Ava Apple & Co. Latin Dance

My fiancée and I took Ava’s wedding prep single class, two weeks before our wedding. Ava is a classy, confident lady who knows exactly how to cater to people who don’t want to look like tools at their own wedding, but also don’t need to put on a huge production.
In 90 minutes, Ava led us through a series of warm up exercises and dance moves together, and strung them together one-​by-​one. At the end, she took our iPhone and filmed us, so we will have something to practice with. She even helped us brainstorm for first dance songs. It was 100% what we were looking for, and for $ 75.00, well worth the price. I cannot recommend her enough for this purpose. Thanks Ava!

For someone without much experience in dancing, Ava is the best salsa teacher I’ve had. She is patient, funny, and very down-​to-​earth, but the best part about working with her is the way she breaks down every move so that it’s easy to understand exactly what to do. The emphasis on technique makes it accessible for beginners but also informative for more experienced dancers.

I have two left feet. I cannot believe the patience and the dedication Ava has. I am inspired to continue with my lesson plan. The studio is spacious and clean. If you have a chance go and give it a try.

Ava is a wonderful teacher. I can’t believe I can actually do a left double turn (ok, sometimes) and it’s all because of her classes (plus some private coaching, which was definitely worth it). She’s really into technique and stands far above any other salsa teacher in the Bay Area.

I trained with Ava for several years, some time ago. Her style is impeccable, while at the same time she is a very patient teacher. Hers is one of the few classes where both the leaders and followers roles are taught — not just the leaders. I mean, come on — we followers make the leaders look good! We need that instruction in class!
