My wedding would have been a disaster without Christy Daly Matthews. I knew I could handle the bulk of planning on my own, but the execution was another story. I wanted to enjoy myself and know that everything would run smoothly. Thanks to Christy’s day-​of-​coordinating services I could have my cake and eat it, too! In addition, she introduced me to a fabulous tailor, gave me great tips for hiring vendors, and offered advice on DIY flowers. My big day was perfect!

Christy was amazing to work with and I’d recommend her to anyone looking for help with wedding planning and coordination. We signed up for Christy’s month-​of & day-​of plan, a bit unsure initially whether we needed the help. In retrospect, we clearly did and having Christy helping us ensured that the wedding went smoothly and that my wife and I could focus on having fun instead of logistics.
Christy is supremely organized, very responsive, and very easy to work with. She was always happy to respect our wishes but equally willing to offer alternative suggestions, which we really appreciated. In addition to the work she did, Christy introduced us to an amazing caterer as well as a great vendor for alcohol. She went above & beyond what was required by our contract.
Christy made sure that everything ran smoothly on the day of our wedding and handled a couple of minor but memorable crises with poise and humor. Most importantly, when Christy was told by the venue manager that two of our guests were spotted in a, errr, compromising position in an upstairs room, she informed me immediately, knowing that this would absolutely make my night.

As soon as I spoke with Christy on the phone, I knew she was the perfect person to take our wedding from an idea, to fruition. When you talk with Christy, you don’t feel like you’re talking to your usual vendor, who’s trying to sell you on something. It feels like you’re talking to one of your friends, who’s excited about hearing your ideas, but wants to help.
We didn’t have the luxury of hiring a coordinator for the entire planning process, so what we needed was someone who was able to jump right in and pick up the pieces where we left off. With just 4 weeks before the wedding, Christy did this seamlessly. About a week before the wedding, I realized I hadn’t heard from any of my vendors in weeks, and had a brief moment of stress. But then I realized that I hadn’t heard from anyone because Christy was doing exactly what she said she would do, and was taking care of everything herself!
Christy is incredibly detail oriented, and thinks of EVERYTHING… literally down to the minute! But the best part is, you don’t have to worry about any of those details if you don’t want to. She will do it all behind the scenes, and only involve you if need be. Moreover, she’s a people person, so not only will you love working with her, but so will all your vendors (even the ones who aren’t the easiest to work with). It’s really not until after the wedding that you realize how important this is, but the relationships between the vendors is the glue that holds everything together, and Christy makes this happen.
Hire Christy with Allure! You could not find a better, nicer, more professional coordinator than her! If someday we have an event we need to plan again, she will be the first person we call!

Christy executed everything perfectly! We planned our wedding long distance and did not meet with Christy in person up until the day before our wedding. Our wedding was flawless with all the details that Christy added with her personal touch. She is absolutely amazing and a very very sweet and compassionate person! :)

I wasn’t convinced I needed a wedding coordinator, but I was also moving to China four months prior to my wedding… When I spoke with Christy for the first time, she really listened and understood what I wanted out of a coordinator. I felt comfortable with her right away — it seemed as if she had known me for ages and shared my vision for the wedding.
I consider myself pretty organized and detail-​oriented (some would say, «anal») — and I quickly found out that Christy is the same; I could count on her completely. Reliable and responsive, she got back to my countless emails and made me feel at ease while planning the wedding from way far away.

Christy was a pleasure througout the stressful experience of planning my wedding reception at the Log Cabin in SF.
She had the event scheduled down to the minute and thought of all kinds of details that I never would have considered on my own. She also took the time to understand what I wanted out the day and executed on the vision flawlessly.

I was so lucky to have Christy and Allure for my wedding!!! My husband and I were married in October of 2010. I knew early on that I’d need someone helping us since we lived in Los Angeles and were planning on getting married in Monterey/​Carmel.
Christy was my rock through the process. I can be a bit controlling and I needed someone who could help me let go of things and trust. Luckily, Christy is way more detail-​oriented than I am! She was so professional and kept me on track of my milestones.
The day of our wedding was magic. The moment Christy opened the doors for me at San Carlos Cathedral, I knew everything was perfect. From walking down the aisle to the moment Sean and I left the reception holding hands, I knew we nailed it. My wedding was a dream come true.
The adrenaline of the day makes it all a blur, but I do know Christy was always within 20 feet of me. She sensed me the whole day and made sure I was happy. She kept us all on schedule and made sure all of our vendors were on target.
I cannot recommend Christy and Allure more for a wedding. She and I worked together for nine months with the Full Planning package, pin pointing every detail, every shade, every musical note together. If I had to do it again, I would start my process with Allure!

I {heart} Allure Consulting! My wedding was in ’04 and we worked closely with Michelle. She was amazing to work with — professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We chose the ‘Day Of’ package since we had already found/​contracted with most of our vendors. I mainly wanted someone to oversee our big day. I fully believe our wedding wouldn’t have been as successful as it was without her. The minute she arrived on the wedding morning, I felt a sense of calm and reassurance. The best gift we could have given ourselves! Many of our vendors also commented on how impressed they were by her as well.
Since then, Allure Consulting has done a couple of my friend’s weddings as well as my sister’s. All based on my recommendation. Each of them have had the same positive experience! Kristen worked on my sister’s wedding in ’09 and did a fabulous job. Definite must for a seamless wedding day!

You know it’s trouble when the venue sends you a contract that is some 27 pages long and when your original budget ended up spiraling out of control and tripled. You know Michelle, Kristen, and Matt at Allure Consulting are extraordinary and did an amazing job when everything went smoothly and you did not hear about any hiccup the entire day after you, the bride, have been nervous about it all for the past 28 months. You wake up the morning of the wedding and all you have to worry about is how you’re going to goof off with your bridesmaids while getting ready.
Upon hearing Michelle pick up the phone and verifying that I hadn’t called some adult ⁸⁰⁰⁄₉₀₀ number, it was love at first phone call. (She denies it, but I’m pretty convinced she runs something of that sort after hours with that voice!) She can sweet talk all your vendors but if need be, she can release the inner lioness.
Hiring Michelle for our wedding was money well spent. She’s really friendly and has a great sense of humor. In working with her, no question was ever too small for her and no feat ever too large. She’s incredibly responsible and organized and took care of our wedding details down to the fork on our rental order. She really made being a bridezilla a difficult task because there was nothing I COULD freak out about and I’m sure my bridesmaids are thankful for this.
Every time there was a concern, we called Michelle and she and her team took care of it. She referred us amazing vendors that our guests (and ourselves) are still raving about and she was so much fun to work with. She will make you laugh… hard! Her online website that she provides you for planning your event even rivals The Knot’s.
Michelle did a wonderful job ensuring all our vendors were in compliance with the venue’s requirements prior to the event. During the event, she did a fantastic job coordinating with everyone to make sure everyone kept up with the timeline which was notable considering we had a late start to the day due to the complex task of setting up everything up before allowing guests to enter. The San Francisco City Hall Event Manager even commented on how impressive it was that we were able to catch up and keep with the timeline as most weddings at the venue usually fell and stayed behind schedule.
After the wedding, Michelle did a great job taking care of all the wrap up activities which allowed us to savor the wedding experience without having to deal with the little details.
