We really enjoyed this restaurant. Our 12-year-old son was initially hesitant because he was afraid that the food would be too spicy, but he loved the butter chicken. The service was great and the young waiter assured our son that he would serve a mild dish. My husband loved the lamb because it was very tender and flavorful. I ordered the Dahl and loved the creamy, comforting taste and feel in my mouth. Our son, who normally won’t let a lentil near his plate tasted the Dahl and absolutely loved it. We’re definitely coming back! This is one of the best Indian restaurants we have ever been to(and we have been to a lot).

Hubby took the babies and me to have lunch here on his lunch break. This place seems so unassuming with the old décor. But the food is to die for. Spicier than I prefer it, I ate past the spicy dumping as much yummy raita without ruining the flavor. Regardless of the spice, it was all so good. Especially the goat curry. Super tender. My children even ate the korma and naan. Believe me that’s saying a lot since they don’t eat anything except Souplantation. This is definitely a good spot for Indian and seconds away from my house.

Food is fresh and tasty. Service is courteous and professional. we had been asked numerous time if we need any thing else. We asked for a new tray of chicken because the current one is out of chicken, and sure enough 5 minutes later, the new tray of chicken curry is replaced. The Naan is included in the buffet, and only bring out fresh, and hot every time. We surely will comeback again. We strongly recommend this place for Indian food lovers.

Arrived a little before 2:00 for lunch. Empty room. Tiny bit of wilted lettuce, a few under ripe tomatoes, no other salads, a few scraps of cold something, maybe fried maybe pakora, glazed over old entrees, only dessert a runny«custard». Cook walks out in disgustingly dirty clothes and apron with old naan. Bland everything, and absolutely no selection. Top off with severe stomach/intestine problem half hour later. Cannot believe good Unilocal reviews.

We went for dinner, and ordered three different dishes that were all delicious: Lamb Tikka Masala, Traditional Chicken Curry, and Korma. The venue was spacious, and the service quick!

Went here tonight after reading reviews on Unilocal & we will definitely be coming back. Both the food & the service were exceptional. Everything was extremely flavorful & we each had two plates from the buffet. The garlic naan brought to the table nice & warm with some curry lamb from the chef was phenomenal. If your taste buds are tired of Mexican food and burgers, check this place out! You will not be disappointed.

I learned about this place when Peachd delivered to my office one day. I had decided to try the Paneer Tikka Masala, and it turned out it was TODIEFOR. Today, I went out to lunch with a friend and I was in the mood for Indian food, so I suggested we try here. He got the buffet, and I ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala as it wasn’t part of the buffet. Service was very friendly, the food was delicious, and the dining area has a nice vibe. This is, hands down, my favorite place for Indian food.

Hands down my favorite Indian place. We use to frequent this place more often but being that were further inland now we don’t get to come here as much, but this is our go-to spot. Being from Seattle it was difficult to find a place that could measure up to what we had back at home & out of the dozens we have been too — this is IT !! Food is spot on and the curry is delicious and the meat is ALWAYSTENDER and falls apart in your mouth. Garlic Naan comes out fresh and hot and the choices to select from during the buffet hours makes me starry eyed. :D LOVEIT. Service is amazing! Staff is friendly and courteous and attentive. 5++++ stars

A co-worker and new friend introduced me to this place and it will now become one of my go to dining spots. She ordered the Fish Tandoori, Matar Paneer, Rogan Josh, Garlic Naan and two Mango Lassis(seriously, why am I JUSTNOW finding out about this?) for us to share. Words cannot describe how delicious everything was; my compliments to the chef! Fresh, flavorful, tantalizing are just some of the words I can use to describe to the intimate dance of food and spices that introduced themselves to my taste buds. My advice: when you go here, don’t just eat(that would insult the culinary artistry of the chef) instead, savor … every… single… bite. I promise the time spent here will be worth it! Needless to say we had leftovers; here’s what sealed the deal for me, the fish was so fresh and so well cooked it DIDNOTSMELLUPTHEHOUSE when I microwaved it a day later and it was 100 times more delicious than the first. Can you say love at first bite… mmmmmm… sooooo… good.

Stumbled on this place within quite possibly the best food stripmall in all of SD as far as ethnic choices that abound. I was in the mood for Indian and thankfully, my chick obliged. Decided to go for the $ 10 lunch buffet even though I wasn’t that hungry(the girl was famished though). So we head in and there’s this teenage boy running around bussing/hosting/filling waters. Seemed like a nice lad and was definitely working hard. He pointed to a table that was clean and instead of sitting down, we hit the buffet straight away. Great choices that looked fresh and good. I directed my gal to what I figured would be good and we ordered a garlic naan fresh(yes!). The food was exceptional. There isn’t a thing I would change about it whatsoever. I mean, they nailed it. So fresh, so good, so authentic and the chicken quality was top notch. Not a single yucky bite in the mix(which happens ALLTHETIME for Indian places). The décor is your typical Indian dump and the place is definitely very dated and not the cleanest. But the food and service were terrific. The busboy/host/server came by periodically to fill our water and other than that we kept serving ourselves to the wonderful buffet. The Indian music was super funny and put us in the vibe(how anyone can take themselves seriously and listen to that stuff on purpose, is beyond me). The gal LOVED everything and that made a fun visit for me even better still. I left stuftified(read: I wasn’t too hungry in the first place). Great experience and I’d come back again and again if in the area.

Namaste. Mom loved this spot. Their #tandoorichicken is slightly crispy on the outside yet tender on the inside. Its family owned — Dad’s the chef with son Gary in his teens gives you exceptional service(He checks each table every ten minutes.) Props to parents for raising a good kid and establishing professional work ethic. Friday #Foodie birthday tour with Mom in #sandiego with some of my favorite #foodies spot down here. We came here because we were looking for an Indian dinner buffet on a Saturday night that was decently priced. Parking is east on the weekend since there isn’t much happening along Miramar on the weekends anyway. We arrived just at 5:00 pm when dinner hours just started. Only the cold appetizers were ready at the time which didn’t look too appealing, but it was nice of our young server to let us know when the hot dishes were ready. Waiting for the hot items actually reassured us the food was coming out fresh. Every hot dish that came out, we loved! The lamb curry had TONS of lamb meat in it, they did not go stingy with that. Each curry was very distinct in flavor. I really liked the spinach one(did not remember the name). The chicken dish was so tender and the meat just melted right off the bone. I’ve been to several other Indian buffets, but the variety here for the hot dishes was pretty good. Although cold dishes and desserts were pretty lacking if you care about those. We asked for plain naan(they have garlic naan too), which had the doughy texture that I like, not the flat crunchy burnt kind, so that made me happy. I was surprised that we were the only ones in the restaurant, but we didn’t feel like we were given any less service or food quality because of that. Yes there may not be an ambiance, as there is no music or beautiful lights if you’re looking for that, but it is new, and I think the owner is trying his best. I rather the food and service be the priority. I’d come back again!

My boyfriend and I went around 7:30pm on a Wednesday and found that the restaurant was completely empty. We got seated and the waiter came over and asked us if we wanted plain or garlic naan(PICKGARLIC!!) and after he left, we got started on the buffet($ 12.95). There weren’t too many choices to pick from but the food was amazing. I’m pretty sure I had about 3 rounds of JUST chicken tikka masala and saag paneer. The garlic naan was extremely hot and fresh, and had a lot of flavor. They also had this sweet shredded carrot dish and it pretty much tasted like sweet potato! There was this cute little boy(okay not little, probably like 13 yrs old) who came around and refilled our water. The service was excellent overall and we will definitely be back.
