At Woody’s Burgers we serve gourmet burgers, mouthwatering fries, shakes and much more. All burgers are cooked to order and substitute chicken or turkey to any specialty burger. Our craft beer includes 18 microbreweries on tap. We have Happy Hour every day from 3:30pm-7:30pm, offering half off on select craft beer.

To be honest with you, it doesn’t matter how many stars I give this place. I’m just going to try to tell it like it is.
The place is huge. I can’t imagine how it would look if it was packed, but that might be a nice goal to have.
I think the burgers are pretty good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but nowhere near the worst. They’re all 100% angus beef, as described on the menu. After trying a few of their different burgers, I realized that the differences between each burger are only based on what is included with it. The way they’re all cooked seem the same, but it’s that last step of what is included with the burger (ie: chili, mushrooms, jalapeños, etc.) that is different. So, the variety could use a little development, but the base ingredients are fine.
The sweet potato fries are drizzled with honey, which makes them even more sweet, and a bit sticky. I like them, but just mentioning this to you just so you’re aware.
Salads: They taste good, but they’re also fairly basic in terms of ingredients. In general, I had a feeling of «I could have made this myself» as I was eating it. I did order just a half salad, though. I have no idea if the full version is any different besides the quantity.
I haven’t been here at night or when it gets its busiest, so I can’t comment on how they handle a critically high volume of customers.
I’d probably purchase online deals for this place. Tip your servers well. They are very likable.

Oh Woody, you really teased me. Walking in, we said «this could be a normal lunch spot» — your vibe made us think you would have solid burgers at reasonable prices with efficient service.
sadly you were 0 – 3.
burgers were dry. even the sliders. and for the amount of sh*t they put on them, they were remarkably blah.
service was a bit odd — fries came out well before the sandwiches. each table had a number on it, and the sequence was pretty much in order — yet everyone working there had to look around the whole place for table 17 (hint: it is right between 16 and 18).
and the price point. Well, 3 dry sliders, a side, and a drink topped $ 20 with a reasonable tip.

Voted Best Burger… in this complex maybe.
Mum and I were here on a random weekday and were unimpressed. The server brings us two glasses of pepsi and after we finish those while waiting for our food, we awkwardly wonder if we are supposed to be getting the refills ourselves since the drink machine is directly between the kitchen and dining area. We ask and she tells us the drink machine doesn’t actually work and she kind of huffingly brings out some canned sodas, like after spending $ 2 on a fountain soda, we are unreasonable for asking for another soda to drink with our burgers. If we had known in advance, we probably would have foregone $ 2 «worth» of canned sodas each.
On to the food: They advertise «100% Angus Beef burgers», but they had the texture of pre-​formed frozen patties. They may be angus beef before they were frozen, but it paled in comparison to places without pre-​frozen patties. We had the hawaiian burger and the western burger and the toppings were good, but if you put gourmet toppings on subpar meat… For the same price as Woody’s, next time we will go to Red Robin and get essentially the same burger with bottomless fries and working drink machines.
The manager was ridiculously friendly, but the lady who actually took our order seemed as though she had somewhere she would rather be.
Overall: edible, but nothing to write home about. We won’t be back.

We like coming here with the kids for dinner once every month or two — it’s a good meeting spot when we are all on our way home from school and work, and we like the food, but I am kind of surprised that it’s still open. Occasionally if there’s a band it will be busy, but usually (on weeknights anyway) it’s dead. Tonight as we were getting out of the car at 6:45, they pretty much locked the door in my face.
Update: tried again, figured they were open since there were multiple cars parked out front… Nope. We could only order takeout, or sit in the bar area (which was full). Guess it was too far to walk to the dining room to serve us?

I came here for dinner starving last night only to be told that their kitchen closes at 7:30PM! I was so sad and only slightly hangry but I decided to try again another time. Came back for lunch the next day and I have to say I enjoyed their food but I think the place has lots of room for improvement. The décor is definitely outdated and I sat down to find that my seat was broken. I really wanted to try their fried pickles but they were all out. Also they don’t have an actual beer menu and the large party next to us all had to stand up and walk to the bar to check out beer options. Not a huge deal though.
Overall, I enjoyed the food, especially the fries! The burgers are a little soggy and messy so if you’re a napkin whore like me you will end up using like 20 napkins… but the taste makes up for it. The best part is that you can make any burger a slider and they’re pretty decent sized. One slider with a side of fries made a decent sized lunch for me.

