I used to live in Richmond district and still love this neighbourhood. I like Basaar café for its neighborhood feel and live musuc that they have on Thursdays. What I don’t like about this place is their service. What happened to the good American service when you are nice to your customers, when you ask if there is anything else you can help me with, when you don’t rush(they rush and ignore you even when they are not busy), when you try to make your customers happy. The concept of a good customer service does not exist at this café. Otherwise it could be a nice coffee shop as food and coffee is good.

Funky and cool, Bazaar Café has its own personality and identity. This coffee shop has a nice selection of edibles, from small meals to cookies — consistently good. Free wireless, and even a few outlets for those with notebook computers. Bazaar Café also regularly sponsors acoustic music, but most customers will enjoy the informal atmosphere. There are a few«single» tables, though the remainder will be comfortable with the bench-style seating. On warmer days, you’ll love the garden area out back — one of the more inviting open-air spaces you’ll find.

I was born and raised in this neighborhood and have never been here. I had a friend visiting me from out of town and we wanted a light breakfast. so I figured let’s try the bazaar café, I’m right across the street… Well that was a mistake, should have went somewhere else. I don’t understand all the good reviews… so we walk in, late morning, we are the only customers in there. A few workers in there are hanging stuff up, we weren’t even acknowledged. The chick at the register kept walking from the back to the front, she saw us and didn’t acknowledge. My friend looked at me and said, «maybe they aren’t technically open yet? We were actually going to leave, when she finally asked to help us. So we decided to stay. We both ordered egg and cheese bagel. Nothing else, very simple order. No other customers. We go to sit down 10 mins pass, we don’t see the chick at the front or our order. 15 mins pass, I go up to see what’s up, the gal looks at me, She smiles and goes to the back. Maybe she forgot our order? I don’t know. 20 mins pass. Nothing. A few mins after that she brings our bagel… it should have taken no more than 5 mins to make these. this was a very bizarre experience, everyone in there seemed like they were stoned, slow, or just not awake… no apology for taking so long or ignoring us. I really like supporting my neighborhood cafés. But due to the sucky service and an over priced bagel, I will not be coming back.

Really enjoyed the open mic at Bazaar Café on my two visits to the Bay area. Well-run, well-attended by talented and attentive artists/musicians. The food was excellent, with our favorite being the veggie curry made by the owner — flavorful and delicious. Definitely plan to return on our next trip to San Francisco.

Even though there are Dodgers paraphernalia up by the register, i’m just gonna let that slide. Cute little café if you have any work to do and just sit down with your laptop. My boyfriend and I enjoy eating outside in the garden. They’ve got great lattes. But I specially enjoyed their food. Can’t go wrong with the pesto or even a tuna melt.

Just stopped by the Bazaar café on a Tuesday morning, and found it a fine place to sit for an hour or two. Bike parking is available right outside the front door, as well as seating in front and out back on the patio should the weather turn out alright. Wifi was consistent and it’s easy to get some work done here. Reasonably priced coffee and handmade cupcakes along with cookies and bagels and daily lunch specials all less than $ 10. The café is laid back, with people coming and going at a slow pace, some stopping to read, work, and others to quietly chat. Background music is chilled, and suitable for the spot.

I love Bazaar Café. A calming garden whisks you away from the traffic noise. The menu choices are unique and delicious. Two thumbs of for their rice soups and curries. True, as someone mentioned, they do offer Campbell’s soup as a choice but they aren’t trying to pass it off as their own recipe. The rice soups and curries, on the other hand, are homemade and delicious! Their open mic nights and guest artwork on the walls support the local arts which is great to see. Overall, the vibe is low-key, inviting and a great escape from the commercial coffee shops.

Been here more and more for coffee meetings. Quite folks and cell phones are usually taken outside. Coffee is great and even the muffins got better

Great neighborhood spot for brunch type chilling. They play lots of jazz, and it’s quiet, making it a great place to study. Sofas, tables, booze, bagels. Im pretty sure they have life performances too. I enjoyed the lox bagel last time I was here. They were out of lox today so I settled for a veggie bagel. Yayy

Les and establishment redeemed themselves. I enjoy coming in more frequently now. The staff are all accommodating now. The newest gal, I think Alexa or Allicia? Is very bubbly and welcoming. I enjoy listening to Josh Beemish’s crew and The Ukaladies.

