History
Established in 2008.
Realizing quite late, the crash of 2008 was at my doorstep, I batted down the hatches hungry as a Bengal tiger to live a dream. Hard work and passion proved to be too much for pessimism and failure. Realistically a combination of many things but truly inspired from travels and working in big city restaurants refined my sense of confidence upon returning to my hometown after 16 yrs in Venice beach, CA. Digging the idea of expressing my vision to San Diego is always my motivation. I carefully selected an 1896 Victorian house as my restaurant space and developed this passion project in a transitioning landmark barrio of, Bankers hill, which is now a destination to San Diego Gastronomes and Oenophiles alike. The history of a diverse demographic of customer at Wet Stone lends itself to a sophisticated, big-city dining experience. Its truly a hidden gem to San Diego’s restaurant scene.