Boyfriend and I come here often since the game shop is close by. We typically get the slider samplers and have yet to be disappointed in the quality of food. Our personal favorites include the Hawaiian and Western burgers for him and Jalapeño and Mushroom burgers for me. Between us and our friends, we’ve tried almost every burger on their list and so far so good.
We’re not big fans of the onion rings here, but the fries and the sweet potato fries are amazing. We haven’t tried any of the sandwiches though.
Service has been pretty good every time we’ve been. Coincidentally, most of the time we’ve had KC has our server and he’s been very awesome. Nice, prompt, and very helpful.
The reason for the four-​stars instead of five – in the past, sometimes getting the food was excruciatingly slow. The longest we’ve had to wait 45 minutes for our burgers – but that was sometime last year. It may have been because most of us were ordering the samplers. It has gotten much better recently and the wait times are much more reasonable. Service was always good though, I think it was just a problem with the kitchen at that time.

Stopped here to meet a friend for lunch. The place is a lot bigger inside than it looks! We sat down and had a very nice waiter. I would say the service is awesome, we were checked on several times to make sure everything was ok and tasted good.
Now for the food… I am a fan of fried pickles but I feel like I can never find a place that makes them perfect. Well I don’t have to look any further! This place has AWESOME fried pickles. I was in heaven! We also shared the sweet potato fries which were drizzled with honey I believe and those were amazing as well. I tried a slider and had it wrapped in lettuce, who was I kidding with all the carbs i just ate mentioned above hahahah but that was good as well. I was very impressed overall and will be coming back often especially for the pickles!

Awesome job! We had a company party here and the service was amazing. The macaroni and cheese bites were scrumptious and delicious. The burgers were amazing. I especially loved the bread. All of the staff was absolutely incredible.

I work locally on Miramar and really wanted Woody’s to be good. Okay, I NEEDED Woody’s to be good. Working on Miramar, I am on the hunt for a good, reasonably affordable lunch option without having to drive out to Mira Mesa or spend Ballast Point money.
I’m not sure where everyone is eating lunch around here, because when I went to Woody’s for lunch at noon, outside of a group of 3 old ladies, it was a ghost town.
From the sunken-​cushion seating, to the hand written beer list to actually getting our food order wrong, Woody’s was a huge let down. It’s burgers and beers… it’s not that hard! Now when I say they got the order wrong, I’m not referring to a burger being requested medium but served well done, although that happened too… The wrong burger arrived and the server vanished. Even a pint of local SD Beer could not save the experience.
It’s a pretty big space, so it’s good for groups, but note that Woody’s in not a place to take a client or colleague for a lunch meeting. Woody’s is not a place I’ll be going back to… Bye, Woody!

It was alright… gotta say, it’s the low spectrum of three stars for the food, but the owner took our order, and he was really enthusiastic and helpful… to the point of suggesting a DuckFoot gluten free beer when I requested a lettuce wrap for the burger…
Parking was easily accomplished even though it was 11:45 am during the week… usually a problem.
Space used to be a Boll Weevil, then it changed hands a few times. Current space is white ceiling with turquoise walls… small-​ish selection of menu items.
I went for a double cheeseburger with bacon and onion rings with the aforementioned lettuce wrap, and my buddy had a single cheeseburger with fries.
The fries are battered and tasty, I tried one. The onion rings were tasty, but seriously overcooked.
The burger patty was requested medium and it was pretty rubbery… didn’t care for the texture at all. Flavor was decent and it was very juicy. The decision to feature butter lettuce as the only offering continues to be problematic… Iceberg lettuce is the only lettuce that really holds up as a wrap… the butter lettuce got cooked through on the side they put the patties down on, and turned into mush.
Bill was $ 32.00 before tip.

Sportin’ a Woody!
Woody’s is not the place you take a hot date, it’s the place you take your «Tuesday girl». It’s also mostly square tables so make sure your group is four or less.
I’ve sampled several Burgers at Woody’s over the years and all have been tasty, but my favorite is the blue burger. Slider Sampler is also a good choice. Sides are served in baskets and recommended.
Manager was attentive and came out to check on each table.
Gripe — This last time I was here I was really annoyed by all the flies by the windows.
BTW, the hot date goes to Eureka! Burger.

Don’t come here after 6pm if you don’t like jazz music. It was difficult to hear anything and I could barely hear my boyfriend who was sitting right across from me. We just ate as fast as possible and left. Now we make sure to go here before that time or to order to go.
The burgers are good with a lot of flavor, I prefer getting the 3 sliders that way you have 3 different flavors. I also like the onion rings. They also have a bar with a pool table. Not a bad spot for people to chill at after work.
They also have deals on Groupon/​Livingsocial, so be sure to check it out to save a little money.