I’ve discovered the Bazaar café a couple weeks ago when I was looking for a coffee shop that stays open past 6pm. Honestly, I’ve walked by the café a bunch of times before but wasn’t sure if it were open. I am glad I tried to open the door because it was actually open and there were people there. The coffee tastes good so it must be done right. I like the chairs outside. It is not always that I can find chairs that are comfortable for painful lower back. These chairs have to be declined to an extent and the ones they have outside are that type of chairs. The environment inside is kind of unique because it is not as spacious as other coffee shops so people sit relatively closer than elsewhere. It reminds me of a living room full of guests. Almost every day a bunch of different musicians arrive at the café and have shows on their small stage. It sounds like there is variety of styles so someone is likely to like it at least one of the days. There is a big outside patio area where you can sit as well. I haven’t tried food here yet so I am not commenting on that. I did see how people order soups all the time. Note: this is unrelated to the quality of the café but rather to a couple customers. They sit and enjoy the café inside. Sometimes they take a smoke break. I do not mind that at all. But why be so rude to the café by throwing your cigarette buts almost next to the café entrance? There are so many places where you can throw it politely. Under the tree, on the curb, and more. Note: if you’re chess player who’d like to play chess at Bazaar Café please message me. I can’t find people who play chess.

Good place for artistic expression with music players and poets taking over the front shop playing though the night. Local artists are featured by this café on their own schedule which can be found on their website. Tiny little coffee shop with a home made feeling. Warm and inviting with lots of books, hand made signs, trinkets and things on the table. Going to your best buddies house never felt this good. Nice garden out back gets you away from the noise and claustrophobia you will feel being in this café. Only three stars due to a menu item«Cambell’s Soup and Grilled Cheese» $ 7.50! I mean, really? Canned soup? I realize that this is a small business with a quirky DIY mentality but this is pure laziness. If not lazy than just plain strange. Not only the price but the choice to serve soup out of a can with melted cheese bread and call that your own creation. Sometimes a little effort goes a long way. I can see this being the perfect spot to sit and read or check your email. I don’t think I’ll be delving into the menu anytime soon.

I had excited to visit here due to high recommendation but actually everything was horrible, I got very shocked. First, very dirty. Not clean at all everywhere, bath room was stinky, even unable to flash the water. I ate sandwich with flying fly. Second, server were rude. Service was slow, because they were busy for chatting. Third, back yard was ok but that’s for smoker’s, it not heavenly place at all I had to come inside because there were only smoker at that time. I just feel bad if there are any people who check this Unilocal and decide to go there with expectation, and then turn out get disappointment, like me. So I just want to tell the truth and how I got feeling from this place.

great food, however, the only downfall is that you don’t get very much for what you pay for. it has vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options :) also, my favorite part is that it has outlets for phones, laptops, and etc. it’s such cute little café, and the lady was very nice.

I’m a fan of this local café in inner Richmond! During the day it’s very chilled and nice to sit out in the patio; in the evening they have artists/writers/musicians here fairly often, some weeknights and most weekend nights — check their website for event calendar! Sometimes the place gets busy and service can be pretty slow(one time coffee came more than half an hour later, but they told me beforehand and I was not in a hurry). I also get their curry plate(veggie/chicken) a few times, it’s pretty good and inexpensive(under $ 10). Books on the shelf like a mini library. I just loved the artsy vibe of this café.

This place is great! First, the espresso is exceptional and the food is super tasty. Be aware that usually it’s one person running the show so menu items will take a little longer but it’s definitely worth it! Second, there always seems to be some cool little event happening. Musicians, music video release screenings, independent artist displays, etc. And third, the staff is always super welcoming and pleasant. Kailey usually helps me and she’s awesome!

One of the cool places for coffee or tea and enjoy a very nice environment every Thursday with local singers. It’s so great enough to enjoy the music and be able to use your laptop and get some work done. It’s Like hitting 2 birds with one stone. This place gives kind of spirit of San Francisco.

Excellent little hole-in-the-wall café with amazing service! Their menu is small but perfect for the atmosphere. The best is to go out back into the garden area and enjoy your coffee, tea, bagel, etc. My fiancé had the tuna sandwich and highly recommended it. We came with a fairly large group(~8 or so), which was clearly more than they could handle easily and the girl working there kindly brought us cookies for the wait. It was such a nice experience, and I’d take anyone there if an occasion arose!

Antique-ish, grungy café with a telephone booth, collection of books/board games, and a garden in the back. Every table inside was occupied, but it was very quiet. No one was talking. Perhaps it’s more lively on the live music days, but otherwise it’s not the type of place to hold a conversation, unless you go to the garden. Friendly service.
