Best Haircuts

Happy to say I found my new regular haircut spot! Growing up in the city I’ve had my haircut by so many people in so many places but after my last cut the search is over. Trini is the absolute friendliest and seems to really care about her customers. I can honestly say I look forward to the 20ish minutes I spend in her chair :)

Trini is da bomb. I’m a dude, but I’ve seen ladies getting their hair permed, too! She leaves me satisfied, fresh taper, number .5 on the sides, faded towards the top! Supreme Machine Trini the Queen.

My first visit after researching a salon on Unilocal.My regular stylist is closed for the Chinese New Year holiday. Trini make me feel very welcome and she did a good job. I will go back for sure!

Trini is awesome! She gets it right every time, she is extremely friendly, a pleasure to be around and makes sure you’re happy before you leave. The prices are as fair as they get. The place is at a good location and never too busy, you can also call ahead of time and ask how long the wait it which is nice. Cash only (which most hair places are) and be sure to tip! She deserves it, 5 stars! Keep up the good work!

For once the name of a business matches the service. I am a fifty year old woman who has had long hair most of my life. All my life I have been mortified going to a hair salon because they never did what I asked. If I asked to get a trim they would take four inches off. Or they wouldn’t layer it right. I’ve literally never had a great hair cut until I went to Best Hair Cuts and met Trini. Trini is the woman who owns and operates the salon. She is absolutely the best. She executes the hair cut exactly as you ask. She is excellent at what she does and she couldn’t be nicer. She’s a real sweet lady who has a talent for cutting hair and the price is very reasonable. Went there today because another haircut place was lagging. Was SUPER IMPRESSED with the cut, especially since I am very picky. Trini the hair stylist knows what she is doing and is a very sweet lady!!!

Coming to a neighborhood place is always a crap shoot especially when it comes to getting a decent clipping without getting clipped in the wallet. So quite a while ago, I ventured into Best Haircuts on Taravel on recommendation from family members and was treated well by a happy and friendly hair stylists, Trini. So this review is based over several years of coming into the shop on a monthly basis to get my ears lowered.
Trini, who is the owner is gracious and friendly. The small shop sports an old-​school TV and a small waiting area. She mostly cuts men’s hair but she also does women’s styling and sometimes juggles between the customers waiting for a perm to set (further definitive description is beyond my scope and comprehension as a man).
As for the haircut, it is always done very well and I’ve actually received positive comments for my hair cut. You tell her what to do and she does it well, or I just say «clean up» and it comes out looking great. The blending and clipping is done accurately and you don’t come out feeling that a bowl was placed over your head and trimmed. She is quick but careful and for $ 12 it is still a bargain.

I been coming here for about 20 years now and there isn’t any place I would go. My hair has change through out the years and each time they get it right. Before I would get my cut zero on the sides and back and short and spikey on top. Now being a little bit older still zero on the sides and back but longer on top, no more spikey. A couples times I wanted to try a different place like Supercuts at Lakeshore. I told the lady how I wanted it but she said that she could get the side shaved zero going straight up because it wasn’t long enough and at the end my cut ended looking like a mushroom cut! I will never go back to a Supercuts again.
If you’re looking for a good place that can shave and cut, this is the place. Price is good $ 12 and usually I tip them $ 5 for doing a good job. Just a little advise, this place gets busy on Sat so come during the weekdays if you can because it is close on Sundays. Last thing is take a shower or wash your hair at home because if you do it here, its an extra $ 6. Save yourself some money or give it as tip.

Wow! What a hidden gem! I’m only the third to review? She did my hair to perfection, just in time for a new job starting tomorrow. A bad haircut would have been a disaster. Thank you! $ 12 — Unbeatable!

I’ve been coming to this place for over 20 years (since the haircuts were only $ 6), and I still can’t remember the name of the owner. The haircuts are always a good value, though, and both of the ladies working here will give you a quality haircut. Be careful about Saturdays as they’re usually 3 – 4 people ahead of you.

This place was recommended by a co-​worker. Normally i would shave my head myself but i have 2 weddings to attend in the next few weeks so i decided to let my hair grow. Cory at Salon de Picasso in North Beach is the usual place for me to go get my cuts but he’s on vacation at the moment. So that’s why i decided to give this place a try.
i walked in on a thursday afternoon right after work. There is 3 people ahead of me so i just took a seat. 2 ladies working their magic as i sit watching oprah. My turn came and i sat in the chair. The lady asked, how do you want your cut? i said, zero on the sides and back. She then went and did her thing. 15 mins later, my cut is done just exactly how i’d imagine it.
$ 12 haircut, cash only. Being that there is only the 2 ladies running the shop, there may be a wait. Bring your ipod or mp3 player to keep you entertained as they have many magazines on the rack for you to read while you wait. i give 2 thumbs up for the haircut !
