The Workshoppe

l loved this workshop. I learned so much and had a great time walking around Balboa park. So much better than sitting in a room. They spent time with me working on my camera settings and explaining it to me. You would never find that service in another class. I can’t wait to take the next class. Finding a hard time taking the 102. Just doesn’t ever seem to fit into my schedule.

Took the intro to photography class with my son and it was great! Super thorough and informative. Highly recommended.

Had fun in this class… Walked around balboa park on such a beautiful day. I was taught so many new things and features for
my camera and they answers all questions that the group had. They talk human talk not photographer talk that is what I liked the most the class is 101 and and when u leave it all makes sense. I’m looking forward to going to the 102 class…

Nicholas and Don are both extremely knowledgeable about photography and give an AMAZING class for anyone looking to expand their skills in photography. If you were taking this class in a bigger city it would cost a LOT more. Its annoying to me to see someone review them poorly for not knowing the ins and outs of all camera brands. THAT is not what makes a good photographer or not. Each photographer has their own equipment that they learn — Don is awesome with Nikon and Nick is great with Canon — together they make the perfect team. I highly suggest this class to people at ANY level that want to learn more about the art of photography. You won’t be disappointed.

Took this workshop yesterday after finally getting a DSLR, I took some photo classes in HS but am so out of practice. This was such an informative workshop! The guys are really informative, helpful & funny! I found they gave so many good tips and more info than what I was expecting! Also enjoyed that they explained the settings and allowed us time to put it to practice immediately. I look forward to attending their other workshops. Highly recommend! :)

The bad things i can say about that class was that Don was walking when he was speaking and i barley could hear what he said and also i needed Nicholas help cause Don was not fa miler with Canon so it’s a little sad for a photographer…
The good thing i have to say that we got lots of time to practice during this class and Nicholas was very helpful.
The location was great but still there were lots of people around (cause it was Friday night) due that it was noisy around.

I bought a groupon for the class Introduction to Photography (Balboa Park walking tour) and figured if it was awful, at least it was only $ 49, but I was pleasantly surprised! We went over some great basics of aperture and shutter speed that gets you off auto mode immediately! I’m headed to the zoo today and am hoping to try out some of my new skills. The class was great for people with NO knowledge at all and we had people in the class from 25 – 65 so it really was for everybody. Their classes are affordable and I hope to take one more soon to up my skills just a little bit more! Taking two or three photo classss and an editing class is the best hands on tool you can do after spending so much money on a camera because it gets you away from auto which you could do with a $ 150 point and shoot. These two guys that run these classes are genuinely talented and nice people who want to help others learn their passion! Highly recommended course!

I’ve been to photography workshops that I thought were good – but then «The Workshoppe» was recommended to me by two guys I met at a competitor’s workshop. I attended «The Workshoppe’s» Low Light session, and it literally blew all the other companies out of the water. Don and Nick are very detailed, personable and just plain awesome! Lots of hands on and personalized help – they both want you to walk away understanding what was taught, so that you can go home and apply the lessons. You truly get your money’s worth (and it IS inexpensive). I’ve been to two of their workshops now, and I will be taking many more. If I could give them more than a five star rating, I would – THE BEST photography workshop you’ll ever attend!
