle it. And the price is right. Seriously, don’t take your car anywhere else.

These guys are incredible. I have a fairly new Chevy Equinox with only 20,000 miles on it. Chris at Texas Street Auto Clinic did for me what Courtesy Chevrolet and Baker Chevrolet couldn’t do. That is-​Keep my car from dying. I’ve had batteries replaced and parts of my care replaced and nothing they did could keep my car from Dying. Chris diagnosed the situation and my car is running beautifully. I don’t know much about cars and what Courtesy and Baker did to me was exactly what we all fear. You kind of know they are going to get you in a bad way but because we aren’t car experts, you don’t really know how they will get you. They got me! Chris was recommended to me by a very good friend that does finance for The Auto Connection in Mission Valley. Chris is a guy you can trust!

$ 43 and out the door fast for a smog check. Jake was a completely professional and conscientious young man. Really not something you would expect at the corner gas station /​garage. Jake explained everything and checked my tire pressure to boot. If you live in North Park /​University Heights, you need go no further. You found it.

I did my research on what I needed done on my car (brakes-​wise) and I knew the cost range and basically what the damage was. After the inspection they gave me the exact info I anticipated along with the price range I was expecting. Friendly and honest with reasonable prices, I highly recommend and felt comfortable letting them service my brakes. The guy that checked me in was Jake and the guy that called me about the inspection, the work that needed to be done and pricing was named Chris. Both nice guys.

One of the best places I’ve ever taken my car to get work done. All of the employees are very professional and friendly and they do a great job of explaining what they want to do and what needs to be done. I love this place. I trust them with my life (your car kind of holds your life in it) and I’m so glad they’re around. I am such a mess when it comes to auto stuff and they take such good care of me, my car and my car budget.
I accidentally left my brand new phone in my car while I was getting my most recent service and I wasn’t even worried about it. That puppy was exactly where my stupid face dropped it and forgot about it in the back seat. I have to say, if it was the dealership I would have demanded they bring my car out so I could get it ASAP. Trustworthy and hard working, these guys make getting work done on your car easy and painless. Thank you!!!

Everyone is very friendly and whenever I get gas at the connecting gas station they say hello and even remember my name. 5 minutes after moving to this great city, I discover that my car has Popeye status. OH NO! I ask my friend if she knows of a good shop. She says, «check out Texas Street Auto Clinic.»
I call these guys up and tell them my friend referred me and he gets me in between rain storms, in just a few hours, charges a reasonable rate, and he was as kind as he could possibly be. Not your typical mechanic bedside manner for sure.

I have had 5 instances where I did utilize their services (had them check on my tire pressure sensor light that kept coming on, they made it easier for the dealer to get the appropriate part when after some time, they found it) and, Chris the owner was quick too to remind me that they are not affiliated to a degree with Golden State Gasoline.
So props to both I say Chris, you guys do a Chitty-​Chitty-​Bang-​Bang up job!
Truth be told, this review of this business is for gas next to Texas Street Auto Clinic:

When the price is 3 cents different than ARCO, I go here in SD, adding it up I’ll take saving a $ here & there and, the gas is good quality.
They offer many other reasonably priced auto services and, are very good at what they do too.
Now the price is $ 3.41a gallon; never thought I’d see the day when I thought that was a good deal on the price of gas!
These days are sure gone for good and, gas was 33 cent per gallon!

I’ve been faithful to Texas St Auto Clinic for years for repairs on my cars. After moving into the Little Italy area I decided to give a local repair shop a try… Wrong move!!! Chris and his team of experts are efficient and effective and provide a high level on customer service. I’ve decided no matter where I live in SD these guys are worth the drive/​time. If your looking for honest repairman and a fair price… Take my word for it TSAC is where it’s at.

My father owned two shops in NJ for over 20 years.
I not only worked there for 9 of those 20 years, I also built my own first car which was a 69 Camaro, and since it ran the first time I turned the key, I’m qualified to write a review on a mechanic, though that’s not my chosen field of profession today.
That said… The owner Chris and his son Hunter TOTALLY ROCK.
The guys in the shop are ASE and Napa certified, extremely knowledgeable, beyond friendly, trustworthy and realistically priced.
If you need a mechanic, these guys are your best bet.
If you have a mechanic, consider these guys for a quote and you’ll see why you should switch over.

One I was highly recommended this place. It is a good one for me. It is about 6 month I am going here. They are originally responsible and experienced. Last week I had to rejoin my looking glass. They took for it only a little. They also too too little time. Just go and take the experience.
