Sevilla Nightclub

Paid $ 15 each to get in and when we got to the «basement» there was a small crowd dancing to crappy techno music. Hardly any Latin music playing, and certainly not enough people to have fun. We went on a Friday, so maybe Friday is not the day, but I was pretty bummed out because that was not worth $ 15 each.

Sevilla Sunday let get this night started feat. Banda, Corridos, Top40, Reggaeton & Bachata! Make sure you ask for Carlo C at the bar for some of the best drinks in downtown.

It was fun lol it was a Latino paradise they were everywhere I felt like a minority being middle eastern lol. Drinks are kinda watered down sadly so it was okay the Dj was poppin tho :) my boo and i stole the floor

My review is a little biased because we got around the $ 20 cover charge this year and we only bought one drink and water bottle, so this was definitely the cheaper of the two times I’ve been to this nightclub. Last year, we had to wait in line and pay $ 20 each, but this year, there was no line and one of the ushers asked if we wanted to go in for free (what kind of question is that?!).
The DJ played a great mix of Spanish pop and Top 40 songs, which made it a fun night all around. There was a lot more hip hop towards the end of the evening, around 1am, which we took as our cue to leave. Issac bought a rum and coke for him and a water bottle for me — from what I’ve experienced, they don’t have free tap water here.
The restrooms were really clean when we first came in, but by my second visit to the restroom, two of the four stalls were clogged up and there was no toilet paper in the other two. I think they would benefit in hiring a bathroom monitor to help keep everything in order.
Overall, this is your typical nightclub. It’s not pristine clean and everyone is super drunk, so if you’re looking for something more tame and can handle without alcohol glasses, then you have to go somewhere else. Definitely a great place to go for a night out and even better when you can get in for free.

My experience there was amazing I dnt usually go to San Diego but I fell in love with this place especially with the staff very polite what caught my eye was this busser namedJuan ramirez very professional polite he knows the business definitely coming back again to this places!

Say the word «free cover» and you’ll have a group of Asians there on Salsa Night. We we’re walking down the street on 4^th of July (I know, late post!) trying to decide which club to go to and a promoter came up to us and offered to get us in for free. It took a moment to decide that we were down to check it out as it being a holiday that all the other clubs would be pretty expensive.
We were escorted down to the basement and realized that they weren’t playing the typical music we listen to — it was salsa night. Regardless, we got a few drinks, pretended we knew how to dance, and actually ended up having a really fun time there. The place is pretty small, and they have a lot of laser lights if you’re into that.
Overall, it was fun though.

Carlo is the best! Great bartender! You have to come here. Great salsa place. Awesome music! Nightclub is amazing!

Honestly, I would not give this club a 5 star rating only because the cover charge is too high. Otherwise the place is fab. Especially if you love to dance. We went there on a Saturday night and the DJ played awesome latin numbers. Would love to come back only if they reduce the cover charges :)

Really nice atmosphere. Amazing live music. And they have really good sangría :-).

The place was renovated nothing long ago it has amazing floor really nice layout and awesome music I recommended to all.

Sevilla was bumping last Friday night. Walking into the club you are hit with the bass and strobe lights. It was a little disorienting at first to try and walk around. A quick check in earned me a free shot. The bartender was a little confused at first but came back with a tasty shot (albeit light on liquor).
As the music was getting faster and the bass was about to drop we were bombarded with the CO2 cannons! It was like a total white out and the room was cooled down a noticeable amount. This happened many more times throughout the night and it was never disappointing.
There is a cover charge that can be circumvented by eating at the restaurant or knowing the right people. It should be noted that I did not pay a cover so I can’t judge the value there. The drinks are a bit pricy so it loses a star.
Will I come back? Yes, it is a great spot in gaslamp that will become one of my regular spots.

Probably my favorite place in downtown on a Saturday, good music (if you want to actually DANCE not just grind) good latin music. The drinks r overpriced like ANY other club & cover charge is like $ 20… Some people dress ratchet, they dont really enforce the dress code. I would recommend. My friends & I have been kicked out & we still go lol … Love it

Got bottle service here on May 1^st and it was okay. Reasonable prices but the VIP services were not up to par. It took an hour to get our 2^nd bottle and it wasnt even a busy night but of course we were still expected to pay the auto gratuity. Waitresses should be more available.

