We offer several modern cloth diaper styles and convenient additional services. No need to use pins or plastic pants, and no rinsing, spraying or dunking diapers, ever! We use commercial washing machines, minimal chemicals, high temperatures and we deliver soft, sanitized, easy to use diapers directly to your doorstep each week.

We also offer premium earth friendly products for baby and family.

History

Established in 2013.

Sarah Davis, a mom and lifelong San Diego resident, founded Simple Diaper Service to fill the need for a modern cloth diapering solution for San Diego area parents that is, above all, Simple! In her work as a licensed midwife, lactation consultant and owner of a birth center, Sarah found that most of the parents she worked with had never heard of cloth diaper service. She set out to change that by founding a diaper service centrally located in San Diego, that serves the whole county. She also found that busy parents are overwhelmed by the vast array of modern cloth diapers, so she chose to streamline and simply for families by offering just two high quality options– organic cotton prefolds, and all-​in-​one diapers that as are simple to put on and off as disposable diapers. Sarah is proud to be creating a green, eco friendly small business, by ensuring an eco-​friendly wash process with minimal, low impact chemicals, minimizing carbon footprint, and using reusable products.

Sarah Davis, LM, IBCLC was born and raised in San Diego, and was cloth diapered using a cloth diaper laundry and delivery service! Her parents spoke highly of the diaper service, and Sarah was sad to discover as an adult that there were no cloth diaper services remaining in the San Diego area. As she pursued her education at Pomona College and then studied to be a midwife and lactation consultant, she kept the idea of someday owning a diaper service in the back of her mind. After several years as a practicing midwife and owner of a birth center, she became a parent herself in 2012, and decided it was time to return to the idea of founding a cloth diaper service. While she continues to be an active supporter and advocate for midwifery and birth options for families, Sarah is now focused full time on serving the families of Simple Diaper Service.

We were lucky enough to sign up with Simple Diaper Service from the beginning. I had my heart set on cloth diapering but had no clue how I would handle that and a newborn. As a well-​deserved gift to ourselves we signed up for three months. Three months turned into well over a year. Only a sudden move could rip me from the safe embrace of my diaper fairy. There was never an issue with the the diapers or the service and my kid’s bottom was as rash free as you can get. Even when we screwed up something (as sometimes happens as distracted new parents), we were always treated kindly and respectfully and with patience.
Whether it’s for 3 months or in for the long-​haul, I recommend Simple Diaper Service to every new parent.
Let someone else who has figured it out do the work through the newborn stage and save yourself the time and effort during those precious first days.

Wonderful service! We were in town for a conference and very badly needed our sons cloth diapers laundered before we ran out. Simple Diaper Service was the only company I could find that would launder your own stash of cloth diaps without subscribing to a service. Not only that — she would pick up AND deliver and charged a very small per pound fee. THEN she went waaaay out of her way to accommodate our very quick turnaround request since we needed to head back home the next day! We were provided a stash of rental diapers to tide us over in the interim. Our diapers and wipes look and smell brand new. Thank you so much! Such a life and butt saver! We will definitely be using again when we visit SD.

Simple Diaper Service provided us with excellent reliable prefold service when we needed it most!
As parents to a newborn embarking on our first experience with cloth diapering, we had researched other local diaper services, but came across a lot of poor reviews, and were really hesitant to sign up with other companies. Simple Diaper Service came highly recommended, and we were so grateful we signed up with them.
The delivered us organic cotton prefolds and wipes reliably every week, and were flexible if we needed to make any adjustments. Sarah was helpful in guiding us to figure out changing sizes, and was available for demonstrations when we needed.
We couldn’t have been more pleased with their service and recommend them highly!

I don’t normally write reviews but every once in a blue moon I am so impressed by a business that I take the time to.
My family moved to SD this past June. We had a wonderful diaper service up in SF that made us feel really taken care of. I naturally thought it would be easy to find that kind of service down here in SD– not true. Our first service was Precious Bottoms– very nice owner but couldn’t really keep details straight and I ended up wasting time and energy because of repeated mistakes. Also, the diapers are all different thicknesses– some so thin we would have to change our baby after an hour and some so thick it was hard to get the diaper cover on. So we went to Pishposh– again very nice owner but not so good with the details. After a week with them, I could tell it was just going to be a repeat of our last service. Also, they use the shorter diapers which don’t work if your baby has really chubby legs, like our baby.
So, I got on the internet again and researched the remaining diaper services. Beach Bums had some pretty bad reviews so I wasn’t going to go with them. And Earth Baby was by far the most expensive– we just couldn’t justify $ 100/​month for cloth diapers. So we decided to go with Simple Diaper Service. We are so glad we did. Sarah is the owner and is very thorough, professional, and straightforward. And she is good with the details. She is easy to communicate with via text and email– always responding within a few hours if not immediately.
Then the diapers came– the best cloth diapers we have come across including the company in SF. They are unbleached, organic, all of uniform thickness, fresh smelling without being perfumy, and soooo soft.
Simple is a tad more expensive than the previous services we had used in SD but well worth it for the service and the quality of the diapers. I hesitated going with them in the first place because of the price but the extra $ 4⁄8 dollars per month is easily worth it to not have to waste your time and energy dealing with silly mistakes.
