We are the premier self & full service laundromat located in the heart of beautiful University Heights, San Diego. All our washers and dryers are environmental friendly, high efficiency, green machines. We can wash, dry, and fold your laundry for you or you can wash your own at this great neighborhood laundry. We now also offer eco friendly dry cleaning. Our friendly staff is always available to help you in any way they can.

Great location. Always an available washer. Nice people. This is definitely my laundromat of choice. Next laundry day come here, through in a load, and grab a coffee from Twiggs across the street while you wait. You will not regret it!

I just recently moved into the area and came on Unilocal to check out the local cleaners. I am very impressed by the service that I’ve received. As soon as my shirts were ready they called me just to give me a heads. I will be sure to return to this cleaners to get my shirts and other clothing dry cleaned. Britney is the best. It’s so wonderful to have an attendant here at this clean dog friendly laundromat. They have large capacity washer that cut your laundry come down and half its great.

Best laundromat ever. Very clean facilities, free wifi. Cheap. They even do fluff and folds. And they have free soap for you to use.
It’s not busy and they have plenty of space if it was.
Even the employees are nice. Did I mention that someone is there whenever thru are open.

Great laundry mat. The staff are very friendly and the machines work great and are always clean. The parking is spare but they have a great system for it. Close to a great coffee shop to. Normal laundry mat prices, but well worth it.

I’m here now. 6÷6÷15 afternoon. Front load washers don’t spin well so clothes come out really soaking wet. Front loaders vary in cost from 2.75 to 5.00 depending on capacity. Huge top loaders are 2.50. Inside if you want to sit its on metal bar stools. The only comfy seating is outside in the sun in plastic patio chairs lined up along the driveway. If you don’t like sun then come before 11 when this area should be shady. The people who run this place are awesome. Bathroom available with hand rails for physically challenged. Small laundry sink. Change machines. Fluff and fold service is excellent from the looks of it. Coffee house across the street. Liquor store in same parking lot. Only 4 parking spaces for laundry.

Been using this place for 2 years. It has always had weaker and stronger dryers (they never repair), but I give it a poor rating now because of a dead (ice cold) dryer – which the attendant (not the nice, old lady) refused to set an ‘out of order’ placard on. I accused her of wanting to trick people, and she had nothing to say about that.

This place is pretty good! The atmosphere is what you would expect of a coin laundry mat. It’s so awesome that they have wifi here and they are so close to the blvd. I used the biggest machine (4 load) for $ 4.00 to wash my king size comforter and a couple of sheets! The size and price were better than my previous laundry facility. It came out clean and took about $ 1.25 to dry it! It was a dead time and the attendant kept a straight face the entire time… Smile!

I thought I’d try this place out since my washer broke down and the location is a few blocks from my house. It got the job done, but the machines are the same models the laundromats had when I was doing laundry back in college 20 years ago. The place is generally clean, but there is a bit of a mildew smell in the air. Many of the machines are rusting, but thankfully only on the outside from what I could see. I wouldn’t call the place modern or fantastic, but my clothes are clean and that’s what counts in the end.

I LoVE this place and Hellen too! I always go on Monday or Thursday when there are $ 1.50 washers. I only live a couple of blocks away so its easy to throw my clothes in run home and clean house while they wash run down put them in the dryer go back and finish doing what ever else I need to do. It may not be the newest or the most fancy, but it’s clean and everything works and the people are wonderful. when ever I miss a week Hellen always notices I’ve been gone. and asks how I am. When the time comes to leave SD I will truly miss doing my laundry here.

This place is great. I came in with 18 loads of laundry the Sunday of the solar eclipse and I was in and out within 2 hours. The woman working there was very helpful when I asked about where to put the laundry soap in one of those mega loaders and she seemed very busy keeping lint traps clean and sweeping the floors.
It wasn’t cheap but I don’t mind if it means that everything is done that quickly.
It is also close to a number of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. I spent the early evening sipping Italian sodas from Twiggs and chatting with friendly folks on the street who wanted me to look at the eclipse through their own apparatuses.
I will be back whenever I procrastinate enough to deem a trip to the laundromat instead of our community laundry room necessary.

Eh… Not a bad place price wise. Parking is horrid though and the place is a bit of a dump. It got the job done so I give it a passing score but seriously howabout a little clean up and fix some of the dents and cracks.

People generally keep to themselves here at this laundromat, except when I am here! I lost count of the times a gorgeous lady would stick her badunkadunk in my face as she loaded her dirty clothes into the machine. Just before she walks out with her load of folded laundry, she drops her digits on my lap… written with lipstick on a tiny piece of intimate attire. Usually by this point of the daydream someone trips over my foot, because there isn’t much space for seating inside. I then wipe the sleep drool from my face before someone notices.
Parking is lousy here, but it is in a relatively safe neighborhood with a lot to do while you wait/​daydream for your laundry to finish.

I never did laundry outside the apartment or house before… but I had quite a bit of laundry and didn’t feel like doing it all one at a time in a small laundry room in my apartment complex. so… i Unilocaled a laundry site, and found this one. which is literally like a block from where i live. and I’m UnilocalING from the laundry site… lol… since I can get WIFI from Twiggs across the street… which BTW, I grabbed a soy latte from while doing laundry!
$ 4 for the heavy duty 3 ½ load machine, and 25 cents per 7 min for drying. total for 3 ½ loads today (which included about 2 weeks of clothes, 3 sets of bed sheets, 2 bath towels, and a bunch of kitchen towels) cost about $ 6.50. I say that’s a pretty good deal. The single loading washers are $ 1.75 a load. so it’s probably a better deal to do a large amount in the large washer. The laundromat itself is clean… pretty spotless I might say. There’s only about 4 parking spaces, but there is street parking … so try to get there early.
From now on I’m going to not do laundry for a long time and do large amts at this place! =)

UHCL is only few blocks from my house, and right across the street from Twiggs, Lei Lounge, and El Zarape.
Okay so I’m in love with my hood, and one of the people that contributes to this love is Helen, the owner of the UHCL. She’s super sweet and is always looking out for her patrons. The last time I went there the gigantic washers were all taken, and as soon as one finished, Helen went to inform the customer that was using it. I gave thanks and she told me that she had seen me waiting.
3 loads washed and dried for $ 6. Can’t beat it and I spend my time waiting across the street at one of the previously mentioned establishments (which is where I’d be anyways).
A drink, stiff or caffeinated while my clothes go round and round, yes please!
