Alfonsi Elisabetta DC DACNB

I began seeing Dr. Alfonsi late last year as I had some changes in my work schedule and required a chiropractor who was closer to my employer.
Dr. Alfonsi is a professional who is warm, attentive, and is a true master of her craft. I have had constant issues with the curvature in my back and misaligned hips and she made some observations and changes to my behavior that resulted in significant improvements to my body and posture. She was able to find the root cause of certain issues that no other chiropractor in my seven years of prior treatment had ever noticed or mentioned!
I highly recommend Dr. Alfonsi’s services for both preventative care and if you have any major issues. Her prices are extremely reasonable and she is very flexible in scheduling appointments.
Dr. Alfonsi is a total miracle worker and I look forward to working with her more in the future!

I have been seeing Elisabetta for at least 10 years now and always feel better afterwards. I have a herniated disk, cervical spine issues and hip pain. She seems to know or, rather her hands/​fingers seem to know exactly where it hurts. She does both manipulations and also hands-​on touch treatment that really helps. She is very calm, sweet and a very caring person. She will spend a good amount of time with you, and unlike some of the inadequate «back crackers» I have seen in the past, she is very patient and gentle. I highly recommend her. Even my husband who is normally very skeptical about any alternative medicine went to her with shoulder pain and found her very helpful and is now a convert.

Elisabetta is a miracle worker. I have referred so many people to her over the years with so many issues, and without fail, every one has found relief. She considers the whole body, your lifestyle, nutrition. She gives you real tangible things to do on your own that help speed your healing and help you develop good habits so old aches and pains don’t recur. She offers advice, suggestions, ideas on how to heal thyself. Her combination of chiropractic, neurology, and energy healing combine to solve any issue. Nothing is too big or too small for Elisabetta. You are in great hands (literally!) with Elisabetta.

Dr. Alfonsi is the most nurturing and honest chiro I’ve been to, and I’ve seen quite a few. She doesn’t do the obligatory crack that most other chiros rely on, which is quite refreshing. Instead, she takes a gentler, more holistic approach, always giving you good ways to heal yourself outside of the sessions. I have to say that I have had chronic sciatica issues and she really found a way to manage the pain and get me into a regiment that isn’t just about keeping her door revolving. I will always turn to her whenever my body aches and groans. I recommend her highly.

I am so thankful to have found D. Alfonsi, she most definitely changed the quality of my life in just a couple visits. I was having some random body pains and very bad lower back pain. My MD had no solution so he sent me to an orthopedist, who did xrays but offered no solutions, so I started accupucture. While it was somewhat helpful to relax me, it was not solving the problem, so my acupuncturist, whom i trust enormously, recommended Dr. Alfonsi. I was so skeptical of chiropractice that I did not go for a while – and now I cant believe how much I suffered needlessly when Dr. Alfonsi was able to give me an actual diagnosis, and a plan that gave me so much relief. I find her very thoughtful in listening, quite holistic in her approach (recommending yoda and exercises I can do at home in conjuction) and best of all her plan is to wean me off needing to see her! I was so worried I would be «sucked in» to an appontment schedule that i would have to commit to (and spend $$ on) forever, but she genuinely wants me to improve such that I can see her less; I am now on a once– every– six– weeks schedule and am still improving. I have great confidence in her knowledge, and really like her supportive, gentle style. A real gem.

I love Dr. Alfonsi! I first went to her with a lot of migraine problems. At one point they were so bad that sometimes I would get deja-​vu, see auras, and even faint. I really appreciated the care and thoroughness Dr. Alfonsi took during our initial consultation. She wanted to learn more about the pain, but also other factors such as environmental conditions, stress, etc. that was happening in my life, so I appreciated the holistic approach. Her true differentiation comes from the fact that she does a combination of chiropractic work as well as deep tissue/​nervous system work. I definitely think that if I had just gone to a chiropractor (who didn’t also work on my nervous system), there still would have been underlying issues because so much of our body’s responses are due to tension/​build-​up in the muscles/​nerves. She is very friendly, professional, and effective. Since going to her for the past couple months I have not had any more migraines/​fainting spells. Highly recommend her!

I have gone to Dr. Alfonsi at two separate times in my life now for intense back pain due to a bulging disc. Both times modern medicine let me down and Dr. Alfonsi was my lifesaver. The first time, I was 30 years old and taking 12 pills a day — muscle relaxers and nerve pain meds and within a month of seeing Dr. Alfonsi, I was able to come off the meds completely. This second and most recent time, the pain was so bad, I was using a walker to get from my bedroom to the bathroom. Again Dr. Alfonsi fixed me up within a few short weeks. She’s an amazing healer and an overall lovely person as well.

I have seen Elisabetta after having kids because my back was constantly hurting and so was my neck.
What can I say? I’m so glad someone referred me to her because she has magic hands!!! And her warm and welcoming manners make you feel comfortable. She takes time to explain what she is doing and to give useful advices on posture, lifestyle and stress management. I loved that she sees her patients as a whole and not just as people with pain or health issues.
After 3 weeks of adjustments I am now feeling better and I will for sure be going back!

Elisabetta is one-​of-​a-​kind. She is the only chiropractor I know of in the Bay area doing a combination of chiropractic adjustment, soft tissue work (read: deep muscle work which always hits the spot perfectly and feels like a massage), and networking (energy work). No in-​and-​out in ten minute quickies, or sharing the office with other patients (as many network chiropractors do), but rather half-​hour in depth sessions where you have her undivided attention and expertise.
Her technique has been very effective for me. When I first began seeing her I had intense pain in my mid-​back if I sat for longer than an hour at a time. Long flights were horrendous. It only took a couple sessions to get the pain in my back drastically reduced, and now it very rarely hurts.
I still go to her for periodic adjustments, and seeing her regularly for tune-​ups helps nip any problems in the bud.
Aside from the effective technical stuff, she is also just great to be around. I always look forward to sessions with her: She’s very calm, efficient, clean energetically, really listens, and really cares about her patients. I send all my family and friends to her when they need work done, and everyone comes back with raving reviews.

