Tribute Pizza is hands down the best pizza in town. Matt is so passionate about what he does and truly cares about each of his customer’s experiences. There is a lot of love that goes into each pie! We have had the privilege of having Tribute’s pizza a handful of times and he never disappoints. We have had it at personal parties and at the Coffee and Tea Collective. We even ended up hiring him at our wedding for late night pizza slices. They were a hit! We are so thrilled that Tribute Pizza is opening up a location at the old North Park Post Office. We cannot wait to come and support Tribute Pizza! Thank you Matt!

We visited a few Tribute pop-ups at the collective. It’s always fantastic! Matt really cares about his customer experience from beginning to end. Meticulous! I don’t believe a confused end user who never even tried the product warrants a 1-star review, but that’s fine. It’ll keep the flood abated when he finally opens the doors to his new North Park location.

Closed! Read about this pop-up in current March/April edible San Diego and went to check it out on Thursday night(pop-up night). After waiting over 20 minutes, someone from C&TC came out and said Matthew Lyons wasn’t offering pizza there anymore. I’m a pizza fan and was willing to give the pricey pizza a try at least once. Guess it wasn’t meant to be. Please update the social media sites!

Currently Tribute is running a pop up in Coffee & Tea Collective two nights out of the week from 6:30pm «until the dough runs out». Let me tell you my Tribute story. I’m visiting someone who’s totally plugged in and hip with it to San Diego(unlike me, the latest to all games). He says there’s a great pop up pizza place he goes to often. I’m skeptical because I want to go to in n out(or something equally classy, what can I say). I am convinced otherwise and we go for pizza. Right upon entering Matt is cordial and familiar in a pleasant way. As we’re facing the eternal struggle of menu indecision, he just offers to make us a pizza. Do we eat meat? Do we like sauce? Do we like spicy? We leave it up to him. Pizza arrives. It’s wonderful. Four cheeses with mushroom and spiciness, with tomato sauce on the side if we want to use it. How did he read our minds and know what we wanted even though we didn’t? He even offered to completely remake it if it was too spicy for us. I saw him being super friendly to all the other people who came and went too, having conversations and making sure everyone was pizza-happy. Definitely a wonderful place to stop by and have a rest, a chat, and some delicious delicious comfort food after a busy day.

If I’m ever about to jump off a building please give me a Tribute pizza as a reminder of why life is worth living. I’ve only eaten from Tribute’s twice-a-week pop up at Coffee & Tea Collective(they also do catering), and come away impressed both times. The proprietor Matthew pays attention to the minute details of each pizza(I’ve seen him tell an assistant pizza-crafter to slightly increase the size of sausage pieces), and he’s friendly to boot. If a brick and mortar business is in Tribute’s future, I will sorely miss the current size of the operation, which affords fine control over every pizza that comes out of the oven. Get this while you can!

Tribute Pizza is one of the best pizzas out there. Made with local and fresh ingredients. The pizza crust is always cooked to perfection and seasoned very well. And with the added ingredients makes for one tasty and delicious pizza. The pizzas change as the seasons change but that’s what the awesome about Tribute Pizza. Yes there are some classic go to’s but the new ones that pop up are always worth a try. You might even say some are«life changing» taste as you are tasting something new for your food palette and that you will never go back to trying regular pizza again. In addition to pizza, they also create some really tasty beverages /cocktails. Highly recommend them with your pizza. Matt is very personable and always loves to chat and share things about the pizza he is creating for you. Customer service is always on point. So I highly recommend that you give Tribute Pizza a try and make it a night with great food and great friends. Follow Tribute Pizza on Instagram at @tributepizza or check out their Facebook Page for the latest schedule and menu.

I’d been searching for great pizza in San Diego since moving from SF a few years ago. some good, none great. Until I found Tribute. So much heart and thought go into every detail of these pies! Tribute is a roving establishment… so follow them! Become a groupie! You won’t regret it.
