Established in 2008.

Viva Brazil opened first in 2008, after 9 months, the business moved to a bigger facility in Pacific Beach. In 2012, our Gaslamp location opened. Our business model is unique since we formulate and manufacture our depilatory wax most of our skin care products. They are available under Cire Pro and VB Skin.

Meet the Business Owner

Margarita S.

Business Owner

Margarita earned her diploma in Atlanta, Georgia with over 1000 clock hours from the International School of Skin and Nails, almost double the practice and education of those required in California. She is also a licensed medical aesthetician through the California State Board of Cosmetology and certified to administer advanced chemical peels.

Before realizing her interest in skincare and waxing, Margarita was in the United States Air Force. She was proudly stationed in the Pentagon flight medical clinic pharmacy servicing the medicinal needs of our country’s military VIP as well as a member of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee for the military DC region.

She worked in Atlanta Med Spas and South Beach, mastering her ‘South Beach’ waxing techniques –resulting in less discomfort to her clients.

Her goal is to provide her clients with optimal customer service and educate them about the most effective products and treatments available –all at an affordable cost.

This place is very hygienic. They don’t double dip so to speak! Their chromo bright PFB does wonders to your skin! If you have dark areas where you wax, the chromo bright will fix that! Simply Amazing!!!

Best place to get a Brazilian in SD!!! The hard wax is the best and the girls are really friendly. They don’t push products or other services on you, but try the PFB and you won’t see an ingrown hair.

Three words to start with… TUESDAY HAPPY HOUR!
They have discount prices on their wax services every Tuesday from 1−4pm. The ladies here are very experienced using hard wax to remove hair. Getting waxed here isn’t painful.
Brazilian Wax appointments usually takes 15 minutes so you can easily go on a break from work (if your office is in or close by PB).
You can book in advance online or call in to schedule an appointment. I usually request for Margarita or Brennan. They are awesome!

hate to name drop because the ladies that work here are very sweet BUT when it comes to their actual job my sister and i did not have a good experience here. was here once before and they did alright, however when we came in last weekend for a brazillian they most definitely did not even get the back side for the wax. my sister also had her eye brows done by sarah and when we got home realized it looked like the left eyebrow was not even touched! we did not notice until we came back but had no desire to go back there.

I’d come here once before with a girlfriend and had a really great experience so I decided to come by again to get some waxing before my vacation. Unfortunately, they had some issues with scheduling but they did call me earlier in the day and try to schedule me at a time so I wouldn’t have to wait. They were still about 15 minutes behind but still within reason and I much appreciated the call earlier in the day. The shop is pretty small but clean and the rooms aren’t overly inviting but then again, you’re getting waxed so how pleasant can it really be? The girl I had was very nice and conversation was good. What I like most about this place is the wax they use. I have VERY sensitive skin and their wax doesn’t irritate my skin nor use strips. I think most places have converted to non-​strip wax, which can be less effective, but this wax seems to do a great job. It was quick and easy, and mostly painless minus a few spots.:P Prices are reasonable and comparable among the market and they offer package deals and sometimes weekday and possibly «happy hour» deals which you can be notified of if you sign up for their email list. Parking can be difficult especially at certain times in PB but you likely will find street parking somewhere unless you go during events or busier times of day. You can also make appointments online and they do have a point/​reward system for all your visits. I did inspect the job more carefully when I got home and I still had some stray hairs, but overall, I would say they do a good job, I like the wax they use, prices follow market and the girls are professional.

I was so nervous to get the Manzillian wax. Brennan was so professional, and I was amazed at how the hard wax they use minimizes pain. Literally, it was nearly pain free. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to be hair free in the nether region.

I’m actually pretty upset with this company. They give a discount on your brazilian after 5 times and when I want to use it, they say we don’t do it anymore. I’ve been coming here now for the last 3 years pretty consistently and not I’m impressed. I’m just so disappointed in the way they conduct business that I am no longer going here

Viva Brazil never dissapoints. EVERYONE who works here is incredibly friendly and they all do a great job of making you feel comfortable while they’re messin’ around… yano, down there.
I have referred at least 5 of my girlfriends here who all said they were never gonna get waxed because they were afraid it would hurt really bad. Now, they are all regulars here and couldn’t be happier. :)
The wax they use needs to be in every every salon across the nation! Its fantastic and the results are amazing! And if your prone to irritation, use their PFD product after waxing. It does wonders for your skin, and even keeps me smooth just a little longer.
If you’re reading this review, stop, and schedule an appointment already. You’ll be glad that you did. :)

Great and friendly service and their prices cannot be beat! I’ve only ever done waxing here and the reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because they do sometimes leave stragglers behind. Can’t complain though because I always go back, and always refer customers here!
