History

Established in 2001.

My wife was pregnant with our first child. I was working at SFGate in online ad sales, and I was laid off due to Union politics. Confronted with the idea of being an unemployed new dad, I bucked up, got my license, and got to work. I’ve been knocking it out of the park ever since.

Raised in the foothills of Reno, NV by a skiing family, I moved to the beaches of California to attend college at UCSB, spending a year of my studies abroad in Vienna, Austria learning German, and experiencing the finer things in life. Having graduated with a B.A. in Political Science, my first post collegiate job was at Porsche Motors in Stuttgart, Germany marketing 911’s and Boxsters, but I decided I should set my sights higher, move back to the States and become a Lift Operator at Mt. Rose Ski area. I quickly realized this was not going to be a life-​long career! Hence, my move to San Francisco…

Living in San Francisco with my wife and two boys, who both attend SFUSD public schools, I enjoy surfing, skiing, cycling and golf. I’m a small entrepreneur and big-​time blogger (the​FrontSteps​.com).