I have been seeing Elisabetta on and off for about 6 years I think, maybe 7 — time flies and I can’t remember exactly! She is the only chiropractor in the entire Bay Area that I will go to. I literally drive an hour from my house to see her right now! Qualifying myself — I grew up with chiropractics, my grandfather was a chiro when they were considered witch doctors. I have been to dozens of chiropractors over the years and some of them have been really good, others have been awful but Elisabetta, IMO, remains the best.
My most recent injury (as I am involved in competitive sports, thus often hurting something) was whiplash — not from a car accident. Elisabetta was the only health care practitioner that was able to «put me back together again» — and only after a few treatments. After 2 weeks in her care I was up and running, back to the sport that that injured me in the first place.
I first went to see her years ago for my lower back, which she fixed! Then I got a herniated disk in L5/​S1 — again Elisabetta fixed that too (though that took a little longer which is to be expected). Ah yes and then mid back issues… on the road to recovery thanks to Elisabetta’s training in both chiropractics AND neurology. This is her caveat. She is a chiropractic neurologist — working with more than just the spine. I’ve had massages my entire life but when Elisabetta does some micro movements on my ligaments and muscles it feels entirely different and the results — well they speak for themselves.
The other thing that she does, which helps immensely, is give me exercises to do on my own which completely work!!! — as long as you actually do them ;)
Lastly, she is a kind and caring practitioner who takes the time to listen and analyze. I really can’t recommend her enough! She is my «knight in shining armor» — and yes I looked, there were female knights!!!

She is OK, I wont rate her like others as per my experience.
I had problem in one shoulder and after 2 months of her care my other shoulder was in pain.

Dr. Alfonsi is the sole reason for my health today. She has worked absolute miracles on my neck after dozens of physical therapy appointments, neurologists, and more. She is amazing and I highly recommend her for anyone who needs any medical attention on their neck, back, head, etc…

Don’t know what more I can add to the group of satisfied customers. Dr. Alfonsi can deal with issues that other chiropractors have not been able to help me with. For example, an extremely painful tennis elbow. In a few sessions, it was all over and I had no more symptoms. That was 2 – 3 yrs. ago and it has never returned. I don’t what happened kwith the guy and his vitamin problem, but this has never been my experience. That said, if the good doctor suggested I purchase what-​ever-​it-​is from her, I’d do it without any reservation.

If I could give Elisabetta 10 stars I would. After a terrible car accident she is the only medical professional who did me any good at all. She does an amazing job at explaining how your body actually works and why certain treatments are effective.
She also gave me follow up exercises to do at home and taught me a great deal about holistic medicine.
Also she managed to greatly reduce my migraines, something which no other doctor had ever been able to do. In short, she’s wonder! So if you want to feel better go see her now!

I was very lucky to find Elisabetta. I had been having serious pain in my back for a while and had never gone to a chiropractor. Contacting her was a great decision as my spine and posture became much healthier through her services and education.
She’s also a very caring and considerate person. After I had seen her for some regular treatments she saw me with virtually no notice after I had hit my head in a bad bicycle accident.
I couldn’t recommend Elisabetta higher for anyone who seeks relief from pain and effective professional treatment.

Dr. Alfonsi is the best!
Dr Alfonsi is an incredibly skilled, caring and intuitive healer. She utilizes a variety of techniques to achieve great results. She is also an effective listener and develops a plan of care that is effective, healing and compassionate.

Dr Alfonsi is an absolute superstar!!! I wish I could give her a 6 star rating.
I had ruptured two disks in my lower back 16 months before and it had healed up, but then suddenly came back to the point where I was bed bound for about a month! I went to see Dr Alfonsi and she started on a program that had me back to to top shape in about 6 weeks. She uses the Cox Technique with great effectiveness. If you are in a situation where you are considering surgery — don’t — go see Dr Alfonsi!
She has a gentle, mindful and very attentive approach. She considers all the parts and thanks to her I am abler to move around like I did before — go see her!

Dr Alfonsi was very nice, but she tried to sell me vitamins, and I went in for my knee injury, and she just focused on my neck and my back. I also had an insurance dispute because the insurance issued me the claims check, so she asked me for the check, which I sent her. But the insurance bothered me for months afterward saying they sent the same check to the provider, so they want one of the checks back. I had to write letters to the insurance saying that I did not have the power to ask the provider to give them the check they double-​issued, since I no longer have it in my possession. It was such as mess.

I was a complete skeptic about chiropractors, and then one morning four years ago I was brushing my teeth and suddenly could not move without severe back pain. I hobbled into Elisabetta’s office shortly thereafter, bent nearly double, and walked out upright 30 minutes later.
Elisabetta’s knowledge of neuroanatomy is what sets her apart, as well as her gentle, caring manner. I had explained my back pain to my GP previously, and he seemed as clueless about what was causing it or how to make it better as I was.
In contrast, Elisabetta told me exactly what the problem was, what I was doing that was exacerbating it, and gave me tips and exercises to heal it. Without her intervention I have no doubt that I would have ended up in some useless surgery or else in constant pain. Thanks, Elisabetta.

I would give Dr. Alfonsi a 10 star — she is far the best chiropractor I’ve seen. She really loves what she does and has her best interest in the health of your body — I’ve been seeing her for over 4 years and my back is at its best.