This is the usual spot that my company goes to for lunch outings, since they have a lot of space and a good selection of beer. Our party of 20 (!) stopped by on 7⁄15 and the staff was very quick and courteous in seating us. They brought out our drinks and took our orders very promptly, which we appreciated. The place reeked pretty bad of cleaning product while we were in there, though, which wasn’t terrible, but definitely didn’t help my appetite. The food came out pretty quick but was a little underwhelming. I ordered my mushroom burger medium and it was quite overcooked and chewy. The bun was a little hard too. Also, their burgers are a little on the smaller side compared to other restaurants, so I can’t say I was completely satisfied with just the burger alone. The sweet potato fries sealed the deal, though– Warm, crispy, and covered in a light maple syrup glaze– delicious!
A few of my coworkers ordered salads and they looked tasty, so I may try those out next time I’m here. The service here is always good, so if you’re looking for a decent burger and a friendly, chill vibe this is the spot.

Another hidden gem on Miramar!
Came here yesterday for a quick lunch and there were literally no customers. I was a bit afraid to try their food since there were so many bad reviews but glad I stayed! Relly cool ambience here, like 80’s diner experience with a place for a live band to play and a pool hall in a separate corner!
I got the mushroom burgey w/​swiss chesse (extra $.95) and sweet potato fries. BOMB sweet potatoe fries! Usually sweet potatoe fries at other restaurants come out soggy but there were cut really thin so they remained crispy! Another amazing thing about it was that they drizzle maple syrup on it… whoever thought of that is genius. Couldn’t stop eating it! My mushroom burger was HUGE. I could barely finish the whole thing but the meat was indeed very yummy and mushroom flavored very well. Was a bit sad I couldn’t try out their milkshakes since they were out but would love to try it next time! Our server was also amazing, very nice and friendly!

I wasn’t a huge fan of this place, but they had really good customer service, which is why I bumped it up a star.
Honestly, the burgers weren’t amazing… I have to admit they cooked the patties really well (I wanted medium rare), but it wasn’t really life changing. I got a plain hamburger and it only came with lettuce and a tomato, their thousand island sauce, and the patty. It felt like a lot of the components of a burger was missing.
I also ordered the sweet potato fries, for which I usually have a soft spot for. Their fries were really unique because they drizzled maple syrup on top. I’d say that the maple syrup + fries combination is definitely an acquired taste. I wasn’t a big fan of it, but my friend absolutely loves it! My friend also ordered the onion rings and they tasted a bit bitter.
What I did enjoy was how the food was overly greasy and their great customer service. Our server checked up on us many times and was extremely accommodating, especially when we needed to alter our orders.

Saturday night service was just so bad.
First we sat down and the first table was dirty, went to the next and it was dirty. I had to flag the guy down to clean it.
Poor guy was alone and had 3 large groups there, about 6 – 10 people each.
Anyways we ordered and mine was missing its sauce and we never got utensils, after asking for them I ended up going and grabbing them myself.
My husbands burger was just ok but the buns were soggy and just fell apart.
My son knocked over a drink and our table had no napkins, had to go two tables over.
For the price it’s not worth it. Service was slow, food was just ok, and it wasn’t very clean or stocked. We won’t be back.

I like that they have pool (billiards) and it’s free to play. They have one decent pool stick that was used to take turns.
In preparation for a brew hop, we came here to grab a bite to eat. Because I couldn’t have meat on that Friday evening I was willing to see their options, I can find the no meat options almost anywhere! It was after 7pm, and there were 5 people total dining. We took the seat next to the pool table so we could watch the only TV showing March Madness. I went with the portabello mushroom sandwich with a side of onion rings. The onion rings were the greasiest! It also wasn’t the breaded kind, but the dipped batter type that was just full of oil. These onion ring is what go me through my dish. The mushroom was drenched in balsamic vinaigrette which I regret not putting on the side. It was just a balsamic takeover. I just didn’t enjoy my meal.
The beers are all from local breweries — most just down the street, I almost could have skipped our self brewery tour, lol.

I ventured over to the east side of the 805 to check out Woody’s. It’s in a non-​descript strip mall, but there is ample parking towards the back.
My co-​worker and I split an order of regular and sweet potato fries. They came out before our burger, so we had to start eating them immediately before they became cold. Both were quite good. The sweet potato fries came with a honey-​type glaze already spread on top, so be prepared to have sticky fingers. The regular fries were light and crispy. Even between the two of us, we couldn’t finish either order.
On to the burger. The mushroom burger was a ½ pound of Angus beef and was very good. I added the free caramelized onions, which is always a good burger addition. There is an extra charge for cheese, which I added of course. It wasn’t the best burger I’ve ever had, but was definitely in the top 10%.
The service was good, with quick drink refills and a couple of checks to see how we were doing. We were even comped an order of fries when we pointed out that we did not receive our cole slaw order. It’s a bit out of my way to be a regular, but I’ll be back for sure.
