Our relentless pursuit to showcase San Diego’s finest craft beers and premium whiskey brands is evident upon entering the front door.
The Union vibe is an endearing combination of industrial age charm and effortless sophistication, boasting impressive surroundings of rustic reclaimed wood elements and rough-hewn metal accents. The contemporary furnishings seamlessly meld refined and rustic, with contemporary and vintage.
Union Kitchen has created a menu that is an unmatched farm to table culinary experience using fresh organic herbs and vegetables, natural, hormone free beef and fresh, locally caught seafood selections. The menu is teaming with tasty surprises, combining New American cuisine with southern comfort inspiration.
Union Kitchen is open for lunch and dinner daily and we feature live entertainment for brunch on Saturdays & Sundays. Late night grooves on Wednesday through Sunday evenings with live music and top local DJ’s.
History
Established in 2014.
Union Kitchen & Tap took root in 2011 with our first restaurant opening on Pacific Coast Highway in Encinitas CA. Largely based upon the success and popularity of our award winning North County restaurant, we launched our Gaslamp Union Kitchen in May of 2014.

Manager
Erik Berkley joins us in 2014. He has been in the Gaslamp for a better part of his career and brings world class experience to the table. His passion for excellence is rivaled only by his commitment to the guest experience. We look forward to his hard work and efforts to deliver outstanding dining experiences to all of our guests.