I went to Sevilla last month with a friend of mine and had a very disappointing experience. It was my first time patronizing this establishment but a once favorite of my friend.
Before going downstairs to the night club, we had a carafe of wine upstairs. We had to drink our glasses rather quickly as it was close to closing time for the bar upstairs. The nightclub portion of Sevilla is downstairs but on exiting the restaurant portion upstairs, we saw a very long line to enter. We decided to wait for the line to die down by crossing the street and having one more drink at another bar that had just opened up.
We ordered a glass of water and a glass of wine each before using the restroom. After some conversation and finally finishing off our drinks, we headed back to Sevilla excited and warm. The steep $ 10 cover charge on a Monday night was dampening but (after an incident at the register where the cashier charged my card twice) we still proceeded down the stairs happily enough.
We used the restroom and went out to the dance floor. In less than the span of two songs, a patron dropped and shattered his glass nearby us, splattering me with drink and bits of glass. My friend and I went to the bar for some napkins to wipe my leg off and while we were there asked for some water.
The bartender responded by holding up four fingers and presenting us with a small bottle of water. We clarified that we just needed a glass of water but again he held up four fingers and offered the bottle. My friend and I more firmly pressed that we didn’t want a bottle of $ 4 water. We wanted a simple cup of tap water. He shook his head and gestured to the bottle again. When we again expressed what we wanted, he shrugged, shook his head, and walked away.
Next to the bar was a man in a suit, who we assumed to be security. We briefly told him about our exchange with the bartender, again expressing our desire for a plain glass of water. After being asked if he could provide us with this basic request, he said he could not as he was «only security,» even sardonically turning around to show us the words «SECURITY» displayed across his shoulder blades.
At that point, we were done. We went upstairs to speak with the cashier about getting our $ 20 back since we had been in the club for less than fifteen minutes and were very dissatisfied at that point. Seeing no one at the register, we asked the security guard at the front if we could talk to someone about getting a refund. He checked the time and told us the cashier left five minutes ago and was the only one capable of performing that request.
He was actually a very nice individual and asked us what was the matter and if he could do anything to help us out and redeem our night. We told our story about wanting a cup of water again. He unfortunately couldn’t get it for us because he was stuck manning the door but he instructed us to go downstairs and ask for Chad and assured us that he would get us the glass of water. We went downstairs again and asked the first security guard we came across, a female, if she could direct us to Chad.
She said she could and asked us what was the matter. After (again) retelling our story of simply wanting a cup of water, she told me that «we don’t do cups of water here, only the bottles.» We asked to see Chad regardless, to see what he would say. She flagged him down with her flashlight and gestured to us with it as well.
After speaking with Chad, we finally got our glasses of water. We got to talking with the bartender who gave us the cups. He apologized but explained that he was only doing «what management said was policy.»
I, like many others, thought it was the law for establishments of food and drink to provide free tap water upon request. I assumed it was to address possible dehydration or the need to take medication with water and the liability issues tied to those scenarios if water was denied. I now know after researching online last night and this day that it is a courtesy and a smart business practice, but not a law. From my research, tap water costs a business less than a penny per gallon which is insignificant in its cost but important in its value. Places serving alcohol benefit greatly by providing water to prevent individuals from getting too quickly intoxicated, thus preventing belligerence and also gaining the added profit from the individual buying more alcohol to maintain their buzz.
Cheap establishment with cheap practices. Save your money. Go anywhere else.

Good Looking Crowd on Saturday night. Latin night. Bottle service was on point and djs had it krakin. Sound could be better but we’ll be back!

I had a really good time. The crowd was live, the music was really good. Everything was clean, and the décor was up to snuff. One of the few night club experiences I actually enjoyed.

I got bottle service on a Tuesday and was well taken care of, before I could ask for anything the server taking care of me was already making it happen.
Staff was on point from the door to the bar and bottle prices are affordable.
The music was salsa & bachata & a nice blend of merengue. Ill be back!

Good spot for Salsa and Bachata during the week and Top 40, Hip hop, Edm on Fridays and Saturdays. They have a lot of well known Artist that come often. I was here for The Game and popped bottles! Bottle Service is the way to go.
