Ana’s Dreams Hair Salon

They did such an awesome job for such a good price ($ 35 for the cut + wash + styling). So happy I walked in!

This review is LOOOONG overdue. Although this incident happened about a year ago I still remember it like it was yesterday.
A friend of mine was always getting her hair done here with highlights and it was actually looking nice. Told her to refer me to her hairstylist as I was looking for a new hairstyle. I had hair up to my butt that hadn’t been dyed in years and was in need of a new makeover. She referred me to this poor excuse of a hair stylist.
Ana is the owner and she acts like she can’t speak English when she really can. Came in here and showed her a picture of what I wanted, my friend asked her in Spanish if she could do it and she said yes. Price was $ 95. I was feeling nervous because it’s a hole in the wall hair shop in the Mission, you can’t really expect much from them but I still gave her the benefit of the doubt. Let me tell you you get what you pay for and even worse!
I showed her a picture of a burgundyish hairstyle with blonde tips (please see pictures). And she gave me clown red hair that was bleeding into the blonde NONSTOP. The picture really says it all. And to top it off, this incompetent cunt over processed my «tips» and left that part of my hair fried to the max. It was a really horrible experience. I told her on the spot it was not what I wanted and she acted like she did nothing wrong. That is what you call dishonest. Unless she’s blind, it was too clear how fucked up my hair was. I wanted to get it done for graduation so I was panicking. She said I should come in the next day for her to «fix it» wtf? And have her process my hair even more? Hell no! I actually came back the next day and asked for my money back. Incompetent cunt refused to give a penny of it back and was extremely defiant! I even tried to negotiate, saying I was willing to take 50% back as I understand we all have bills to pay and she still refused! I was literally crying at home, hoping that I could magically wash the clown dye she put in my hair. It just kept bleeding and bleeding and good hair dye does not do that!
I ended up looking her whack ass business up on the board of cosmetology’s website and found that she was running it with an expired license for 4 years so I reported her to the board and although they couldn’t make her pay me back, they made her pay them for the expired license. Shit, if she wasn’t going to pay me she was going to pay someone else and I hope the amount was way over $ 95! Hope it was worth it bitch!
All Ana knows how to do is highlights and flipping hair out. That’s all she’s good for! She doesn’t know anything about creative hair cuts or colors. Please don’t try to go cheap with your hair people, you get what you pay for! Ana doesn’t deserve to have a hair salon because she is a dishonest lying incompetent poor excuse of a hair stylist. Only one thing I thank her for-​in my state of panic looking for someone to fix this clown hair she did for me, I found my hairstylist and she was a God send. She fixed this crap Ana did so good. I swear! (See pics) long story short don’t go to Ana, she doesn’t know wtf she is doing. Don’t even know how she got a license. She really needs to get it revoked as well as her business license.

15 years, what I like about her is that she knows the latest styles and colors I’m a person that I like to do changes on myself so I don’t look like photography.

Stopped in because Laura’s was packed and I was in a rush. Big mistake! Do not let Bladmir cut your hair! He makes tons of mistakes as he tries to rush you out the door, and if you politely ask him to fix the mistakes you can expect plenty of attitude. I don’t know about the other stylists here, but I am sticking with Laura’s, even if it may get a bit packed sometimes.

I met Ana years ago at a salon she worked at near Geneva & Mission… I called one day and she no longer worked there which made me sad :(
I found out shortly she had opened up her own salon :) and called her immediately. I have been getting my hair done by her for over 9 years now. She is wonderful and her employees there are very friendly. I totally have recommended my family and friends.

Ana is a magician, especially with hair coloring. She really knows how to cut great hair. She expertly chose a cut that is flattering for my face shape.

My friend and I came here for a simple trim — 2 inches off and long enough to keep it in a pony tail. Ana cut my hair and it was ok– she cut 4 inches off rather than 2 but I’m ok with it. My friend however, had her hair cut by one of the guys there and he gave her a CRAZY HAIRCUT. She had beautiful long hair and just wanted 2 inches off but he cut half the hair on her head to her chin and kept all the hair in the back super long. We were both horrified. Never going here again. It was $ 20 but not worth it.

I’ve been coming for almost two months here and I love it! I have very curly Dominican hair and I don’t let anyone other than Dominicans do it because is easy to freeze etc. And they always leave my hair flawless! Plus the atmosphere is just like being back home. Everyone is super nice and very attentive, I’ve never wait long in there is quick and a well done job! Alicia is my favorite she does magic all the time!

This place never lets me down. I was in town on vacation and decided to get a cut because Ana is the only person I truly trust with my hair. I cut about 8 inches off to donate to locks of love. I was a little worried how I would look with MUCH shorter hair, but again Ana delivered with a fantastic do! Love this place!!! :)
